The document compares the research and planning process for a preliminary task and final product. For the preliminary task, only one magazine was researched and the process involved three stages. However, for the final product multiple magazines and distributors were researched, numerous flat plans were drawn, test shots were taken, and various additional research steps were performed including researching fonts, creating a mood board, and doing call sheets, location recces, and risk assessments. These expanded research efforts resulted in a final product that was more organized and looked more professional compared to the preliminary task.
