The document discusses the pros and cons of metro rail systems compared to bus transport systems. It notes that metro systems are much more expensive to build, often costing hundreds of crores per kilometer compared to only 2-60 crores per kilometer for bus routes. Metros also take significantly longer to construct. The document further argues that metros in cities like Delhi and Kolkata have not effectively reduced traffic or pollution issues and questions whether the large investments and disruptions are worthwhile given that alternative bus systems could provide improvements more quickly at lower cost. It advocates for improving bus transport as a better option for Bangalore compared to the metro rail project.
The document discusses two options for addressing Bangalore's traffic problems: 1) increasing infrastructure to accommodate more vehicles or 2) reducing traffic by improving public transportation. It argues that option 1 will not work because doubling road widths every 5 years to match rising vehicle numbers would destroy homes and businesses. Air pollution and temperatures would also rise dramatically. Option 2 of improving public transportation could reduce vehicles to 1980 levels, cutting pollution by 88%, road space needs by 88%, and commute costs by 80% while doubling speeds. It cites Bogota, Colombia's example of restricting cars and investing in buses, bikes, and pedestrians to dramatically improve commute times and reduce pollution.

A review on techniques and modelling methodologies used for checking electrom...nooriasukmaningtyas
The proper function of the integrated circuit (IC) in an inhibiting electromagnetic environment has always been a serious concern throughout the decades of revolution in the world of electronics, from disjunct devices to today’s integrated circuit technology, where billions of transistors are combined on a single chip. The automotive industry and smart vehicles in particular, are confronting design issues such as being prone to electromagnetic interference (EMI). Electronic control devices calculate incorrect outputs because of EMI and sensors give misleading values which can prove fatal in case of automotives. In this paper, the authors have non exhaustively tried to review research work concerned with the investigation of EMI in ICs and prediction of this EMI using various modelling methodologies and measurement setups.

Understanding Inductive Bias in Machine LearningSUTEJAS
This presentation explores the concept of inductive bias in machine learning. It explains how algorithms come with built-in assumptions and preferences that guide the learning process. You'll learn about the different types of inductive bias and how they can impact the performance and generalizability of machine learning models.
The presentation also covers the positive and negative aspects of inductive bias, along with strategies for mitigating potential drawbacks. We'll explore examples of how bias manifests in algorithms like neural networks and decision trees.
By understanding inductive bias, you can gain valuable insights into how machine learning models work and make informed decisions when building and deploying them.
1. EV in South Sudan
The transportation means in South Sudan
is almost everywhere private. There is no
govt airlines, no railway lines, no govt bus
services and situation outside the capital
city Juba is still not viable for foreign
investment.
5. The economics
There is about 12 million people in this
country and almost everyone lives in the
capital city, Juba and vehicle taxes are
low, so people can buy cars, but can’t
repair as there are not many repair shops.
6. Rental transports
In the capital city Juba, the imported petrol
run Bajaj three wheelers are running with
rents from around 100 taka (1000 local
pounds) to 400 take depending on persons
and distance covered. Peculiar is, if one
person hires and three wheeler, the rent is
for one person and if three persons, the rent
is three times higher.
7. Garages could be solar
The electricity tariff is 75 taka per
kilowatt hours, about 10 times more
than what we pay in Bangladesh.
Therefore, the EV three wheeler’s
batteries must be liPo4 and the
charging infrastructure must be
solar electric, in order to remain
competitive.
8. Garage cost low
Fortunately, the labor cost and garage
cost could be low as there are plenty of
open spaces available where the investor
could set up a garage to run about 100
solar electric three wheelers to run for
the day.
9. Road conditions
The main roads are generally
paved, asphalt but the lanes inside
the residential areas are not
metalled, earth roads. There is
generally plain land all over the
city, with some areas having higher
than 30 degrees gradient.
10. The business model
1. The three wheelers must be brought
as CKD, to assemble locally.
Otherwise, 1800 kilometers road
distance from nearest port,
Mombasa, will be costly.
2. Three wheelers must be battery
electric, if possible with solar roofs.
3. The batteries must be LiPo4.
11. The revenue model
A battery three wheeler could carry 4-6
persons in each trip, the lowest cost
around 100 taka, about 400 taka each trip,
since there’s not much traffic congestion,
one such vehicle can potentially earn 5000
taka each day. It would definitely take a
very short time to recoup the return on
investment on such a project.
12. JV with Shamim Kamal Adds & More limited
Brig Gen Shamim Kamal (retd) is a former sector
commander with the UN in South Sudan. He
made significant progress with developing
bilateral relationship with South Sudan and
Bangladesh govt ministries. He aslo set up a chain
store, tailor shop, travel agency and also a
business consulting service in South Sudan, from
where a potential investor can come to Sout Sudan
13. continued
and continue either in a form of JV or taking the
consultancy services till such time the business makes a
few turnover of business operations
