This document discusses e-Therapy, or online occupational therapy, as an option for schools. Research shows that e-therapies can be as effective as in-person therapy. E-therapy allows schools to provide occupational therapy services to more students, including those in areas with provider shortages, at a lower cost by reducing travel expenses. The proposed model involves both virtual sessions delivered via videoconferencing as well as some in-person sessions for activities like assessments and equipment adjustments. Schools would need internet and videoconferencing capabilities to participate. Interested schools can contact the provider for more information.
