What do u mean by aviation?
aviation. If someone tells you that he's in aviation school, that means he is learning how to fly a plane.
Aviation comes from the Latin a vis meaning "bird," an appropriate translation given that aviation deals
with travel by air, specifically in a plane.
This presentation helps us to look at professional networking from a more friendly and informal perspective. What works when you're looking for a job? What doesn't work?
The presentation starts off with a set of premises such as 'a friend is more likely to help you than a non-friend when looking at your resume' - a set of facts/assumptions that help drive the argument of corporate pick-up lines forward. We then discuss a set of lines that were used successfully to start a normal conversation, and we look at the common elements that help us start conversation with complete strangers. This can, in essence, be used to create new friendships (note 'friendships' rather than 'professional connections') which lead to new and exciting opportunities.

Karah Salaets first gave this talk at Big Design in Dallas, TX, on September 21, 2019.
In the design and UX fields, we often hear the term 'delight' thrown about as if it has a clear, consistent, always-appropriate definition (read: thrill, surprise, excite).
Karah argues that we need to reframe the way we think about delight by broadening the definition and appropriate contexts of use. Delightful design doesn't always have to mean excited or surprised, it could sometimes mean empowered, prepared, confident, and more.
Karah lists 10 traps that design and product teams fall into when trying to design to delight, then provides her tips for avoiding those traps.
