President Obama s Final State Of The Union Speech
Travon Felton
In January 12, 2016, President Obama has given his final State of the Union Speech. In his speech,
Mr. Obama addressed one of the major concerns that is happening in America today. One of the key
terms that he addressed is the Changing Economy and how it is growing and he talks about the
concerning terrorist threats from the Islamic States by mentioning about the United States effort to
prevent global terrorism with this powerful speech: When you come after Americans, we go
after you, It may take time, but we have long memories, and our reach has no limit. (President
Obama addresses threats from the Islamic State, NY Times) Mr. Obama also mentions the issue
about climate change and how over the years the weather has gotten even hotter and stated how
developing clean energy sources is very important. Mr. Obama also address American Innovation
by saying Our unique strengths as a nation our optimism and work ethic, our spirit of discovery
and innovation, our diversity and commitment to the rule of law these things give us everything
we need to ensure prosperity and security for generations to come In fact, it s that spirit that made
the progress of these past seven years possible. it s how we recovered from the worst economic
crisis in generations (Obama on American Innovation, NY Times) Obama also calls on congress to

Teacher Tenure Essay

Teacher Tenure
Today, there seems to be a push to change the policy of teacher tenure. Roughly 2.3 million public
school teachers in the United States have tenure a perk reserved for the noblest of professions
(professors and judges also enjoy such rights). (Stephey) Tenure refers to a policy which gives
teachers a permanent contract that effectively ensuring them a guarantee of employment for life.
Stephey continues to state, Though tenure doesn t guarantee lifetime employment, it does make
firing teachers a difficult and costly process, one that involves the union, the school board, the
principal, the judicial system and thousands of dollars in legal fees. ... Show more content on

When one is a teacher they know that they need to teach the material that is needed for students
succeed and excel during testing. Teachers should have no fear in being dismissed if they are
doing the job that they were hired for. In the other hand, if one is not doing their job teaching
then that is simply one owns fault when getting fired. There are many workers who work hard to
get what they deserve such as high pay and benefits. Then why do are there laws which protects
teacher s jobs only? In school districts across America there are stories as found in an article
from Meghan Mathis as she writes, New York faced intense scrutiny and criticism in 2009 when
it came to light it had been paying full salaries to nearly 700 tenured teachers who had been
accused of poor performance or wrongdoing. These teachers were paid not to teach, but rather to
sit in a guarded room from start to finish of each day. How is the government benefitting our
society by using tax payer s dollars to pay for teachers to idly sit in a room when these dollars could
be used to introduce new programs into the classroom or better yet a teacher willing to do the job?
Why are tax payer s dollars wasted by spending this money on terminating teachers? Writing in
Time, Stephey states that Some school districts have resorted to separation

James Bulger Case Summary
In the James Bulger case many witnesses were reluctant to speak up until after the child was
found dead. According to The Sun (2018), The killers walked James for two and half miles and
were spotted by 38 people some of whom challenged the pair. These ten year old boys were
claiming James as their little brother or James was lost and they were trying to help him find his
mum when questions came about. According to The Sun (2018), The pair took James to a
railway line and tortured, beat and sexually assaulted him. They poured modelling paint into his
eyes, stoned him and clubbed him with bricks, before leaving him on the railway line to be hit by
a train. After killing the tot they left his body near the tracks where it was discovered two days
later. With all the information the boys presented, who would have believed there true intentions

You would be surprised as to how many family abductions take place in a year. The reasons
including: Punishing the other parent, forcing continued interactions with missing parents, or
from fear of losing rights or custody of the child. The rarest case would be the abduction of a
child to protect them from the neglector or abuser. When the parent is not considered a suspect,
the investigation becomes fair play as to who can be the potential suspect at this point anyone
can be a suspect. As for the parent, their emotional well being is completely gone! Parents tend
to blame themselves for the abduction of their child. In many cases parents tend to split due to
the massive pain that is left behind. According to The Sun(2018), In January 2018 Denise Fergus

How Requirement Engineering And The Saudi Software Firms...
This chapter is the first of the two chapters that present empirical findings of the research. The aim
of this chapter is to describe how requirement engineering is performed in the Saudi software firms.
This section is divided into three sections. First, I report participant demographics following the
thematic process used to identify the themes. Last, I report the RE process and technique presented
in study participants answer.
======
The final sample for this study included eight participants in total. Five software professions
represented five different software organisations inSaudi Arabian, one senior academy and one
lecturer in public Saudi University represented the educational technology perspective. All
participants were male aged between 37 to 50 and no female were interviewed. Six participants
worked as system analysts during their career. Participants worked in a broad range of positions
within the organisation; the lowest has three years experience, and the height has ten years
experience. All earned university degrees. Four are Saudi Arabian and four not Saudi citizen but
all practices Islam as a religion. The interviews were held between June 2016 and July 2016 in
Saudi Arabia. The interviews were followed up by e mail correspondence for data validation and in
depth clarification. However, two senior academics expressed the intention to participate in the
study, but we could not arrange the meeting because they were on vacation (Eid al Fitr religious

St. Thomas Aquinas s An Unjust Law
St. Thomas Aquinas argues that an an unjust law is no law at all. (Aquinas in Dimock, ed., 2002,
p.19) However, Aquinas also acknowledges that a human lawgiver may promulgate a command
that has the form of law, and is enforced like a law, yet is unjust. This observation leads to the
realization that these are two inconsistent claims. Yet Aquinas believes that these inconstancies can
be reconciled. In Aquinas view an unjust law is not a law but yet is also able to be issued as law
and imposed as law. Throughout the course of this essay, I will first define what Aquinas means by
incorporating the claim that an unjust law is no law at all . This will include defining important
terms that will correspond with evaluating Aquinas claim.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

It is imperative to understand Aquinas definition of just and unjust laws. Through defining these
terms, we will be able to understand Aquinas claim. A law that is just has the power of binding
in conscience (Aquinas in Dimock, ed., 2002, p.20). It is derived from eternal law and therefore
inherently morally correct. An unjust law lacks this integral quality. Aquinas is willing to say
that an unjust law is a so called law, but a just law is a law proper in its entirety. A law is said to
be just when it is ordained for the common good, does not exceed the power of the lawgiver and
any burdens put on the subjects are done proportionally and equally and aim for the common
good (Aquinas in Dimock, ed., 2002, p.20). In comparison an unjust law can be contrary to the
human good and additionally opposing to the divine good. A law can conflict with the human
good in one of three ways; either through its end, author or its form. A lawmaker issues an unjust
law according to its end when he imposes on his subjects burdensome laws, conducive not to the
common good, but rather to his own cupidity or vainglory (Aquinas in Dimock, ed., 2002, p.20).
If a lawmaker imposes a law that favors the leader but at the same time imposes unfair burdens
on the whole of society, it can be assumed that he is working for his glory and selfish desires.
Secondly, a law according to its form would be

