Pros Cons
• First off, we have a video of • There is not a lot of text.
how to properly interview Although too much text is a
someone for a documentary bad thing, it does leave all
• Straight afterwards, we have the explanation to the four
the interview with videos inserted into the
   professional Docu-Film maker post
Nick Hamer. • Additionally, there is not
• This is split into two videos; much ‘response’ to the
one dealing with the initial video, which would
interview itself, and the other help show that the student
with Nick Hamer’s top tips for (i.e. me) has acknowledged
budding documentary film the information provided by
   makers the video
• The final video deals with
   separate focus-groups. These
   were done in separate styles
   of ‘interview’ to reflect what
   we had learnt from the
   interview with Nick Hamer
Pros Cons
• There are multiple uses of • This post is arguably very
quotes taken from books text heavy. Although there
written by a particular is a video at the end to
theorist (e.g. ‘simplify’ the theories, the
T.E.Perkins), with content sheer amount of text does
relevant to the post. This is appear overwhelming.
   then explained in my own
   words, using examples from
   the product
• There is also details
   concerning three major
   narrative theories, which
   are applied to the
   product, and explained
• At the end, there is the use
of a video to help simplify
   these narrative
   theories, and apply them
   creatively to the product
   subject (i.e. the police in
   Leicester)
Pros Cons
• Each idea is clearly laid • TOO MUCH TEXT!
out, and summed up • There was a possibility
through pros and cons here for creativity to be
• Although each idea is explored through the use
different, there are key of different media styles.
conventions of an action – For example, the separate
film which are inside each narrative ideas could be
‘idea’ (e.g. police figures) shown in separate
                                      videos, each using stop-
motion lego to give an idea
of how it would look like.
                                    – Or even have the
                                      information presented on a
                                      slideshow presentation
Cons
• In terms of research, this is a disaster.
• Although I have obtained sources of information
relating to ‘current’ events, there is no in depth
analysis of any of these articles
• There are no videos examining the content, there
are no slideshows of images of the articles, and
there is no analysis at all of the content
• Realistically, this can definitely be presented
better. There is no obvious connection to the
product either, only a small paragraph at the
bottom summarizing that the ‘current’ attitude
towards police is divided in response to the
  handling of the riots.

Pros Cons • First off, we have a video of • There is not a lot of text. how to properly interview Although too much text is a someone for a documentary bad thing, it does leave all • Straight afterwards, we have the explanation to the four the interview with videos inserted into the professional Docu-Film maker post Nick Hamer. • Additionally, there is not • This is split into two videos; much ‘response’ to the one dealing with the initial video, which would interview itself, and the other help show that the student with Nick Hamer’s top tips for (i.e. me) has acknowledged budding documentary film the information provided by makers the video • The final video deals with separate focus-groups. These were done in separate styles of ‘interview’ to reflect what we had learnt from the interview with Nick Hamer

This is appear overwhelming. then explained in my own words, using examples from the product • There is also details concerning three major narrative theories, which are applied to the product, and explained • At the end, there is the use of a video to help simplify these narrative theories, and apply them creatively to the product subject (i.e. the police in Leicester)

  • 11. Pros Cons • Each idea is clearly laid • TOO MUCH TEXT! out, and summed up • There was a possibility through pros and cons here for creativity to be • Although each idea is explored through the use different, there are key of different media styles. conventions of an action – For example, the separate film which are inside each narrative ideas could be ‘idea’ (e.g. police figures) shown in separate videos, each using stop- motion lego to give an idea of how it would look like. – Or even have the information presented on a slideshow presentation

  • 13. Cons • In terms of research, this is a disaster. • Although I have obtained sources of information relating to ‘current’ events, there is no in depth analysis of any of these articles • There are no videos examining the content, there are no slideshows of images of the articles, and there is no analysis at all of the content • Realistically, this can definitely be presented better. There is no obvious connection to the product either, only a small paragraph at the bottom summarizing that the ‘current’ attitude towards police is divided in response to the handling of the riots.
