My Writing Style And Writing
Writing was never a known weakness of mine. However, I could never confidently call it a
strength. Throughout the course of this semester, my writing style has evolved and I have rid
my writing of many habitual mistakes. I have learned to appreciate writing much more, and
enjoy the moments where my mind meets words on a paper. Creativity has always been one of
my strong suits, but through this course I catered my creativity to compose a variety of essays
and speeches. Likewise, public speaking is something that I did not struggle with in the past, yet
the structure of the class required a video speeches which was fairly new to me. All in all, I have

course.
In high school, I took both AP English Language and AP English Literature. These courses
prepared me well for college composition courses, but left me in the dark regarding the personal
style development in writing and writing patterns. I was trapped in the high school, five paragraph
essay form that constricted my thoughts for so long. Discourse 300 enabled me to move past the
form and explore new ways to compose writing. This in turn has made my thoughts more complex

through all of this it is a great sport to take part in. This year was my first year in marching bandand
it was hard! I had to go through a lot of different struggles. Before school even started this year I
came to school Monday through Friday for two weeks to learn how to be in marching band. The
first week we practiced from 8 to 6 and during the second week we practiced from 8 to 8. That is

In 2011 there were 650 deaths of children who were not properly buckled or in a car seat when
riding in a vehicle, with the use of a booster that could have been extremely reduced. Families are
out on road trips so much more than in the past, which means that children are in the car far

In the modern world, education is the crucial key to the economic success. It can help a poor
country become a developed country, or make a developed country become a more advanced one. A
successful education system is a system, which makes sure that every student can have access to
knowledge equally. Although the United States is one of the wealthiest countries in the world,
there seem to be many inequalities in the American education system. In this essay, the education
inequalities will be classified into four areas: race, economic background, gender, and standardized
educational testing.
First, racial disparities remain in the American education system. The numbers in surveys
conducted by the Education Department in 2013 and 2014 school years supported this idea.
According to the study: Since pre school, black and minority students received out of school
suspensions more than white students 3.6 times as much as white children, to be exact (Ahmed).
Racial disparities also happen during K to 12. For example, black students were excluded from
classes 3.8 times as much as white students (Ahmed). Moreover, another shocking stat states that a
black student was 2.3 times more likely to be arrested by a police officer than white students
(Ahmed). Class availability and teacher qualifications also show the imbalance in our education