Formal Screening Analysis
American Academy of Pediatrics AAP (2012) suggests regular, universal developmental
screenings of infants and toddlers by pediatric healthcare providers at 9, 18 and 30 months of age.
According to them, these are just standardized screenings that only takes about 15 20 minutes to
complete and to see the overall of a childs development. It is important to observe an individual
during an early age.
The first reason is that it guides a parent or a guardian to identify areas of concern about a specific
area of development, such as gross and fine motor skills, communication and language, cognitive
skills, etc. These milestones can be observed by the child s pediatrician

The Human Dimension Of The Army
The Human Dimension is a concept that the Army has been looking into over the past years as the
dynamics have changed. Soldiers and DOD Civilians make up today s fighting force. As such, it is
important to look at the whole person. The purpose of the whole person concept is to notice how
our cognitive, physical, social and spiritual attributes not only effect the Army, but how it will shape
the future of our fighting forces.
Cognitive

methods or at the same rate as their counterpart. It is readily believed that the most common way of

The Species Corvus Corax
The species Corvus corax is well known and recognized as one of the smartest animals in the
world. Many studies have been conducted in investigating sophistication of its cognitive processes
in recent years. A good number of them support this withstanding belief of high intelligence. Others
reveal gaps in factors of their intelligence that were not previously presumed.. Pfuhl (2012), Schied
Bugnyar (2008) and Boeckle Bugnayr (2012) studies show very proficient spatial reasoningand
memoryin ravens. On the contrary, other studies like Scholegl et al. (2008) and Albiach Serrano et

other cognitively gifted animals. Although even with... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In the recent decades, this theory of high intelligence has gone under much research and
experimentation to intent to establish the extent of corvid cognition. Multiple studies have been
conductive on Corvus corax examining its cognitive abilities. They have related these abilities to
the species phenology and evolution along with other cognitively gifted animals, such as apes (van
Horik et al. 2012). While the belief of high intelligence remains relatively true for certain cognitive
aspects such as spatial reasoning and memory, these corvids prove less competent in the areas like
contextual understanding and problem solving with patterns.

Well Developed Cognitive Processes Reasoning. Spatial reasoning plays into the concept of
intelligence and it aids to the survival of organisms. It is useful to know one s orientation in the
world and being able to draw inferences from another object s or organisms orientation. In a
2012 study conducted by Gerit Pfuhl, ravens were tested in their spatial and causal reasoning
based on pulling a set of strings. The major factor of this was which of the strings they decided to
pull. The procedure was to attach meat and/or a weighted object (i.e., a small block of wood) to
strings, alternating the position of the food and wood in the string and putting the strings at a
certain height. The strings were the hung from a special

How Did Hernan Cortes Influence The Progress Of Aztec Empire
MANPREET KAUR STUDENT ID: 100294247 HERNAN CORTES AND THE CONQUEST
OF AZTEC EMPIRE To begin with, the turning point in Aztec empire was the time when
Spanish conquistadors entered into the empire in 1519, with their chief general, Hernan Cortes.
He is well known for conquering the Aztec empire and also for being the first governor of
Mexico. This led to complete transformation of Mexico to new world forming new lifestyle for
the native people. This essay would talk about Hernan Cortes s life and achievements, his
intentions behind his every step, in my opinion, and according to some sources. Before anything
else, let s talk about his nature. From where I am sitting, Cortes was ambitious, greedy and
determined. This nature of Cortes is very evident from the incident of his notorious behaviour of
trying to escape from married woman due to which he got injured. Some years passed but his
over ambitious nature did not change. When he came to Cuba, as a young soldier, he was very
eager to explore the strange world around him because as he knew that the land surrounding the
Cuba was full of treasures. On the coincide, he developed a very good relationship with the
Cuban governor [Velazquez Diego], who trusted him and promoted him from soldier to clerk. He
belonged to a rich family but he always had a mindset to get some more, in other words, he was
very greedy in terms of wealth. In my opinion, he always had a goal to capture the other

Mr Nobody Determinism
Free will and determinism are major themes in Mr. Nobody. Both of these themes are shown
through postmodern characteristics and techniques. Free will is the power of humans to make
choices that are not determined by prior causes or by divine intervention. Determinism is a theory
or doctrine that acts of the will , occurrences in nature, or social or psychological phenomena are
causally determined by preceding events or natural laws. Free willis present in the film. This can be
interpreted through the young Nemo when he tries to choose the best choice; stay with his father or
go with his mother. Likewise, determinismis seen throughout the film. Determinism can be seen
when Nemo can read the future. This shows how free will and determinism... Show more content on

A movement away from the apparent objectivity provided helps reveal the themes of free will
and determinism. Apparent objectivity is a clear bias with no room for interpretation. With less
use of apparent objectivity, there is more underlying bias opinion. Nemo is an omniscient
narrator in the film because he has access to all future events that are to occur in the film. This
can relate to free will and determinism for the following reasons. Since Nemo can predict the
future he has the choice of choosing. This shows Nemo s character as one who cannot make a
choice because of all the possible outcomes. This hinders his ability of free will because all
possible outcomes are set in stone and there is nothing he can do to change it. As Nemo says, As
long as you don t choose, everything remains possible . What this quote could mean is that there is
that the possibilities are endless and there is nothing someone can do to stop them from doing it.
This relates well with the movement away from apparent objectivity because whatever choice
someone makes, there is more interpretation with whatever choice they make. This is evident
throughout the film when it shows different shots of Nemo in his alternate lives. It shows the
different angles of his other lives by portraying that

ANALOGICAL NORMATIVE ARGUMENTS Normative Arguments
Analogies are often used in normative arguments, where the conclusion is a normative statement
that something should (or should not) be done, should (or should not) be legal, or that something is
good (or bad) or right (or wrong). Normative statements are often understood as statements about
what is morally or ethically right or wrong.
To support a normative conclusion, an argument must have at least one normative premise. A
normative feature such as is morally wrong or should be done can t just appear out of nowhere in
the conclusion it must first appear in a premise. An analogical argument with a normative gives us
just what we need to follow this rule: a normative premise to support the normative conclusion.

