As you’re blogging make sure you embed each question
as a separate post. Use a different presentation method
for each question (looks better). Be creative, include
images and accurate references. Even if you use
PowerPoint you can also embed sound and movie files
and YouTube videos.
Make sure you have the links working. You can insert
internet hyperlinks and charts.

avoid large pieces of text. Embed documents on
your blog or link from PowerPoint to sites like

find interesting and VISUAL ways to interest the moderator in your
work. Use plenty of graphics and thumbnails. You will be given
marks based on your skills in digital media.

• You will be expected to submit at least FIVE slides per question if
using PowerPoint but this can vary if you have a hyperlink on a
single slide or use a Voki etc.
• You are asked to demonstrate good communication skills.
Here is a good example of a PowerPoint page that can be easily
read by an audience. Please keep the page style as plain as possible.

                                              Don’t submit -
                                              these pages are for
                                              the final exam. It is

Q4 Audience Profile Cont.
           • Lucy is a typical 18-year old, who works
hard at school but also like going out to
parties. She is popular and has lots of
friends, but she is concentrating on
getting into a good university, after taking
a gap year. Lucy enjoys listening to pop
records, such as those by Lady Gaga, and
likes to watch Rom-Coms, as well as
horror films. She shops most regally at
Topshop, H&M, River Island and at ASOS.
She is middle class, therefore money is
not much of an issue due to her parents
having well paid jobs. I felt that Lucy was
my main target audience for a female, as
she is young enough to have the time to
go out to the cinema and see friends, but
she is not so young that she is immature.
           • Females are the main gender that I want
my film to appeal to, as although it is a
horror film, there will be a strong female
               lead.
Q4 Audience Profile Cont.
• Jack is a 'normal' 21-year old who likes to party
but can sometimes take it too fargetting
                                       ,
drunk and acting stupidly. Apart from the
hangovers, Jack's life is going well. He has just
finished studying a two year course at
university, and is about to start his first full-time
as an accountant. Jack enjoys playing on his
game console, snowboarding and listening to
indie bands, such as the Arctic Monkeys. He
shops most often at Topman, Burton and
Animal. Apart from watching horror films, he
also enjoys watching action and adventure
movies. Jack is middle class, and got a new car
from his parents for his 21st birthday.
• Although my movie is primarily targeted at
females, males will still be interested in it
  because of the horror aspect.
Q5. How did you attract/address your audience?

• What was within your media product that
appealed to them? Relate this back to genre
and conventions, will the audience be
  satisfied? What other techniques
layout, images, design, colour etc. made your
  magazine appealing?
• Did you show your magazine to an audience
for feedback? Put a link to YouTube that
attaches directly to a focus group or series of
vox pops about your magazine and evaluate
the type of feedback you have received.
(detailed textual feedback in class) What
  could be improved?
Q 6. What have you learnt about technologies from
the process of constructing this product?

 • 2-4 slides detailing everything you have learnt
from using technology. Mention any technical
difficulties you encountered and how you tried to
solve them. What software and hardware did you
use? Did you realise so much work went into
   creating similar media products?
Q 6. cont
• Assess your technical skills: are there any
shots or edits you are really proud of? What
would you do differently to improve or alter
your product? Were there any limitations to
  your creativity?
Evaluation Q 7; Looking back at your preliminary task
(College magazine), what do you feel you have learnt in
the progression from it to the full product (music mag)?

• Slides insert images of your
  original preliminary exercise.
Comment on how you found the
  preliminary exercise and describe
what the hardest thing was to
  overcome?
• Were you happy with it? Be
totally honest and pick apart the
good and bad elements of it. This
  is an evaluation.
Evaluation Q 7 cont.
• How does your final
  magazine demonstrate a
  progression in the
  standards of
  photography, typography
  and layout compared to
  your preliminary.
• Again, you can use screen
  grabs to illustrate specific
  points. Lastly, what do
  you think you have learnt
  from completing the
  coursework overall?
Summary
• Answer each of the questions as a separate
  blog entry
• Use different formats for each question where
  possible.
• Use lots of appropriate images to illustrate
  your points
• Clearly write each of the Questions 1 – 7 and
use as a title before answering the question.
