While reading Absalom, Absalom! I was amazed at the number of times one of the
narrators would refer to faces or voices as being present rather than to the people

In the twenty second book of the Odyssey, Odysseus, having returned to Ithaca,
commences his plan to kill the suitors that have been plaguing his house for so long.
One of the main reasons Odysseus does this, in addition to serving justice, is for the
reason of purifying his house. However, is the way in which Odysseus goes about
purifying his house perhaps too harsh for slaughtering all of the suitors, too lenient
