How Did You Attract/Address
Your Audience

I Began My Market Research With A
Questionnaire
In this questionnaire I asked my target
market various questions on their likes
and dislikes and what they would want to
see in a new music magazine. I printed off
30 questionnaires and distributed them
amongst my target audience. Using the
results to determine what my target
audience liked and wanted.
Here is an example of a scanned filled in
questionnaire I distributed.
My Target Market
 In this questionnaire I asked my target market of males and females
generally between the ages of 14-25. As you can see from the results I have
made into graphs the range of people I surveyed for my magazine.
What I found out was…
 The majority of my target audience did prefer types of rock compared to the
other selections given in the survey, this was vital in determining the main
genre of music that should be included on a weekly basis in my magazine, as
it is what the target market want to see.
Evidence
As you can see I have incorporated my
target audience likes and dislikes in the
main stories of my magazine, with my
target audience preferred choice of genre
rock so I have included Liam Gallagher
and his Rock band Beady Eye as an
example of the type of music that will be
in the issues of my magazine.
Enticing the audience
As you can see I also incorporated the free gift
what my market said they wanted appealing
the magazine to their likes.
Also
 I enticed my target audience following similar conventions in magazines
such as NME showcasing that my magazine is a contender for best rock
magazine in the current music market.
Finally
 With my double page spread I have let my
audience know that they can interact
with the magazine and the artist by
visiting the website for the full interview
and also, appealing to the target market
by including the free music download of
the artists single, where they can get a
free download.

  • 3. My Target Market  In this questionnaire I asked my target market of males and females generally between the ages of 14-25. As you can see from the results I have made into graphs the range of people I surveyed for my magazine.

What I found out was…  The majority of my target audience did prefer types of rock compared to the other selections given in the survey, this was vital in determining the main genre of music that should be included on a weekly basis in my magazine, as it is what the target market want to see.
  • 5. Evidence As you can see I have incorporated my target audience likes and dislikes in the main stories of my magazine, with my target audience preferred choice of genre rock so I have included Liam Gallagher and his Rock band Beady Eye as an example of the type of music that will be in the issues of my magazine.
  • 6. Enticing the audience As you can see I also incorporated the free gift what my market said they wanted appealing the magazine to their likes.
  • 7. Also  I enticed my target audience following similar conventions in magazines such as NME showcasing that my magazine is a contender for best rock magazine in the current music market.

Finally  With my double page spread I have let my audience know that they can interact with the magazine and the artist by visiting the website for the full interview and also, appealing to the target market by including the free music download of the artists single, where they can get a free download.
