Objectives
Mission Statement
To market Inishowen as a tourist destination, to
increase numbers of domestic and overseas visitors
and revenue, while supporting existing sustainable
tourism enterprises and encourage emerging tourism
businesses.
Sustain and Grow
To continue to grow the number of visitors and market
share for Inishowen Tourism in order to sustain the
tourism, hospitality and recreational business base. This
will be done by continuing to work in partnership with
key agencies such as Failte Ireland and Donegal
Tourism.
Improve the Visitor Experience
Working with the tourism and hospitality trade to
provide a more coherent visitor experience through
improved quality and stronger linkages between
attractions and services in the area.
Build Shared Brand
Awareness
To focus marketing through the Inishowen brand and to
ensure that the tourism and hospitality trade have
opportunities to participate in and benefit from
promotions.

Sea Fest Galway 30th June - 2nd July
Fam Visits for Trade
Members
Tour of hidden gems of Inishowen for Trade Members .
This will allow trade members the opportunity to
discover the Peninsula, increase awareness of things to
do and see in Inishowen. It will also encourage
networking with fellow trade members and staff of
Inishowen Tourism.
Fam Visits for Journalists /
Tour Operators
Visits to Inishowen, International journalists in
conjunction with Failte Ireland
Cruise Tourism in
Greencastle
● Day trips incorporating
/walking/shopping/crafts/historical monuments.
● Developing walking tours in Greencastle and Moville
● Designing short 1/2 day bus tour of East Inishowen
● First Cruise Ship date spring 2017, to be confirmed
with Donegal Tourism.
Craft Retail Showcase
To expand craft retail / showcase of trade members
that is currently being sold in Buncrana.

Food trail / Food festival

Online & Offline, ITS aims to raise your business
profile & build brand awareness by driving the
correct user experience, traffic & search engine
signals.
Inishowen Tourism recently agreed to overhaul the
website, to increase the digital presence of trade
members, with a view to maximising online & social
web marketing potential.
The new site is mobile responsive & includes
interactive maps, an adaptive layout & navigation to
support all tourism & marketing campaigns.
During 2017, ITS invite continual feedback from
members to further tailor the packages to suit your
needs.
