Research and Planning
3. I was able to use YouTube in order to watch several Horror trailers and
look for codes and conventions within them which would be helpful for
my own trailer because I was able to look at the common ways in which
horror trailers are made and use this in my own product. Similarly
Google was very useful for me because I was able to further research into
trailers, posters and magazine covers and find conventions of these three
things.
4. The main form of media technology that allowed me to present my
coursework online was Blogger. Through this I was able to show my
research, planning, construction and evaluation stages. Also
presentation websites as shown above helped me throughout my
research and planning because it allowed me to organise my planning
effectively so I was able go back and look at anything that I needed to.
Likewise for my research it clearly showed the development of my
knowledge of horror trailers.

Construction
6. For the construction of my products I used Adobe Premiere Pro and
Photoshop. This was useful because I could have taken a simple route
and used Windows Movie Maker but because I have already used
Premiere Pro at foundation portfolio I was aware of the different aspects
of the editing software so I knew how to use it to make my trailer.
However this was my first time using Photoshop so it took me a while to
get a hang of it but once I did I was able to use the basic features.
Therefore due to my inexperience I don’t think I used this effectively
because I didn’t experiment with things.

Evaluation
8. I used various presentation software such as Slide.es and E-maze in
order to present my evaluation questions. This allowed me to move away
from the simple type of presentation such as text and image and try out
other websites even though they may appear similar to one another.
However I feel as if I didn’t use media technologies as much as I should
have at this stage because there were other ways I could have shown my
answers such as making a video with voiceovers.
