At the start of creatingourfilmwe knewthatit wasgoingto be aimedat teenagersfrom16 to 20 yearsold,so we knewthatwe neededtohave certainaspectsof thisfilmappeal specificallytothis age group. How did we make our filmappeal to these groups? Race and sexuality- Race and sexualitydidn’tplayaverybigfactor. We didn’tfocusonsexualityasthere is nowaythat thiscouldbe shown,and we didn’tthinkthatitwouldmatteras our filmwouldstillbe entertaining. Race didn’tplaya bigpart either.Howeverwe didonly have one actor,whohappenedtobe white, there were alsolotsof extras(general public) whoappearedinourfilm, whojusttobe white due to the area that we shotin, whichlimitedus. Clothing- The main waywe made our filmappeal tothese social groupswasthroughthe clothingthatour protagonistwaswearing.We made sure that we pickedanoutfitthatfitour social group’sstyle and description.Thisoutfitincludedan AdidasHat,Shoesanda NorthFace jacket.

We feltthatthese itemsof clothingbothrepresented the social group,astheyall blackand inconspicuouswhichwe thoughtfitperfectlytoa hackersocial group,especiallyoursasour character istryingto move arounda busyarea withoutbeingnoticed. Our targetaudience wasteenagers,howeverwe didthinkthatthe filmismore engineeredtowards males,asaspectssuch as hacking,are male dominated.We showedthisthroughthe clothingasthe colourblackis seenasa masculine colour. Thistype of clothingisalsorelativelymainstreamandpopular,soitwill relate toteenagers,whoare our targetaudience. Location- The locationwe usedwasan urban area,we usedthisaswe thoughthatour target social groups wouldbe able torelate to beinginanurban builtupsetting.