Communism has now been introduced to Asia. In this period, after World War II, Communism was
a popular ideology being introduced throughout the world. Vietnam was one of the many countries
under the threat of Communism. At this time, Vietnam was a French Colony. As time went on

br Dwight Eisenhower, the President of the United States after Truman, wanted to support the
South Vietnamese. At a news conference, Eisenhower stated, You have a row of dominoes set up,
you knock over the first one, and what will happen to the last one is a certainty that it will go over
very quickly. Eisenhower believed that if the United States didn t step to the aid of the South
Vietnamese, they would fall to the Communist aggressions, as would the rest of Southeast Asia.
President Eisenhower and his staff then started to set up a plan for the support of Vietnam.
Eisenhower s secretary of State, John Dulles, was determined that the American s could build up

Motor learning, particularly in the early stages of learning a skill, involves attempts by learners to
acquire an idea of the movement, (Gentile, 1972) or understand the basic pattern of coordination
(Newell, 1985). To achieve these goals, learners must acknowledge; the way their muscles work

3.0 Information Processing Theory
There are many different models that define the Information Processing Theory, all of which
describe how we think critically. Welford s model (Welford, 1968) suggests that we take in
information through our senses and temporarily store all of these inputs prior to sorting them out.
(Figure 1) A decision is made by comparing the information in the short term memory with previous
experiences stored in the long term memory. The first stage in the information processing model is
called stimulus identification (see figure 1). The person starts off by detecting the stimulus, such as
seeing the basketball approach them from a chest pass. The next stage is the initiation of their
response. The action of catching the ball and deciding what to do from their current position comes
into play in this section of the model. If the action of a lay up is chosen, they will then complete the
movement and organise the

Using Furniture Or Adult For Support
By one year old they are beginning to crawl or shuffle, pulling or pushing on furniture to stand
and then cruise using furniture or adult for support. Sitting has progressed to unaided and they
are rolling from their front to their back. They are beginning to be inquisitive with objects,
passing them between hands, handling them in different ways and looking for things that are
hiding. Their hand to eye co ordination improves as items are passed from hand to hand. Their
first teeth may start to appear and solid foods may start to be introduced. Between one and two
years walking will begin and toys will start to be pulled/pushed along whilst walking. Objects
will be picked up and banged together or built to make a small tower. A preference for one hand
may start to appear as they begin to hold crayons etc when mark making on paper. They enjoy
trying to feed themselves both with finger foods and with a spoon, and will drink from a cup with
both hands. Waving goodbye becomes fun, they will begin to point to what they want and shake
their head to mean †̃noâ€TM. At 4 years boys gross motor skills tend to be more
developed when it comes to throwing and aiming, building, climbing, pedalling etc, whereas
girls fine motor skills tend to be more developed with the use of scissors, holding a pencil to draw
and colour threading small beads sewing stitches etc. At 5 years children will have more pencil
control and will begin to copy letters and shapes, and draw people. Ball games

Reflection And Discussion On Absorption Spectra
3. Results and Discussion
3.1. Absorption spectra study of 5 aminopyridine Schiff base (L1 and L2):
The absorption spectrum of probes L1 and L2 (40 ОјM) were investigated in the presence of metals
ions in DMSO solvent. As shown in Fig. 1, Schiff base L1 exhibited absorption band at 269 nm,
310 nm, 323 nm and 347 nm; and L2 at 264 nm, 319 nm, 341 nm, 439 nm and 462 nm, that may be
attributed to ПЂ ПЂ* charge transfer transition. However, no remarkable changes were observed in
absorption spectra after the addition of 1 equivalent various metal ions such as Ag(I), K(I), Li(I)
Na(I), Co(II), Cu(II), Cd(II), Pb(II), Mg(II), Hg(II), Mn(II), Al(III), Cr(III), Gd(III) and Nd(III)
ions. Interestingly upon the addition of zinc and nickel ions to the probe L1 absorbance peak shifted
to higher wavelength (red shift) from 347 nm to 413 nm and 410 nm, respectively. Thus, L1 Zn(II)
and L1+Ni(II) complexes exhibited color change from colorless to intense yellow color. Similarly,
the addition of Fe(III) and UO2(II) to the probe L2, absorbance peak lead to decrease at 439/462
nm while new peak appear at 355 nm and 366/ 515 nm, respectively. Consequently, the absorbance
peaks of L2 Fe(III) complexes shifted to UV region, thus light yellow color turned to colorless, and
in case of L2 UO2(II) complex absorbance peak showed red shift effect, that resulted in dark yellow
color (Fig. 2a and b). Thus, absorption spectral changes were enabled to detect Ni(II), Zn(II),
Fe(III) and UO2(II) as a naked eye

Isis s Impact On The United States Of America
Ben Rodkey Glaser English 10 3 4 15 ISIS ISIS has been a rapidly increasing threat to not just
the United States of America, but the entire world. ISIS has done countless brutal, sick, heart
wrenching things that have caused a national and international uproar in the citizens of
numerous countries. ISIS considers them the Islamic State, and they seem to have many
motives. They basically want a large portion of the Middle east under ISIS control and for the
rest of the world to accept their disgusting traditions as they claim they are doing, This threat has
done some very unspeakable things; the problem needs to be solved. Considering the view the
United State holds right now, there are a few actions that can be taken to reduce this threat that
ISIS presents. ISIS has rapidly become an enormous problem for most of, if not all of the world.
There are some very simple and some very complicated ways to solves this problem. The most
efficient way is to simple go to war with ISIS and physically, mentally and emotionally destroy
everything and everyone that is supporting this cause, another way is to give them what they desire
to have, finally the last option is just completely ignore the foreign issue until it presents itself on
U.S. soil. After an online video emerged on Tuesday, January 21st, 2015, showing ISIS threatening
to kill two Japanese hostages, relatively little was known about the relationship between the two
prisoners. But Reuters News revealed later that next day

Integration Is A Dynamic Process
Integration is a dynamic process, driven by a variety of forces and actors that, through their

key integration players such as Jean Monnet and Robert Schuman were vital to the blueprints of

Through the unification of two crucial manufacturing economic sectors, steel and coal, the
development of the European Coal and Steel Community (ECSC) was established. With hopes of

the forward march towards integrative and cooperative foundations through Europe s first
supranational institution. These six included Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, and
the Netherlands and they later signed the Treaty of Paris in 1951, as the U.K. notably remained on

Schuman s Plan established common interests between member states to set the stage for gradual

improvement in lowering the back pain on those who practice mindfulness based stress

cognitive behavioral therapy. Therefore, both variable positively correlate with lowering the
lower back pain. Further, the data collected for this study was based on an experiment. In other
words, in order to prove that the explanatory variables, in this case, mindfulness based stress
reduction and cognitive behavioral therapy, have an effect on the response variable, which is the
reduction of lower back pain, is necessary to put the cases on different treatments to obtain the

