What have you learnt about
technologies from the process of
constructing this product?

2. These are all of the technologies
that I have used during the creation
of my film opening. I have had
previous experience with some but
not others, therefore creating a
challenge.

3. Technologies
used
Premier Pro
I have had some previous experience
with Premier Pro whilst editing my short
pre-production film. However, I still had
very little experience and therefore
using this programme was a great
learning experience despite being
difficult and complicated at times. I
learnt how to unlink my clips from their
audio and also insert key frames to fade
audio in and out.
Blogger
I have had experience with
blogger for my pre-production
however, I was still learning how
to properly add things to my
blog, embed my work and
change the design of my blog. I
have learnt a lot about using
blogger during this experience.
I have used google before.
I used google in this task to
research about thriller
films and their
producers/distributors,
budgets, actors, release
dates etc. Google has been
a very useful tool whilst
researching conventions
and target audiences also.
After never using slide
sharebefore, it was difficult to
get my head around.
However, I have learnt to use
it to upload PowerPoints onto
my blog and also crate
slideshows to describe the
actors and equipment that
would be used in my film
opening.
I used the website
StoryboardThat to create a
storyboard for my film
opening. I have never used
this website before but found
it easy and useful to use,
therefore creating detailed
and realistic storyboards.
I have used South park
studio before in other
subjects and therefore this
was easy to use. I used this
programme to create the
avatars for my imagined
target audience, one was a
male and the other was a
female.
I used the website Mindmup to
create the mind maps for my Thriller
conventions, target audience ideas
and different types of thriller movie
(for example, psychological thriller). I
had never used this website before
however I learned how to use it
quickly and upload my mind maps to
my blog easily.
I used YouTube to research Thriller
trailers to help with my research into
my genre. YouTube allowed me to
look at thriller film openings in order
to help me get a better idea of what I
was aiming for with my film opening.
