I feel fortunate to attend Northfield Mount Hermon School (NMH), playing on the Varsity Hockey Team, and participating in the wide range of academic offerings that make it a world-class school. NMH is one of the Eight Schools Association, founded in 1973, which is comprised of some of the best-known prep schools in the United States, including Phillips Exeter Academy; Phillips Academy, Andover; and Deerfield Academy.

2. Northfield Mount Hermon School
I feel fortunate to attend Northfield Mount
Hermon School (NMH), playing on the Varsity
Hockey Team, and participating in the wide
range of academic offerings that make it a
world-class school. NMH is one of the Eight
Schools Association, founded in 1973, which is
comprised of some of the best-known prep
schools in the United States, including Phillips
Exeter Academy; Phillips Academy, Andover;
and Deerfield Academy.

3. Northfield Mount Hermon School
Founded as two separate male and female institutions
in the late nineteenth century by Protestant evangelist
Dwight Lyman Moody, NMH took its present co-
educational form in 1971. NMH retained the remnants
of these two separate institutions in the Northfield and
Mt. Hermon campuses, located five miles apart, until
the campuses merged in 2004, creating a smaller and
more close-knit community. In December 2009, NMH
sold the core of the Northfield campus, on which the
C.S. Lewis College will soon be established.

4. Northfield Mount Hermon School
With a total of 630 students in grades 9 to post-
graduate, NMH offers small classes and
outstanding educational resources. Thanks to
the dedicated teaching staff at NMH, I have
become interested in pursuing my interests in
science and business at college.

5. Northfield Mount Hermon School
NMH has several unique aspects that few schools can offer. It
features a working farm, where students grow various fruits,
vegetables, and crops. And each spring, students collect 24,000
gallons of sap that is boiled down into 600 gallons of Grade-A
maple syrup. The proceeds from the maple syrup sales fund
school activities. NMH also has excellent outreach programs.
Students are able to build houses for Habitat for Humanity,
participate in Big Brother and Big Sister programs, or donate
time at local homeless shelters. I have been involved in
volunteering for Habitat for Humanity in the past. I recommend