The Positive Impacts Of Turning Points
Can turning points in a single person s life change a whole society? A turning point can be
described as a life changing event that teaches someone about themselves or the world around
them. People who endure a life changing event can respond positively or negatively. In the
autobiography, I Never Had It Made by Jackie Robinson, the memoir, Warriors Don t Cry by
Melba Pattillo Beals, and the article, The Father of Chinese Aviation, by Rebecca Maksel, each of
the individuals faced turning points. The individuals of each story overcame a big obstacle that not
only changed their life, but also made a positive impact on the history of their country.
Jackie Robinson was chosen to integrate into Major League Baseball during a time in history when
blacks were not a part of the major leagues. On his path to becoming the first black player in the
major leagues, he had to endure many challenges, such as, racism expressed as insults, physical
harm and pressure from his teammates, other baseball owners, and fans. In paragraph three of the
text, Robinson states, Some of my own teammates refused to accept me because I was black. This
quote shows that Robinson had to deal with racial tensions because his skin was black. He was
often separated from the rest of his teammates, and was rejected by them because of his skin color.
Despite the racism he faced, he grew and developed through the support, encouragement, and love
shown to him by his supporters the children and black fans.

Essay On The Protest Movement
The groups who fought the early battle for recognition and treatment of AIDS formed a protest
movement similar to those involved in the fight for women s suffrage, and for civil rights. The
consensus of authors like Herbert Spires and Mirko Grmek is that a strong, organized civil
disobedience protest movement was necessary to combat the general apathy towards AIDSfrom
both the government and from the medical community. However, there was some disagreement
about this civil disobediencefrom people like John W Toomey. Additionally, the protest
movement
itself was divided into two factions, gay men on one side, and women and minorities on the other.
Each had disparate experiences with that AIDS community, and each disagreed on the focus of the
movement. In the end, both factions utilization of mainstream protest methods, along with civil
disobedience, had a major effect on AIDS research and lead to life saving changes in the treatment
of individuals living with AIDS.
In July of 1981, a rare form of cancer was killing gay men in New York and California. This new,
deadly homosexual disease would come to be known as AIDS, Acquired Immune Deficiency
Syndrome. In the decade or so that followed, as it became clear that this was not merely gay
disease, but a disease that affected, women, hemophiliacs and children, the government reacted with
indifference. This led those affected to fight for recognition and for treatment options.
When the AIDS epidemic started in the early

The Advantages Of Distance Education Vs. Traditional...
Distance education is a unique type of education that is available online. Lessons are given, along
with assignments; assignments are then completed and submitted through the internet. This type of
education is an alternative to traditional education. It is not for everyone; however, it has become
popular among people who work or stay at home. While distance educationhas its defects overall, it
s a great way to start or finish post secondary education. Nevertheless, distance education can help
people who decide to take this step. One of the advantages of distance education is its
convenience; imagine getting a college education without having to move to another city or state.
With online education, you can benefit from that and many other things. Online education is a
great way to get educated if one is unable or not ready to move. I am benefiting from this
convenient way of learning, and so far, it s been great. Besides its convenience, distance
education also has a better price. The cost of distance education is lower than traditional
education. Tuition itself can result up to four hundred dollars cheaper online than on a campus.
While four hundred dollars may not seem like a big difference after a while, four hundred dollars
can accumulate into a lot of money. Apart from tuition one can also save on other things like
gasoline and parking fees. Since the educating is taking place online, the only thing needed is
internet; there is no need to buy gasoline since one

institutional issues. Below we will look at how the ToL has reformed the European Union (EU).
The changes introduced by the ToL lie predominantly in the areas of constitutional and institutional
reform. However, institutional change is the key driver behind the ToL. We will look at how the
ToL has brought about these changes.
Initially the ToL was named the Reform Treaty however as Portugal held presidency at the time

and which characterised the EC was abolished by the ToL. The three pillars together constituted

its own legal personality. This will allow the EU to act more effectively, coherently and credibly in

The institutional framework of the EU has been significantly altered. The need for transparency,

The Disaster Of Nuclear Generating Station Essay
Abstract:
In the early morning hours of 28th March 1979, the worst disaster in the history of nuclear
energy production in the US took place. Unit Two of the Three Mile Island had a meltdown
releasing some amount of radioactivity into the surrounding area. The meltdown led to the
possibility of Unit 2 of the reactor facility to explode. The ramifications of the accident revealed
the conceptual difficulties of assessing social risks and the political difficulties in managing them
(Nelkin, March 1981).This paper aims at describing the accident, the post accident setup and clean
up and the various losses which have been attributed to the disaster. It also intends to develop an
understanding of the various complex issues and social vulnerabilities and risks that caused the
disaster. The paper raises a very important question about the safety of the nuclear power plants in
the world and the risk the reactors pose to the people and environment as a whole.
Introduction:
The Three Mile Island Nuclear Generating Station (TMI) is located in the Susquehanna River
flowing in the south of Harrisburg Town in the state of Pennsylvania, U.S. The generating station
comprises of two generating units TMI 1 and TMI 2. TMI 1 has a generating capacity of 852

Summary Of The Middle Class In Madame Bovary
The middle class in France during the early 1800s, otherwise known as the Bourgeoisie, was
defined by capitalistic views and business minded outlooks. However, many people of this era,
including author Gustave Flaubert, were highly critical of this middle class. In Flaubert s novel
Madame Bovary, the character Homais represents the ideas and spirit of the Bourgeoisie. Because
of his dissatisfaction with the middle class, the author gives Homais several negative character
traits, such as selfishness, cowardice, and hypocrisy. Flaubert s criticism of the egotistical and
corrupt nature of Homais is evident during the procedure on Hippolyte and the argument between
Homais and the priest; Homais triumph at the end of the novelsuggests that Flaubert is also critical
of the outcome of the pharmacist s actions, not just the actions themselves.
Flaubert establishes Homais cowardice when he refuses to take responsibility for the failed
operation on Hippolyte. Charles originally does not want to take part in this procedure, but
Homais urges him to do so. After the operation is deemed a failure, Monsieur Canivet criticizes
Charles to Homais when he says, But some doctors want to be smart, so they use all sorts of
remedies on their patients without worrying about the consequences... and, ...we wouldn t dream
of operating on someone who s in perfect health! (Flaubert 157). Even though Homais knows that
he pressured Charles into performing this operation, he does not say anything to Canivet that
expresses his partial responsibility. Flaubert writes, He therefore did not defend Bovary or make
any comment at all; abandoning his principles, he sacrificed his pride to the more serious interests
of his business (157). Therefore, Flaubert criticizes the spineless nature of Homais by emphasizing
his lack of response to Canivet s insults. The author reveals Homais character trait of
irresponsibility in this scene, suggesting that Flaubert views the Bourgeoisie as cowardly. Homais
and the middle class, in the mind of Flaubert, are too craven to be held accountable for any action
that would hurt their reputations.
In addition to demonstrating Homais cowardly nature, the operation scene also serves to reveal his

