Through the use of various techniques like camera angles, editing, costumes and titles, the document challenges some conventions of music videos while also following some. It focuses on developing the opening style to convey the theme. Though some stereotypes are used, the video gives its own unique touch. Scenes are included purposefully to create a rare effect. Costumes and locations also play roles in challenging conventions rather than using stereotypes. The starting introduces characters in a mysterious style unlike other videos.
Different elements like the album cover work together to indicate the genre and create a sense of branding through aspects like one glass being black and one blue.
The video would likely be distributed by major companies like MTV that have global reach for promotion

The Roman Empire A Historical Colossus.pdfkaushalkr1407
The Roman Empire, a vast and enduring power, stands as one of history's most remarkable civilizations, leaving an indelible imprint on the world. It emerged from the Roman Republic, transitioning into an imperial powerhouse under the leadership of Augustus Caesar in 27 BCE. This transformation marked the beginning of an era defined by unprecedented territorial expansion, architectural marvels, and profound cultural influence.
The empire's roots lie in the city of Rome, founded, according to legend, by Romulus in 753 BCE. Over centuries, Rome evolved from a small settlement to a formidable republic, characterized by a complex political system with elected officials and checks on power. However, internal strife, class conflicts, and military ambitions paved the way for the end of the Republic. Julius Caesar’s dictatorship and subsequent assassination in 44 BCE created a power vacuum, leading to a civil war. Octavian, later Augustus, emerged victorious, heralding the Roman Empire’s birth.
Under Augustus, the empire experienced the Pax Romana, a 200-year period of relative peace and stability. Augustus reformed the military, established efficient administrative systems, and initiated grand construction projects. The empire's borders expanded, encompassing territories from Britain to Egypt and from Spain to the Euphrates. Roman legions, renowned for their discipline and engineering prowess, secured and maintained these vast territories, building roads, fortifications, and cities that facilitated control and integration.
The Roman Empire’s society was hierarchical, with a rigid class system. At the top were the patricians, wealthy elites who held significant political power. Below them were the plebeians, free citizens with limited political influence, and the vast numbers of slaves who formed the backbone of the economy. The family unit was central, governed by the paterfamilias, the male head who held absolute authority.
Culturally, the Romans were eclectic, absorbing and adapting elements from the civilizations they encountered, particularly the Greeks. Roman art, literature, and philosophy reflected this synthesis, creating a rich cultural tapestry. Latin, the Roman language, became the lingua franca of the Western world, influencing numerous modern languages.
Roman architecture and engineering achievements were monumental. They perfected the arch, vault, and dome, constructing enduring structures like the Colosseum, Pantheon, and aqueducts. These engineering marvels not only showcased Roman ingenuity but also served practical purposes, from public entertainment to water supply.
2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

2. How do your products use or challenge
conventions and how do they
represent social groups or issues?
3. Through combination of titles, credits, costumes, camera angles and editing, I have tried to
develop and challenge some of the forms and conventions of real media. As I have been
focusing on “POP” music genre, my major focus has been on the opening style of such kind
of music videos , which successfully managed to convey the theme.
Like other pop music videos, my video attracts a large number of women, couples and
families, including the target audience. Though, I have adapted the stereotypical ways used
by most of the music video makers, but my product is not a copy of any product, I have
given my own exclusive touch to my final product as well, which is very much reflected. For
example, I have used different kinds of shots and there are a large variety of shots used ; I
could have removed those scenes in the editing process, but I did not do that purposely, in
order to develop a rare kind of effect which was in my mind and successfully, I did that.
Costumes and locations have also played important roles in the creation of this video, which
does follow most of the conventions of real media, but at the same time challenges them as
well. Rather than putting stereotypical styles and locations, like the hero and heroine bump
into each other or places like cafeteria, houses, typical morning bed-room scene and etc, I
chose a different style for introducing the characters of my video, which is quite mysterious
due to which the audience will find this clip attractive. The starting of my video does not
resemble any other video as I have used my own instincts and ideas to create the video.
4. Evaluation Q2
How do the elements of your production work
together to create a sense of ‘branding’
5. Different music artists use different ways to create brand name. They use television , media
channels , radios , poster , billboards and posters to let people know about their product and
have an idea about it. There are teasers reveled for music videos which do really attract the
audience .
In my production work I made a digipak for my music album , however I think that it has really
crated a sense of branding as from the cover you could judge the genre and it attracts the
audience
Above picture is my album cover , looking at this picture we can have a idea that what kind of
genre would be of the music video . The glasses hes wearing created a sense of branding as one
glass is black and one is blue.
6. Evaluation Question 3
How do your products engage with the audience
and how would they be distributed as real media
products?
7. DISTRIBUTION
If i had to pick a distribution company for my video it would certainly be MTV or
ARY music. The company has operations in various countries across the globe and
has a very large audience. It is a well known company across the globe.
Distribution Platforms
There are various distribution platforms available, like Blu-Ray, cinema, home DVD
and Online also. It depends on the budget and genre of the music video whether
it is for commercial purpose or not.
Promotion
Promotion of such projects is relatively easy, however the effectiveness depends
on efficiency of methods used. To promote my video I have many social sites, like
Facebook, the video could have its own website, posters and trailers on highly-
watched television channels.
TARGET AUDIENCE
There is no particular class I am are targeting in this video. Since it's a genre related
to the almost everyone , the target is al kind of people
8. Evaluation Question 4
How did you integrate technologies – software,
hardware and online – in this project?
9. In the making of my media product, I used two different cameras which were Nikon D3100
and Nikon D70. the issue with one of the cameras was that I was unable to use same frames
on the cameras. I had some lighting issues too. which were solved by these cameras.
I used a tripod to try my best to have a perfect shot.
For editing I used Adobe premier for the first time however it was really different as I was
using it for the first time. Cutting and Compiling the raw footage from both of the camera's
was done by the Razor Tool.
In this Project slideshare also helped a lot to make presentations regarding the band logo
and making of digipak. I also used Adobe Photoshop was used to make my music digipak. I
used Adobe Illustrator to make the logo.
