Evaluation task 4
Electronic hardware

Above are the two pieces of electronic hardware that we used to make our music
video. There is no specific reason why I wanted to use these electronic devices.
Every member of our group has a MacBook Pro . This is useful as we can use
Imovie and Iphoto to develop our ideas further. The fact that we were all using the
same hardware is important because it means that we are going to get the same
results as we help out the editing process. We also used a camera that was
provided to us by the media department at school. This camera was easy to use
and very straight forward. The camera did exactly what we needed it to do . The
camera was very easily connected to the computer which is incredibly useful when
we filmed for half a lesson and then wanted to get straight on the computer and
start editing.
Blogger
Blogger is the website that I used to
display the work that I have put into
this piece of work. This is where I
display all of the ideas that we have
had . I can display all the different
variations we had when we were
making our music video. Blogger is a
free website . When I started media
over a year ago we set up our
blogger accounts so that we could
display our work. Blogger is a very
easy interface to use. I soon became
very accustomed to how to use it
and I changed the design of my
blog. I can set up links to twitter and
Facebook which can be useful so
people can see my work .
Slideshare.com
I have used Slidehsare to upload
my Powerpoint presentation on
evaluation. Slideshare is easy to
use and is very quick . It enables
me to link my presentation
straight to my blog so that my
teacher can see me work.
Sli§deshare is very clever as
you can preview my
presentation in small form on my
blog instead of having to follow a
basic link.
Youtube.
Youtube is a website that I have
used regularly. I used this website to
upload my music video from start to
finish. Youtube is the website that all
famous music artist will use to
upload new music videos. The
brilliance of youtube is that it is open
to the whole world . This is useful
because we want people to watch
our video and then hopefully leave
good feedback. Youtube is free to
use and upload videos on and is
also free to view so we have a large
target market. Youtube is easy for
my teacher to view the work and
progress that I have made on my
video.
iMovie.
I chose to use iMovie because it is very
simple to use. It is also free on my
Macbook. It is very easy for us to edit
our videos on this piece of software.
There are some very interesting effects
and features that iMovie offers that
other editing software doesn’t. iMovie
was very good for us as a group as we
all had it installed on our computers.
iMovie made it very easy for me to
transport our video to other peoples
laptops so we could get feedback.
With iMovie you can get the lip sync in
very good timing . This has a very
obvious advantage that your video is
going to look very proffesnional.
Facebook.
Facebook is a very useful website
that can help to promote my video.
We can post our videos on our
Facebook page so that people can
view it and then we can get feedback
off our peers and friends. Having our
friends cast their opinion our video is
very useful so we can make
modifications to the video. Facebook
is very useful as it is very easy to
arrange shooting. It is also beneficial
as it can be useful if we needed to
ask for friends to get involved with
our video as extras.

  • 5. Youtube. Youtube is a website that I have used regularly. I used this website to upload my music video from start to finish. Youtube is the website that all famous music artist will use to upload new music videos. The brilliance of youtube is that it is open to the whole world . This is useful because we want people to watch our video and then hopefully leave good feedback. Youtube is free to use and upload videos on and is also free to view so we have a large target market. Youtube is easy for my teacher to view the work and progress that I have made on my video.
  • 6. iMovie. I chose to use iMovie because it is very simple to use. It is also free on my Macbook. It is very easy for us to edit our videos on this piece of software. There are some very interesting effects and features that iMovie offers that other editing software doesn’t. iMovie was very good for us as a group as we all had it installed on our computers. iMovie made it very easy for me to transport our video to other peoples laptops so we could get feedback. With iMovie you can get the lip sync in very good timing . This has a very obvious advantage that your video is going to look very proffesnional.
  • 7. Facebook. Facebook is a very useful website that can help to promote my video. We can post our videos on our Facebook page so that people can view it and then we can get feedback off our peers and friends. Having our friends cast their opinion our video is very useful so we can make modifications to the video. Facebook is very useful as it is very easy to arrange shooting. It is also beneficial as it can be useful if we needed to ask for friends to get involved with our video as extras.
