The filmmakers attracted their target audience, aged 30-50, in several ways. First, by casting actors in the same age range. Second, by choosing a political thriller genre which is becoming increasingly popular. Third, by referencing real life cases and current cinema trends to create a product that fits viewer interests. Finally, they used suspense and tension throughout the film to engage audiences.

2. How did we attract/address our
audience?

3. • Firstly, all of our actors were between the
ages of 30 and 50, which is also in the age
range of which, that our primary target
audience is within.

4. • Secondly, our film type is quite similar to a
political thriller. These film types are
becoming increasingly popular, therefore we
thought it would bring in a larger audience
than a simple thriller.

5. • Thirdly, with reference to recent real life cases
and trends in cinema viewing, we got an insight
into what people today watch, and this helped
us to address and attract our audience, by
producing a product that fits these trends. An
example of this would be the film- A fifth
estate, which follows real life political events.

6. • Fourthly, we used the idea of tension and
suspense, to suck our audience in as well. In
todays society we know that people love
suspense and tension, so we knew that would
attract the audience we needed.

7. • Finally, having used a specific object as the
focus of our sequence, we ensured that people
would be interested in the film from the
beginning.