Taking a Look at Dandelions
Medicinal plants have been used since the early ages of humanity and many remedies are still used
today. Among these many plant medicines is the dandelion, whose variety of uses makes it one of
the more popular medicines. Dandelions were often used by Egyptians, Greeks, and Romans, and
have been used in Chinese medicinefor over a thousand years. They came to America on the
Mayflower, brought for their medicinal benefits. Before the inventions of the lawn, dandelions
were praised as a bounty of food, medicine, and magic (Sanchez 2007).
Dandelions grow anywhere that has an abundance of sunlight, such as lawns, sidewalks, and
roads, and are difficult to get rid of because of their long roots. Against many gardener s
judgement, growing dandelions in a garden can be beneficial (Sanchez 2007). Their roots loosen
the soil making it easier to grow plants and their leaves, flowers, and roots can be harvested to cure
a variety of illnesses. Dandelions grown as a crop should be spaced about a foot apart and kept
clean by hoeing. The tops should be cut off so the land will not be smothered by the weed when
the seeds appear.
Dandelions can be used as a stimulant to our bodies, but are used mainly for the urinary organs,
and also used to treat kidney and liver disorders. The leaves can be used as a general tonic and the
roots can be used for muscle pain. Dandelion greens are used as a diuretic and their effect can help

admiration for her and he even went as far as to make his final resting place right next to hers at
the Westwood Village Memorial Park. When asked how important it is to him to be laid to rest in
a vault next to the woman who helped his business take America by storm all Hefner had to say
on CBS2 was It certainly has a very kind of completion notion to it .
Conclusion
An idea at the time when the US was at war, Hef has said that the idea came from the war and
rightly so, during the war many magazines featuring beautiful women was a common thing, kind
of as an inspiration, to come home as heroes and have an entire country and that young lady
cheering for them. Hef had this idea which became a vision and later than a business plan,
officially in 1953 and has now come to be renowned worldwide, truly spectacular reputation be it
because of the amount of merchandise it that is sold, the clubs from all over the world and most
importantly the magazine which has been the best friend for over 60 years form many men. ... Show

Themes In Monica Hesse s Girl In The Blue Coat
In Monica Hesse s Girl in the Blue Coat, themes of World War 2 can be seen throughout the
Netherlands, where this story takes place. While this book is not written around a specific battle or
event of World War 2, it portrays events such as Jewish holding camps, German soldiers patrolling
within the Netherlands, and how the black market had an impact on the people in the war.
The main character, Hanneke, has multiple run ins with the German policemen within her town.
There were many different types of police patrolling Amsterdam around this time, two of the types
commonly seen being the Green Police and the Gestapo. The Gestapo known as the Geheime
Staatspolizei in German which means Secret State Police, was the official police of Nazi Germany

Netherlands, Belgium, and Luxembourg were titled the Low Countries because much of their land
surface was at or below sea level. Then, on May 15, 1940, the Dutch surrendered to Germany after
five days of fighting. Germany began to construct air force bases throughout their new found land
in the Netherlands to stage Luftwaffe, translating to air weapon, attacks on Britain. The Luftwaffe
was the German aerial warfare branch of the military forces during World War II; however, ten
percent of the Luftwaffe s strength was still used as ground units. Nazi philosophy viewed the
Dutch Christians as one of the Aryan races, a racial grouping for people of European and Western
Asian heritage, which qualified them to be Germanized while the Dutch Jews were subjected to the
same mistreatment as Jews in other nations occupied by Germany. The first deportation took place
in February of 1941 when a small group of Jews were sent to a Concentration Camp in Austria
called Mauthausen. The occupation administration s treatment toward the Dutch became more
strict in May of 1942 after realizing that most of the Dutch population

Going Clear Is Focused On The Church Of Scientology
The documentary Going Clear is focused on the Church of Scientology. Some of the important
figures in the documentary included Paul Haggis, Lawrence Wright, Sara Goldberg, Spanky Taylor,
and Marthy Rathbun (Going Clear). In this documentary, these former scientologists were
interviewed about their personal experiences, where they revealed information about what actually
happened behind the doors of the Church. The documentary was based on Lawrence Wright s
book, Going Clear: Scientology, Hollywood and the Prison of Belief and was a compilation of the
opinions of several former scientologists about the true colors of Scientology and Hubbard s history
(Going Clear). Additionally, these figures shared their beliefs and opinions about Scientology. In
this documentary, there are several effective persuasion techniques which all attempt to persuade
the audience against Scientology. In my paper, I will be discussing these persuasion techniques and
showing the different ways each former scientologist impacts the audience through their stories.
One of the most prominent figures in this documentary was Paul Haggis. Paul is a writer and
filmmaker whose former membership with the Church gives him distinct credibility (Science of
Persuasion YouTube Video). His experiences grab the audience s attention, seeing as he was a
scientologist for three years. Paul spoke out about his experiences with Scientology, calling it a cult
and mentioning many disturbing aspects about the church

The Impacts of Tourism on the Local Community in Tung Chung
Intro
Tung Chung is an area which is located on the Lantau Island. Right after the opening of the Hong
Kong International Airport in 1998, it was developed as part of the Airport Core Programme. The
government decided to make Tung Chung the first new town on an outlying island. First, the
government began with the infrastructure there, housing is also built to attract more people move
in. In 1998, the Tung Chung line of MTR was opened. It provided a much easier access of the
region and thus rose the willingness of people to visit. A few more years later, people discovered
the potential of Tung Chung to be a tourist spot, as there are a number of tourist attractions like the
Big Buddha. As a result, hotels are also built in the region, as ... Show more content on

