- 2. + Conventions What thriller conventions did you use? We used several thriller conventions when filming. We used a CLIFFHANGER at the end when Sam received the “Got it” text from Michal. Also, the mysterious device that he collected made audiences wonder what that was for, and why Michal was undercover collecting it – it must have some important purpose.
- 3. + Another thriller convention that we used was a sense of enigma. On our first day of filming, we used the plastic bag with a drug substance inside as the enigma, but then we realized that this probably wouldn’t be the best prop to use, simply because it gave away too much of the plot to the audience. We decided that if we used a mysterious device it would leave the audience thinking more about things like; what’s so important about it? What is it? What information does it hold?
