WHAT KIND OF MEDIA
INSTITUTION MIGHT
DISTRIBUTE YOUR
MEDIA PRODUCT AND
WHY?
I looked at both IPC media that publish NME and Uncut, and Bauer
Media that publish Kerrang!
I decided IPC would be the best publisher for my product
IPC media publish a high range of magazines and have a lot of
expertise in all areas of publishing. As they publish UNCUT, which is a
rock and film magazine, although targeting an older audience, they
would be suitable. My product would address an audience that they
don’t currently fill.
IPC has more than 60 iconic media brands, for multiple
platforms, including magazines and online publications. They
distribute to 26 million UK adults about two thirds of UK women and
about 40% of UK men.
In April IPC Media has revealed a new positioning for their
advertising policy called Inspired Conversations. This will allow
advertisers more access to editorial content and encourages them to
work in cooperation with IPC to look at who buys IPC products and
why. This shows they are a forward looking company who are
interested in new innovations. They are the number one company in
this country which would give my product a better chance of success.
