To fully grasp and understand the book of Joshua, it is important to take a look at the
historical and cultural context, understand the literary context, evaluate the text, and
find relevance in the passage.
The passage that will be focused on will be Joshua 10:16 27. This passage begins
with five Amorite Kings that are discovered and then trapped in a cave. The kings
hide in a cave in Makkedah. Joshua finds where the kings are hiding and then
proceeds to give instructions regarding what to do with the kings. They trap the kings
in the cave. Joshua proceeds to tell his troops to continue fighting. Joshua and the
Israelites defeat their enemies; there are few survivors left and the army returns to
their leader, Joshua. Joshua then uses the defeat of the five kings as an object
lesson for his commanders. They open the cave, in which the Kings are trapped in,
the kings are than named and brought out to Joshua. Joshua summons the men of
Israel and order to place their feet on the King s neck. The commanders do so and
Joshua tells his men, Do not be discouraged. Be strong and courageous. This is
what the LORD will do to all the enemies you are going to fight (verse 25). The
king s bodies are then exposed on poles and are left there until evening. At sunset
Joshua gave orders to take down the poles and throw them into the cave in which the
kings were hiding. They then placed large rocks in front of the cave to which are

The study has established that daily administration of T. vulgaris by the oral route
at a dose of 500 mg/kg for 10 days did not cause any mortality or any observable
toxic effects in mice of GII. Mice were alert with no alternation of their behavioral

histopathological observations, there were not any observable changes in the livers at

Macroscopically, the liver of T. gondii infected group showed a mild degree of
enlargement and focally extensive necrosis, however in T. vulgaris treated mice;
the livers appeared more or less healthy. Microscopically, the livers of T. gondii
infected mice (GIII) showed focal areas of necrosis with a mild degree of
inflammatory cellular infiltrate; mainly lymphocytes that were very obvious in the
portal area and Toxoplasma cysts were observed between the hepatocytes (Figure 2).
However, in the infected immunosuppressed group (GIV), the histopathological
features of liver progressed from moderate to severe, in which there was a
dissociation of hepatic cords pattern with generalized necrosis of the hepatocytes.
Also, there was marked dilatation and congestion of the hepatoportal blood vessels. It
was observed that some of Toxoplasma cysts ruptured, releasing tachyzoites to the
sinusoids and invading the other hepatocytes and kupffer cells. Also, there was kupffer

Because The Squire s Tale from Chaucer s The Canterbury Tales is incomplete, the
romantic idea of life and love are the prominent themes of the limited story. The
interruption of the tale leads more to assumptions than accurate analysis.
A Fantastical Tale
This story begins in a foreign location, introduces a mysterious guest, and describes
magical items. How does this not sound like the beginning of a fantasy story along
the lines of Lord of the Rings? Instead, it is the imaginative tale of the Squire from
Chaucer s The Canterbury Tales. The Squire is a young man who is an apprentice to
his father, a knight. His fantastical tale is set in the land of Tartary and is filled with
hope. His tale begins as an optimistic story about love.
The Squire never finishes his story. He is interrupted by another member of the
travelling group and is not given an opportunity to return to it. The Squire receives

He provides this romantic backdrop to tell his tale about love. Unfortunately, the
theme of love only develops between the female falcon and Canace. Had the Squire
been permitted to continue his story, he would have added to his tale and allowed
for further development of this theme. He does note that the remainder of his story
would have explained how the children of the king could have found the loves of
their lives.
As it remains a truncated story, what does the Squire tell about love? He notes that
despite our feelings of love, they may not be shared by our partner, as the female
falcon learns. It is a powerful feeling and can lead to deep emotional pain. Canace
shows that this pain does heal, and we are then able to go forth and experience it
again. It is a feeling that should be cherished and nurtured, despite there being no
assurances that it will last

I researched a John Deere. A John Deere helps farmers to plow up the land easier
than doing it by hand or horses. John Deere tractors can help with just about
anything on the farm, such as planting,harvesting, and mowing. It s not as back
breaking as it would be by doing it by hand. John Deere has technology that can help
plowing be more efficient and straighter rows then doing it with animals are yourself.
The plow was invented in 1837 by John Deere. He knew how excruciating the pain
was by doing it by hand and the toll it took on the animals. So one day he envisioned
the soil sliding easier and more efficient. So he took one of his broken steel saw
blades and started making the first plow invented.
In 1837 the first plow was made by John Deere it was pulled by animals. In 1892 in
Northeast Iowa, John Froelich invented the first ever gas powered tractor. It was the
first tractor that could backup and go forward. He used this tractor to separate the
wheat from the plant easier then by hand.

This overview is designed to help launch a Council small group discussion about
journals, and about strategic issues the Association may wish to address. The memo
notes salient issues the Association is or will soon face. The themes included here
are surely not complete and the goal is for a discussion that helps ferret out or
sharpen heretofore unarticulated issues as well as the ones we see now.
I.Introduction
APSA Organized Sections have been a mainstay of the Associationsince first formed
in the early 1980 s. There has not been a comprehensive review of Sections and the
ways in which the prominence of Sections has shaped the Association since then, ...
This increases the total cost of APSA membership commensurately, especially
consequential if a member seeks to join multiple sections. We worry this may
discourage multiple section membership, diminish opportunity for cross fertilization
among fields; and create sticker shock for APSA membership in general.
At the same time, there may be potential value for the Association of being aligned
with a bundle of journal content organized across topical areas a kind of journal based
analogue to the annual meeting division structure.
As a specific matter, APSA has the opportunity help the State Politics and Policy
Organized Section purchase its journal from the university press that now owns it, by
lending the Section money with payback revenues over 10 years. Assuming the
business deal made sense, would such a step make sense from the standpoint of an
Association wide journals policy.
APSA might seek to bring Section journals more under the Association umbrella itself
and applying journal guidelines, unbundling subscriptions from Section membership
(while leaving editorial control with the Sections.)
C.Governance and Liabilities
APSA s Organized Sections operate under the Association s Tax ID number, and
legally are elements of APSA as a corporation. A few APSA sections engage in
outside activities such as separate conferences. Generally, these are handled entirely
by section members

I never really liked the town. All I saw was store after store and never really
appreciated the small things. All cared about was looking for what could I do with
my friends. I was a spoiled brat with no sense of the outside world. My friends and I