1.2 Solid waste
If noise is not a big problem, how about solid waste? We know that tourists tend to consume in their
journey. Will the waste they create be a problem to the Tung Chung community? 33
To be a well designed tourist spot, of course you have to take care of every basic need of the
tourists. It includes the provision of food and beverage. However, the catering sector is one of the
largest origins of waste. It produces considerable amount of food waste, disposable tableware and
packaging everyday. I observed that there are a lot of restaurants in Citygate and the Ngong Ping
village. I believe the amount of waste they produce everyday should be considerable too. We can
see that it is one of the ways how tourism boosts consumption. and finally leads to the problem of
solid waste. However, after my observation, I do not think this particular problem causes huge
impacts to the local community. The government and the developer of the attractions have done a
great job on waste management. They collect and transfer the waste in an efficient way, which
makes me unable to obtain proof of the solid waste problem. The hygienic condition of the streets
and public areas was satisfactory too. I only saw rubbish on the bench in the bus terminus. 182

Benefits New Approach
As a student pursuing a Master s degree at Florida International University, I am aware of the
future benefits of receiving a degree of this caliber in regards to career opportunities and
compensation. FIU offers a variety of degree programs ranging from bachelor s to doctorates and
professional degrees. However, there are existing programs that should be offered at a higher degree
level which would significantly benefit graduate students and the university. One particular
program that should most certainly be offered to students is a Masters degree in Health Services
Administration. The university as well as graduate students are mutually being deprived of a great
opportunity, therefore I am writing this memo in efforts to implement a... Show more content on

The university is lacking superior resources that would adequately prepare graduate students of
this field and facilitate their success on the job market. The College of Nursing Health Sciences is
missing out on an opportunity to expand graduate student enrollment. The university board could
possibly react as if this matter is not significant. However, it is of grand significance that FIU
offers a Master s degree in Health Services Administration, and the following benefits of a new
approach will explain why.
Benefits of New Approach
Today s job market is extremely competitive. With more and more students graduating college
with a Master s degree, it becomes progressively difficult for those who have only achieved a
Bachelor s degree to compete. A Master s degree in Health Services Administration would benefit
graduate students of this field out on the job market and increment their potential career salaries.
In countless areas of work, college graduates that hold a master s degree allow them to earn
considerably superior initial salaries than graduates whom only received a bachelors degree in the
equivalent field of study. Emily Driscoll, the writer of the article Masters Degrees: Are They Worth
It? states that the National Association of Colleges and Employers, presents that there is an existing
potentially larger opportunity in compensation for degrees of a

The Importance Of Corporate Finance For An Entrepreneur
This research has been conducted to examine the importance of corporate finance to an
entrepreneur, and the role it plays in an organization regardless of the structure of a company, or
stage of growth. The various forms of ownership are reviewed for startup companies and major
corporations to highlight the advantages and disadvantages of each form of ownership, and to
illustrate the importance of corporate finance. To provide a balanced view of ownership, less
common forms of business ownership are examined using the same criteria to further illustrate the
importance of corporate finance. Introduction Corporate finance is the area of finance dealing with
sources of funding and the capital structure of corporations (Brealey, Myers, Allen, 2011).
Corporate finance also relate to the corporate strategy of an organization (Universtiy, 2015) that
managers employ to increase the value of the firm (Scarborough Cornwall, 2014, p. 71) for its
shareholders (Brealey, et al., 2011). Understanding corporate finance is a critical skill for all
managers, regardless to the type of business ownership. Too often, there is no thought given to the
type of ownership an entrepreneur should choose (Kaplan Warren, 2013). Consideration should also
be given to liability exposures, taxes, capital requirements for startup companies, future capital
requirements, motivation, and entrepreneurial fit. Entrepreneurs are motivated by control, by
wealth creation, or by social

Relationship Between IPT And CBT
Several studies suggest that CBT and IPT may have specific effects when competently
implemented, but only for patients with more severe depression. Among studies that tested for
moderation with respect to severity, specific effects were found only among patients with more
severe depression, with respect to both psychotherapy and medications (Driessen et al., 2010;
Fournier, 2010; Kirsch et al., 2008). Some call this the dirty little secret of pharmaceutical
industry that has long selectively screened out patients with less severe depression (in order to up
the odds of finding drug placebo differences required to win FDA approval) and then turns around
and markets those same medications to people who it knows full well are likely to respond

