This document discusses motorcycle safety in Malaysia and proposes exclusive motorcycle lanes as an effective approach. It notes that motorcycles make up around 50% of registered vehicles in Malaysia and are involved in nearly 50% of accidents. An exclusive 16km motorcycle lane was constructed in the 1970s, significantly reducing accidents by 39%. However, the lanes are sometimes too narrow, poorly maintained, and have dangerous corners. Improving and widening exclusive motorcycle lanes could further enhance safety.
