All rights reserved. 1#reInvent Event Report – AWS re:Invent : Push, push and AI The by now expected massive event (4ok+) that is the get together of the IT industry, spanning the Las Vegas strip, well organized. • AWS Outpost brings AWS services on prem on AWS managed AWS hardware • AWS gets into AI hardware and serious on running TensorFlow w a custom version • AI / ML focus is on democratization through simplification and applications • Database Innovation is alive and well with Amazon Quantum and Timestream • Firecracker – opensource is a good strategy and AWS may pull this off • Amazon QuickSight is back and promising to disrupt the BI space • Developer Tooling goes to where the developers live – all relevant IDEs MyPOV: AWS has opened a new chapter, it’s now a hardware provider and enables next gen computing. Tons of inno- vation in the portfolio. Custom AI hardware stands out.