  • 3. Teacher Tenure Essay Wisniewski 1 Bill Wisniewski ENG 1520 Dr. David James 6 August 2012 Teacher Tenure Today, there seems to be a push to change the policy of teacher tenure. Roughly 2.3 million public school teachers in the United States have tenure a perk reserved for the noblest of professions (professors and judges also enjoy such rights). (Stephey) Tenure refers to a policy which gives teachers a permanent contract that effectively ensuring them a guarantee of employment for life. Stephey continues to state, Though tenure doesn t guarantee lifetime employment, it does make firing teachers a difficult and costly process, one that involves the union, the school board, the principal, the judicial system and thousands of dollars in legal fees. ... Teachers should have no fear in being dismissed if they are doing the job that they were hired for. In the other hand, if one is not doing their job teaching then that is simply one owns fault when getting fired. There are many workers who work hard to get what they deserve such as high pay and benefits. Then why do are there laws which protects teacher s jobs only? In school districts across America there are stories as found in an article from Meghan Mathis as she writes, New York faced intense scrutiny and criticism in 2009 when it came to light it had been paying full salaries to nearly 700 tenured teachers who had been accused of poor performance or wrongdoing. These teachers were paid not to teach, but rather to sit in a guarded room from start to finish of each day. How is the government benefitting our society by using tax payer s dollars to pay for teachers to idly sit in a room when these dollars could be used to introduce new programs into the classroom or better yet a teacher willing to do the job? Why are tax payer s dollars wasted by spending this money on terminating teachers? Writing in Time, Stephey states that Some school districts have resorted to separation Wisniewski 4 ... According to The Sun (2018), The killers walked James for two and half miles and were spotted by 38 people some of whom challenged the pair. These ten year old boys were claiming James as their little brother or James was lost and they were trying to help him find his mum when questions came about. They poured modelling paint into his eyes, stoned him and clubbed him with bricks, before leaving him on the railway line to be hit by a train. • 6. St. Thomas Aquinas s An Unjust Law St. Thomas Aquinas argues that an an unjust law is no law at all. (Aquinas in Dimock, ed., 2002, p.19) However, Aquinas also acknowledges that a human lawgiver may promulgate a command that has the form of law, and is enforced like a law, yet is unjust. This observation leads to the realization that these are two inconsistent claims. Yet Aquinas believes that these inconstancies can be reconciled. In Aquinas view an unjust law is not a law but yet is also able to be issued as law and imposed as law. Throughout the course of this essay, I will first define what Aquinas means by incorporating the claim that an unjust law is no law at all . This will include defining important terms that will correspond with evaluating Aquinas claim.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It is imperative to understand Aquinas definition of just and unjust laws. Through defining these terms, we will be able to understand Aquinas claim. A law that is just has the power of binding in conscience (Aquinas in Dimock, ed., 2002, p.20). It is derived from eternal law and therefore inherently morally correct. An unjust law lacks this integral quality. Aquinas is willing to say that an unjust law is a so called law, but a just law is a law proper in its entirety. A law is said to be just when it is ordained for the common good, does not exceed the power of the lawgiver and any burdens put on the subjects are done proportionally and equally and aim for the common good (Aquinas in Dimock, ed., 2002, p.20). In comparison an unjust law can be contrary to the human good and additionally opposing to the divine good. A law can conflict with the human good in one of three ways; either through its end, author or its form. A lawmaker issues an unjust law according to its end when he imposes on his subjects burdensome laws, conducive not to the common good, but rather to his own cupidity or vainglory (Aquinas in Dimock, ed., 2002, p.20). If a lawmaker imposes a law that favors the leader but at the same time imposes unfair burdens on the whole of society, it can be assumed that he is working for his glory and selfish desires. Secondly, a law according to its form would be ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In the recent decades, this theory of high intelligence has gone under much research and experimentation to intent to establish the extent of corvid cognition. Multiple studies have been conductive on Corvus corax examining its cognitive abilities. They have related these abilities to the species phenology and evolution along with other cognitively gifted animals, such as apes (van Horik et al. 2012). While the belief of high intelligence remains relatively true for certain cognitive aspects such as spatial reasoning and memory, these corvids prove less competent in the areas like contextual understanding and problem solving with patterns. It is useful to know one s orientation in the world and being able to draw inferences from another object s or organisms orientation. The major factor of this was which of the strings they decided to pull. How Did Hernan Cortes Influence The Progress Of Aztec Empire MANPREET KAUR STUDENT ID: 100294247 HERNAN CORTES AND THE CONQUEST OF AZTEC EMPIRE To begin with, the turning point in Aztec empire was the time when Spanish conquistadors entered into the empire in 1519, with their chief general, Hernan Cortes. He is well known for conquering the Aztec empire and also for being the first governor of Mexico. This led to complete transformation of Mexico to new world forming new lifestyle for the native people. This essay would talk about Hernan Cortes s life and achievements, his intentions behind his every step, in my opinion, and according to some sources. Before anything else, let s talk about his nature. From where I am sitting, Cortes was ambitious, greedy and determined. This nature of Cortes is very evident from the incident of his notorious behaviour of trying to escape from married woman due to which he got injured. Some years passed but his over ambitious nature did not change. When he came to Cuba, as a young soldier, he was very eager to explore the strange world around him because as he knew that the land surrounding the Cuba was full of treasures. On the coincide, he developed a very good relationship with the Cuban governor [Velazquez Diego], who trusted him and promoted him from soldier to clerk. Free will is the power of humans to make choices that are not determined by prior causes or by divine intervention. Determinism is a theory or doctrine that acts of the will , occurrences in nature, or social or psychological phenomena are causally determined by preceding events or natural laws. Free willis present in the film. This can be interpreted through the young Nemo when he tries to choose the best choice; stay with his father or go with his mother. A movement away from the apparent objectivity provided helps reveal the themes of free will and determinism. Apparent objectivity is a clear bias with no room for interpretation. With less use of apparent objectivity, there is more underlying bias opinion. Nemo is an omniscient narrator in the film because he has access to all future events that are to occur in the film. This can relate to free will and determinism for the following reasons. Since Nemo can predict the future he has the choice of choosing. This shows Nemo s character as one who cannot make a choice because of all the possible outcomes. This hinders his ability of free will because all possible outcomes are set in stone and there is nothing he can do to change it. As Nemo says, As long as you don t choose, everything remains possible . What this quote could mean is that there is that the possibilities are endless and there is nothing someone can do to stop them from doing it. This relates well with the movement away from apparent objectivity because whatever choice someone makes, there is more interpretation with whatever choice they make. This is evident throughout the film when it shows different shots of Nemo in his alternate lives. It shows the different angles of his other lives by portraying that ... (Figure 1) A decision is made by comparing the information in the short term memory with previous experiences stored in the long term memory. The first stage in the information processing model is called stimulus identification (see figure 1). The person starts off by detecting the stimulus, such as seeing the basketball approach them from a chest pass. The next stage is the initiation of their response. We traveled to CMH and Vincennes the majority of the day. Job shadowing a Paramedic was a very wonderful experience and it has influenced my career choice greatly. I job shadowed two job titles. The second one was a Registered Nurse. I Job shadowed four nursing directors and their departments. These were David Devries with MED SURG, Will Schultz with OR, Shelly Hillary with ER, and Andrea Plew with Magnolia Center. I interviewed each department about their job title and toured their department. Unfortunately, I could not job shadow them while they were doing their job. Interviewing them still influenced my choice of career. Being both a Paramedic and a RN is a very stressful but rewarding career. • 23. Reflection And Discussion On Absorption Spectra 3. Results and Discussion 3.1. Absorption spectra study of 5 aminopyridine Schiff base (L1 and L2): The absorption spectrum of probes L1 and L2 (40 ОјM) were investigated in the presence of metals ions in DMSO solvent. As shown in Fig. 1, Schiff base L1 exhibited absorption band at 269 nm, 310 nm, 323 nm and 347 nm; and L2 at 264 nm, 319 nm, 341 nm, 439 nm and 462 nm, that may be attributed to ПЂ ПЂ* charge transfer transition. However, no remarkable changes were observed in absorption spectra after the addition of 1 equivalent various metal ions such as Ag(I), K(I), Li(I) Na(I), Co(II), Cu(II), Cd(II), Pb(II), Mg(II), Hg(II), Mn(II), Al(III), Cr(III), Gd(III) and Nd(III) ions. Interestingly upon the addition of zinc and nickel ions to the probe L1 absorbance peak shifted to higher wavelength (red shift) from 347 nm to 413 nm and 410 nm, respectively. Thus, L1 Zn(II) and L1+Ni(II) complexes exhibited color change from colorless to intense yellow color. Similarly, the addition of Fe(III) and UO2(II) to the probe L2, absorbance peak lead to decrease at 439/462 nm while new peak appear at 355 nm and 366/ 515 nm, respectively. Consequently, the absorbance peaks of L2 Fe(III) complexes shifted to UV region, thus light yellow color turned to colorless, and in case of L2 UO2(II) complex absorbance peak showed red shift effect, that resulted in dark yellow color (Fig. 2a and b). Thus, absorption spectral changes were enabled to detect Ni(II), Zn(II), Fe(III) and UO2(II) as a naked eye ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

