Koko opintojen ajan jatkuvalla portfoliotyöskentelyllä pyritään siihen, että valmistuneilla olisi mahdollisimman hyvä ammatillinen osaaminen, josta he osaisivat valmistumisvaiheessa kertoa työnantajille.

This document discusses theories of education and society. It defines society as the totality of social organization and relationships. Education is seen as a means of cultural transmission between generations. The document contrasts functionalist and conflict theories of education. Functionalists see consensus as the norm and education as encouraging social unity. Emile Durkheim viewed education as creating moral values and social cohesion. Conflict theorists like Karl Marx emphasize social struggle and the dominance of powerful groups over subordinate ones. Societies aim to develop education systems that meet the needs of their people.
Selection of content and organization of learning experienceszulfiqaralibehan
The document discusses seven criteria for selecting curriculum content and organizing learning experiences:
1. Self-sufficiency - Content should help learners attain maximum independence in learning efficiently with minimal teaching resources. This suggests including independent learning activities.
2. Significance - Content should develop skills and address cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains while considering learners' cultures.
3. Validity - Content should be up-to-date and not obsolete to ensure curriculum relevance.
4. Interest - Content should be meaningful and interesting to engage learners.
5. Utility - Content should be useful and applicable to learners' lives and careers.
6. Learnability - Content should build
Education plays a key role in social development by facilitating socialization and the transmission of social norms. It is considered both a basic human need and human right. While initiatives like Education for All have aimed to bring education to all, many challenges remain globally. Access to quality education remains unequal, especially for girls and those in poverty. Despite decades of efforts, millions of children remain out of school due to social, economic and physical barriers. Weak governance has been a root cause of the failure to fully achieve education goals. Education must empower individuals and societies to enact positive social change.
Abraham Maslow proposed the hierarchy of needs theory which states that people must satisfy basic physiological and safety needs before progressing on to meet higher level growth needs such as esteem, cognitive development, and self-actualization. Maslow's theory has influenced education by shifting the focus to meeting students' basic needs to help them progress in their learning. Albert Bandura developed social learning theory which explains how people learn through observing and modeling the behaviors of others within a social context. Bandura's theory emphasizes the importance of modeling behaviors and has implications for classroom practices such as using modeling to teach new behaviors and exposing students to diverse role models.

51 ways to introduce learning objectivesDavid Didau
The document provides 51 ways to introduce learning objectives to students in an engaging manner, such as through word games, images, movies, music, coding, translating objectives into other languages, and having students determine objectives through problem solving or at the end of a lesson. Some methods encourage guessing objectives or determining success criteria. A few suggestions note that explicitly stating objectives can sometimes limit learning.
The document discusses curriculum content and its elements. It defines curriculum as all learning planned by the school, whether individual or group activities inside or outside the school. Content is defined as information to be learned and can come in various forms like audio, text, or video. The document outlines criteria for selecting content, including significance, relevance to learners' lives, variety, suitability, validity, interest, utility, and feasibility. It emphasizes organizing content through sequencing, continuity, and integration to improve learning.

This document discusses the major foundations of curriculum, including philosophical, historical, psychological, and social foundations. Under the philosophical foundations, it describes four main educational philosophies: perennialism, essentialism, progressivism, and reconstructionism. It provides the aims, roles of education, and curriculum trends for each philosophy. The historical foundations section briefly introduces several influential curriculum theorists from 1876 to 1965 and notes their views on curriculum. The document aims to provide an overview of the key foundations that influence the development of curriculum.
This document discusses the major foundations of curriculum: philosophical, psychological, historical, and social. It provides examples of influential curriculum theorists like Franklin Bobbitt, Werret Charters, Harold Rugg, and William Kilpatrick who helped establish the historical foundations. The psychological foundations are based on behaviorist, cognitive, and humanistic learning theories. Finally, the social foundations recognize that schools exist within a social context and curriculum aims to understand globalization and changes in society.
Philosophy provides a framework for curriculum planning, implementation, and evaluation by helping answer questions about the purpose of schools, important subjects, how students should learn, and appropriate materials and methods. A curriculum developer's philosophy reflects their life experiences, beliefs, background, and education. For example, John Dewey viewed education as a way of life and laboratory for testing philosophy. Philosophies like idealism, realism, and existentialism provide different perspectives on the role of the teacher, student, and school community.
The document discusses different approaches to curriculum development in the Philippine context. It provides an overview of the history of curriculum development in the Philippines under different ruling powers from pre-Spanish times to the present Philippine Republic. It also outlines key factors to consider in curriculum development such as cultural values, knowledge of learners, teaching/learning theories, and content selection. Different theories and approaches to curriculum development are examined, including technical-scientific, behavioral, and humanistic approaches.

eTourism Curriculum
1. Tausta: Matkailun sähköisen liiketoiminnan (eTourism) osaaminen on yksi keskeisimmistä matkailuyritysten kilpailutekijöistä.
koulutusasteilla on keino vahvistaa osaamista yrityksissä. Koulutuksen kehittämisen kautta yritykset saavat osaavaa työvoimaa.
