To mark the highly anticipated launch for the new GLC, EVENT PROJECTS was engaged by
Mercedes-Benz to design and implement an ‘out of the box event’ to give VIP guests a modern luxury
brand experience.
Set alongside the beaches of Byron Bay and the green hills of the Hinterland, we designed, created
and produced a pop up hotel ‘Glamping Ground’ and bespoke conference venue on behalf of
Mercedes-Benz.
The seven day event included “glamping” and associated pop up hotel hospitality, conference and
training facilities, sit down gala dinners and car reveal.
Our roles and responsibilities included 360 degree venue management, hotel management, full
hospitality, event production and execution of six gala dinners and car reveal concept, pop up
conference facility management, all pre + post production requirements and budget management.
Success highlights included:
• 600 guests facilitated across the hotel and conference facility over the course of 7 days.
• Leveraged multiple preferred supplier partnerships to bring the luxury “glamp-ground” creative to life,
building a small ‘village’ of luxury tents and tepees.
• Management of two day conference program with overlapping delegate groups and training schedules
and the management of onsite staff to ensure the smooth transition for each element across 3 different
daily locations.
• Car reveal special event each evening produced by a team of skilled production, sound, lighting and
tech specialists.
• Management and coordination of team of 40+ on site crew who were responsible for delivering their
event production component.
RESULTS
The event successfully brought to life the modern luxury brand positioning of the Mercedes-Benz GLC and
marked many firsts:
• Largest launch event for Mercedes-Benz in 7 years
• First time Dealer Principle’s and internal training programs were combined within one event concept,
venue and destination
• Marked the largest corporate event ever held in Byron Bay
• Largest corporate “glamping” experience ever hosted in Australia

Aligning with the global celebrations to celebrate The House of Lancome’s 80th year, 170 key media
influencers and celebrities were invited by Lancôme’s General Manager, Ed Holms, to attend a private
dinner, hosted at The Langham Hotel, Sydney.
EVENT PROJECTS created a luxury evening of beauty and elegance where the essence of Lancôme
was captured through an inspired voyage of the senses.
As guests sipped on Cuvée Rosé by Laurent Perrier, they were treated to the beautifully crafted
watercolour works of internationally acclaimed fashion illustrator, Kerrie Hess and the olfactory delights
delights of flawlessly arranged roses by Saskia Havekes of Grandiflora, that all contributed to bringing
the sophisticated quintessence of Lancôme to life.
Working alongside The Langham’s Executive Chef, Thomas Heinrich, and Head Patissiere, Chef
Miguel Jocson, Australia’s leading food editor, Donna Hay, created an exquisitely French-inspired
culinary experience.
To complete the evening, VIP guests and media were treated to a private performance by Jessica
Mauboy who was breath-takingly styled in a stunning pink Maticevski gown.

250 VIP fashion media were invited to attend the launch of Alex Perry’s couture collection
for Champagne Taittinger and celebrate the announcement of the brand partnership.
The event anchored around four, custom built, Dorothy Draper inspired champagne bars
where special guests Edwina McCann and Alex Perry mingled with the fashion crowd and
Taittinger VIPs.
2,600 silk ribbons were hand tied onto champagne glasses to create a luxe, feminine
detail and to easily identify each of the four new Champagnes - colours inspired by each
of the limited edition Champagne boxes.
Each brand was brought to life in a choreographed launch moment featuring 14 models
elegantly showcasing the Alex Perry gowns.

To mark the launch of a new beginning in the story of Impulse fragrances, EVENT PROJECTS
were briefed to design and produce an event to bring to life the light, delicious scents and
showcase the brand to over 100 media and fashion influencers.
The launch event announced the 3 new faces for the brand - Victoria's Secret Model Erin
Heatherton, Australian 'IT' girl Bambi Northwood-Blyth and Paris based international model
Zippora Seven.
To create digital content and photo opportunities, the venue and stage design incorporated a
perimeter of hurricane storm fencing spray painted gold and lavishly adorned with fresh florals
to showcase the base notes of each fragrances. Hot pink neon lettering #BEIMPULSIVE
completed the design and provided the perfect backdrop to sip bespoke cocktails, inspired by
each of the three new fragrances.
Following the event, an elaborately styled private dinner was hosted with Bambi, Erin and Zippy
the guests of honour among 20 fashion VIPs.

Briefed to create an extravagant A-list party atmosphere to celebrate the launch of Sydney’s first flagship
Nespresso store in Sydney’s CBD.
The worldwide pioneer in premium portioned coffee hosted celebrities, top chefs, media and business partners
including Miranda Otto & Peter O’Brien, Carla Zampatti, Anneliese Seubert and Camilla Freeman-Topper.
Renowned Australian chef, Justin North created a mouth-watering menu of coffee-inspired canapés, designed
exclusively for the event, while mixologist, Marco Faraone served delicious Nespresso inspired cocktails.
To bring the celebration to the streets, three flash mob performances were staged across Sydney’s CBD with
performances choreographed around catwalk models dressed in custom designed, Nespresso Pod inspired
costumes designed by Romance Was Born. Each performance led followers to the new store and culminated in an
exciting launch moment inside the store.
Event highlights included:
• Large scale red carpet arrival and media wall staged on Pitt Street Mall.
• Bespoke media wall designed using 3,500 Nespresso Pods.
• Creation of bespoke Nespresso Pod headpieces, designed and produced by Perth milliner, Reny Kestel. that
provided multiple photo opportunities.
• Partnership with Australian design studio, Balarinji, to commission a stunning dot painting installation, using
Nespresso pods.

EVENT PROJECTS are Stockland’s agency partner for all national conferences, meetings and trade events.
During the now five year partnership, EVENT PROJECTS have built strong internal relationships through their
commitment to add unexpected creative elements to every event, challenging the status quo and providing
opportunities for delegates to step outside their comfort zone and experience what it means to work for Stockland in
a fresh light.
Through this approach, technology and AV standards have improved helping to create deeper brand immersion at
each touch point and the choice of venues has transported delegates from the mundane to the WOW. Whether it be
fire pits and tepees, fashion and food, a curated gallery style exhibition or a customised marquee with bespoke bars,
food and entertainment, internal Stockland events now inspire and incentivise.
EVENT PROJECTS have brought interactive digital displays and video presentations, live artists, over size graphics,
branded furnishings, commissioned art pieces and various mini off-site events to push staff and teams into trying
something new. The standard has now been set very high and EVENT PROJECTS continue to work with their key
suppliers to ensure anything is possible, every time.
Managing long term relationships with various internal departments and multiple budgets, EVENT PROJECTS
understand the culture behind individual business silos, the educational objectives and the audience and confidently
provide customsied brand experiences that have the power to influence how internal stakeholders view the Stockland
