2. How I used new media technology in the
process of researching.
• During my planning I used computers a lot in order to access the
internet , I also used my iPhone and iPad for internet access. Internet
access was essential for my research , a website I used a lot was
YouTube. With YouTube I had millions of music video to view at the
tips of my fingers. I looked at iconic and interesting music videos. This
was a vital part of the research because I was able to look at the
conventions that were used , developed and challenged in these
music videos by analysing them using therefore by people such as
Andrew Goodwin. The more research I did on music videos the more
likely I was to produce a more effective one myself. I also used
websites like slideshare in order to present my research is a more
intresting way.

3. How I used new media technology in the
process of planning.
• Again the use of smart devices was essential (Computers , iphones ,
tablets) I used them to access google maps makes which gave showed
me images of particular locations so I could decide weather they were
suitable or not. I also used a weather app on my phone to check the
weather in advance so I wouldn’t choose a rainy day to film on which
would cause health risks and damage of equipment. I used adobe
premier to edit my animatic (an animation made up of drawings from
the story board) this helps me get an idea of what my music video will
look like so I can make a judgement on how effective it is and when
filming I have a better picture in my mind of what I need.

4. How I used new media technology in the
process of construction
• I used a HD camera to film my music video and then utilised adobe
premier software to edit my music video. After that I used Photoshop
in order to construct my digipak and Poster by editing pictures I had
taken. After I finished my music video I used to website survey
monkey to make a survey , I then distributed the survey on social
networks such as , Tumblr , twitter and Facebook. 40 people took part
in this survey and I was able to assess how effect my music video had
been.