On his path to becoming the first black player in the major leagues, he had to endure many challenges, such as, racism expressed as insults, physical harm and pressure from his teammates, other baseball owners, and fans. In paragraph three of the text, Robinson states, Some of my own teammates refused to accept me because I was black. This quote shows that Robinson had to deal with racial tensions because his skin was black. He was often separated from the rest of his teammates, and was rejected by them because of his skin color. The consensus of authors like Herbert Spires and Mirko Grmek is that a strong, organized civil disobedience protest movement was necessary to combat the general apathy towards AIDSfrom both the government and from the medical community. However, there was some disagreement about this civil disobediencefrom people like John W Toomey. Additionally, the protest movement itself was divided into two factions, gay men on one side, and women and minorities on the other. Each had disparate experiences with that AIDS community, and each disagreed on the focus of the movement. In the end, both factions utilization of mainstream protest methods, along with civil disobedience, had a major effect on AIDS research and lead to life saving changes in the treatment of individuals living with AIDS. In July of 1981, a rare form of cancer was killing gay men in New York and California. This new, deadly homosexual disease would come to be known as AIDS, Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome. In the decade or so that followed, as it became clear that this was not merely gay disease, but a disease that affected, women, hemophiliacs and children, the government reacted with indifference. • 38. Summary Of The Middle Class In Madame Bovary The middle class in France during the early 1800s, otherwise known as the Bourgeoisie, was defined by capitalistic views and business minded outlooks. However, many people of this era, including author Gustave Flaubert, were highly critical of this middle class. In Flaubert s novel Madame Bovary, the character Homais represents the ideas and spirit of the Bourgeoisie. Because of his dissatisfaction with the middle class, the author gives Homais several negative character traits, such as selfishness, cowardice, and hypocrisy. Flaubert s criticism of the egotistical and corrupt nature of Homais is evident during the procedure on Hippolyte and the argument between Homais and the priest; Homais triumph at the end of the novelsuggests that Flaubert is also critical of the outcome of the pharmacist s actions, not just the actions themselves. Flaubert establishes Homais cowardice when he refuses to take responsibility for the failed operation on Hippolyte. Charles originally does not want to take part in this procedure, but Homais urges him to do so. After the operation is deemed a failure, Monsieur Canivet criticizes Charles to Homais when he says, But some doctors want to be smart, so they use all sorts of remedies on their patients without worrying about the consequences... and, ...we wouldn t dream of operating on someone who s in perfect health! (Flaubert 157). Even though Homais knows that he pressured Charles into performing this operation, he does not say anything to Canivet that expresses his partial responsibility. Flaubert writes, He therefore did not defend Bovary or make any comment at all; abandoning his principles, he sacrificed his pride to the more serious interests of his business (157). Therefore, Flaubert criticizes the spineless nature of Homais by emphasizing his lack of response to Canivet s insults. The author reveals Homais character trait of irresponsibility in this scene, suggesting that Flaubert views the Bourgeoisie as cowardly. Homais and the middle class, in the mind of Flaubert, are too craven to be held accountable for any action that would hurt their reputations. They came to America on the Mayflower, brought for their medicinal benefits. Before the inventions of the lawn, dandelions were praised as a bounty of food, medicine, and magic (Sanchez 2007). Dandelions grow anywhere that has an abundance of sunlight, such as lawns, sidewalks, and roads, and are difficult to get rid of because of their long roots. Against many gardener s judgement, growing dandelions in a garden can be beneficial (Sanchez 2007). Their roots loosen the soil making it easier to grow plants and their leaves, flowers, and roots can be harvested to cure a variety of illnesses. Dandelions grown as a crop should be spaced about a foot apart and kept clean by hoeing. The tops should be cut off so the land will not be smothered by the weed when the seeds appear. Dandelions can be used as a stimulant to our bodies, but are used mainly for the urinary organs, and also used to treat kidney and liver disorders. The leaves can be used as a general tonic and the roots can be used for muscle pain. Dandelion greens are used as a diuretic and their effect can help lower blood pressure. Dandelion roots also are good cleansing and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The main character, Hanneke, has multiple run ins with the German policemen within her town. Right after the opening of the Hong Kong International Airport in 1998, it was developed as part of the Airport Core Programme. The government decided to make Tung Chung the first new town on an outlying island. First, the government began with the infrastructure there, housing is also built to attract more people move in. In 1998, the Tung Chung line of MTR was opened. It provided a much easier access of the region and thus rose the willingness of people to visit. A few more years later, people discovered the potential of Tung Chung to be a tourist spot, as there are a number of tourist attractions like the Big Buddha. We know that tourists tend to consume in their journey. Will the waste they create be a problem to the Tung Chung community? 33 To be a well designed tourist spot, of course you have to take care of every basic need of the tourists. It includes the provision of food and beverage. However, the catering sector is one of the largest origins of waste. It produces considerable amount of food waste, disposable tableware and packaging everyday. I observed that there are a lot of restaurants in Citygate and the Ngong Ping village. I believe the amount of waste they produce everyday should be considerable too. We can see that it is one of the ways how tourism boosts consumption. and finally leads to the problem of solid waste. However, after my observation, I do not think this particular problem causes huge impacts to the local community. The government and the developer of the attractions have done a great job on waste management. They collect and transfer the waste in an efficient way, which makes me unable to obtain proof of the solid waste problem. The hygienic condition of the streets and public areas was satisfactory too. However, it is of grand significance that FIU offers a Master s degree in Health Services Administration, and the following benefits of a new approach will explain why. Benefits of New Approach Today s job market is extremely competitive. With more and more students graduating college with a Master s degree, it becomes progressively difficult for those who have only achieved a Bachelor s degree to compete. A Master s degree in Health Services Administration would benefit graduate students of this field out on the job market and increment their potential career salaries. In countless areas of work, college graduates that hold a master s degree allow them to earn considerably superior initial salaries than graduates whom only received a bachelors degree in the equivalent field of study. The Importance Of Corporate Finance For An Entrepreneur This research has been conducted to examine the importance of corporate finance to an entrepreneur, and the role it plays in an organization regardless of the structure of a company, or stage of growth. The various forms of ownership are reviewed for startup companies and major corporations to highlight the advantages and disadvantages of each form of ownership, and to illustrate the importance of corporate finance. To provide a balanced view of ownership, less common forms of business ownership are examined using the same criteria to further illustrate the importance of corporate finance. Too often, there is no thought given to the type of ownership an entrepreneur should choose (Kaplan Warren, 2013).
