1. What have you learnt about
technologies from the process of
constructing this product?

2. I began my project by researching other
existing music magazines so that I could get a
feel of the generic conventions and layout of a
successful magazine.

plenty of magazine examples

needed to collect audience feedback and usefull
infomation and opinions about my target audience.

audience i used the website servey monkey.

which included both open and closed questions.

me to easily email my survey to other people in my

19. After collecting and analysing audience
feedback, began to plan my magazine including
features which were proven popular in my
questionnaires. I began to plan out the layout of my
magazine using and following typical codes and
conventions of a typical magazine of my genre

boxes

for my magazine

when creating my final magazine

23. The next stage of my project was taking a photo
shoot of the model that I would use on the cover of
my magazine.

27. I took a range of photos which I was able to use
throughout my magazine

30. After taking photos I used photo editing software to
edit the photos so that they fitted with the pages of
my magazine and the genre

32. As well as this I used publisher picture tools to edit
the colouring of my photos

33. For example I edited this photo so that it was in
black and white and also edited out the background
so that it fit with the style of the double page spread
and was more conventional

Blur tool in photoshop

37. I again used the Photoshop picture tools to edit the
contrast on the cover photo of my magazine

40. In order to use more effective font choices i used a
website called Da Font which enabled me to pick
from hundreds of fonts

41. The website also allowed me to search for a theme
of a font, I therefore was able to search ‘Grunge’

42. This brought up many fonts which were suitable for
the use within my magazine

43. In order to use the fonts I used the ‘Print Screen’ key
on the keyboard

44. As well as Fireworks Macromedia to crop my font

45. I used ‘Grunge’ fonts from this
website for all of the features of my
magazine

46. I used blogger to upload my project in sections
throughout the process

47. This was an effective and beneficial tool as it also
allowed me to look up statistics and receive
comments on my work
