HOW EFFECTIVE IS THE
COMBINATION OF
YOUR MAIN PRODUCT
AND ANCILLARY TEXTS
 The main theme of the video is love, anger , heartbreak and power.
 Power is shown right away within the music video. This is because the
man is seen shouting at the woman at the beginning this portrays him as
dominant right away. A feminist interpretation of this would be that the
woman is being portrayed as subordinate to the man as the genre is
patriarchal and dominated by males. This is also shown in keyshia cole’s
music video I should have cheated. The narrative shows the girl being a
house wife and finding out her spouse is cheating. This results in a
argument and the male is seen aggressively talking down to her

 The theme of love is shown through the flash backs. The usage of black
and white helps enable this to be clear. This is also shown in trey songz
music video heart attack. This helps build the narrative. The simultaneous
use of the happy memories and the sad memories within the flash backs
helps promote the existence of love and heartbreak.

 A postmodernist view would be that we have confused time and space
globalisation and communications technology have distorted traditional
concepts of time and space dimensions Due to several re visits to the

FEMALE TARGET MARKET
 We also decide to promote our single through

PRINT PRODUCTS
 Our print products all follow the same colour scheme of red and
white. This was kept consistent with the font. This made our product
stand out as it. The bright red is symbolic as it represents the anger
between the couple but also the warmth that the love had provided
for the,. Finally red is connoted with being hot and this is what we
want the artist to be the “hot topic”.
 All of the case studies also use a cental image on the front and have
red font to make it stand out. We took this into consideration as we
felt it would help the product sell.
During the construction of our digi-pack we felt
that it was important that the artist wore clothes
similar to that of the music video. We felt this would
help promote the single because when people
saw it the cd and advert they would think of the
music video. This is also done by the game. His cd
cover is used from a scene within his music video
the dream. By us following this convention this
helped all of our products link. The house style of
bright red was linked to the flashing lights in which
we used in the video. The choice of clothing for the
artist always and red inside in order to link with the
flashing lights and the house style.
UNIQUE SELLING POINT
 We haven’t distributed online where as now within the
modern day you can purchase online via iTunes and
amazon. Many singles are promoted via YouTube
advertisements as well, because a large amount of
music videos are promoted on ads across different
genres of YouTube channels, such as reality, TV, gaming
and music. So if I were to this it would widen our target
audience which would expand the artists fan base.
 The use of a release date acts as an imperative
for the target audience to purchase the single as
soon as possible, giving them a head start
against the rest of the market. I would do the
same in the real world
