Jade Craig created characters and a narrative for a mother-daughter film. She chose an antagonist mother and protagonist daughter with contrasting personalities. Jade researched techniques like denotation, connotation, and camera shots. Her group learned how to use filming equipment like tripods, boom poles, and cameras. Editing in Final Cut was difficult at first but Jade learned the software. Overall, she felt unprepared for filming due to time constraints but chose another student's similar idea for the film elements needed.

2. Planning
During the planning process, we had to come up
with our own individual narrative and characters
based on the three different groups of characters we
were given. The groups were;
- Mother and Daughter
- Boss and Employee
- Football player and Manager

3. My Idea
I chose to go with the mother and daughter. I had to
identify who was the protagonist and who was the
antagonist, through this I decided that the mother
would be the antagonist, and the daughter would be
the protagonist.
For my narrative I made it simple but clear, although
I wanted to use more detail so it was more clear, I
made it short, so it fit in the two minute limit.
For my characters I decided to make them very
contrasting. The daughter was vibrant and the
mother was dull.

4. Research
I researched denotation and connotation in order to
do my full character representation. Also I
researched how to use the different equipment.
Furthermore I watched other videos in order to see
when the appropriate camera shots was used and
what for.

5. Equipment
We made a video identifying how to use the
tripod. Boom pole, camera and dolly. Which
came in handy when filming our final piece
because we weren't struggling with the
equipment.
During editing our individual versions of the
film we had to use final cut, which was difficult
for me to use at first but eventually I got the
hand of it. I would have preferred to do more
practice on final cut before doing my version of
the film.

6. This was the easy bit of setting us
the equipment, putting the battery
in. inserting the tap and turning it
on.

to only catch what was needed.
Boom Pole
Used the tripod to get a leveled
shot and medium, close up and
wide shots. Also the tripod allowed
us to make high angle shots.

7. Overall
I feel as if it was a bit unprepared when it came to
filming the film, because we didn't’t have much
time, so we kind of rushed the filming.
Also I I chose Sherae’s idea because it was similar
to mine, and also it had all the elements we needed.
If I needed to change anything, I would try and do a
more detail character description.
