We aim to use photography to describe and explore how representing Kingston university, what we
like about Kingston University, any improvements that can be made and other issues that came up.
We created this research project to understand a visual research method that allows an
understanding of how students behave and assign a meaning to the campus environment. We use
photos as it was easy to view and most of the students had a smartphone that is capable of taking
photos. Also using photos can have different interpretations depending on the viewer which may

magazine limit? Though the questions are simple, the answer is a tough one when mass
shootings are taking place, by irresponsible citizens. In American, a large group of people hunt.
Obviously, it is much easier to hunt with a riffle then a bow and arrow, and taking away guns
would severely limit hunting. Animals would be harder to kill, and when an animal was killed
by an inexperienced hunter with a bow, it would have a longer death than if a rifle was
available. Of course, the argument that meat can be bought at a store and that there is no need
for hunting is reasonable but not in alignment with our beliefs as American. We believe in
freedom and liberty, and if someone wants to hunt for their meat then let them. As Americans we
do not want a country dependent on businesses to provide everything we need because we would
be helpless if ever they withdrew their support. More than that, it has been proven that if people
do not hunt animals such as deer, elk, etc. the animals will over populate and destroy forests and
land along with killing themselves off. Guns are needed for hunting. There are laws passed
regulating the ownership and use of firearms, and more legislation is being considered. Most of
these laws restrict, to some degree, the rights of individuals to possess or use firearms. Some
restrictions may be necessary, but, responsible citizens benefit with the right to own firearms.
Attempts to keep firearms away from these citizens do more harm than good.
To begin with, what is a responsible citizen. A good definition of a responsible citizen is a law

Differences Between The Bodhisattva In The Davis Museum
Another more obvious difference between the Bodhisattva in the Davis Museum is the coloring of
each. Unfortunately, time has worn away most of the paint on these heads, but the left Bodhisattva
shows more remnants of the original painting, including a small wavy mustache. Red paint can
still be seen in the headdress, the urna and the lines of the neck. Both heads have dark paint
outlining the eyebrows and the eyes, offering the viewer a look into Gandharan culture. One can
see the hair was once painted black based on the left Bodhisattvas hair which still contains some of
the dark pigment. While most of the paint has worn away, the naturalistic sculpting style allows
the life of the Bodhisattvas to remain intact without the added color. The sculptures appear
dynamic due to the use of lines and shadows in order to further one s sense of naturalism. The eye
sockets are set deep into each head which causes a shadow to fall over the eyes due to the brow...

was allowed to influence each other. This is visibly illustrated by the Davis Museum placing the
Gandharan heads between the South Asian and Mediterranean exhibits, symbolizing the mixing of
the various art forms. While the informational cards about the Bodhisattvas are helpful tools, they
must be taken with a grain of salt. Whatever is printed on the informational cards must be
questioned and analyzed instead of believed to be the truth. The museum controls the informational
cards and thus, controls the narrative that the audience will learn about each piece. Nonetheless, it
is critical to be curious about the circumstances surrounding museums and their collections so in the
future, such questionable practices won t be tolerated and important cultural pieces will no longer
be taken from their origin

Characteristics Of Femme Fatale
Visually, film noirs are often dark and expressive to mimic the moral ambiguity in which the
characters find themselves (Fluck 385). This visual darkness is portrayed using low key lighting
and the number of scenes that take place in low lit interiors or exteriors at night. The tone is set
through visuals, immediately, as under the opening credits the audience sees the silhouette of a
man on crutches, approaching the camera, moving slowly. The feeling of helplessness and
despair is portrayed. This is contrasted with the speeding car seen in the next scene, giving a sense
of urgency. Once in the office when Neff is about to begin recording his story, the only light is that
from a lamp that we see him turn on. The use of lighting through Venetian blinds is another
common noir characteristic that is present throughout the film. In Phyllis s house, the voice over
specifically mentions the blinds and the shadows from them are very prominent in other scenes,
especially in Keyes s office and during Neff and Phyllis s first kiss.
One of the main characteristics of film noir is the femme fatale. Within noir, the femme fatale
largely abjures traditional romance and passive domesticity, choosing instead to apply her
sexuality to homicidal plots in the service of greed (Boozer 20). Phyllis is the ultimate femme

boy who has recently lost his mother. The reader is able to infer the situation from the passage
despite it not being clearly mentioned. The reader infers that the passage is about a juvenile boy
who sits beside his dying mother and is then taken care of by family friends, predominantly the
Chins. The reader is able to assume that the mother of the child has died, by the mention of how
my [his] mommy s voice... would never say again. This along with the hullabaloo and a sense of
emergency projected in the first paragraph indicate that the mother is no more. The rigid arms
suggest that the mother s arms are dead. The cacophony of the word rigid creates a sense of
chaos for the readers. The passage is written in first person narrative, providing the reader with
meaningful insights from the boy who has lost his mother. The author makes use of varying
sentence styles. Simple sentences are used to merely narrate the event Mr. Chin was shouting
instructions. Mrs. Chin called my name. These simple sentences help maintain a slow pace of the
text, and create a dull tone to commemorate the death. Some sentences like the ones in Lines 3 5
are fragmented, revealing the incident one step at a time. Choy makes use of various symbols and
