Security Measures And Encryption Standard
Abstract Security is one of the primary concern in today s era.Lots of Cryptographic Schemes are
evolved in order to accomplish this.Advanced encryption standard is one of the secure
cryptographic schemes now a days. The Proposed architecture incorporates the AES 128 bit
Algorithm, compares the features of Core AES and Pipelined AES (on the basis of device
utilization summary). The design is synthesized on the device Vertex 5 using XilinxISE.
Keywords component; formatting; style; styling; insert (key words) I.INTRODUCTION The large
and growing number of internet and wireless communication users has led to an increasing demand
of security measures and devices for protecting the user data transmitted over the unsecured network
so that unauthorized persons cannot access it. The increasing need for Secured data communication
has led to development of several cryptography algorithms [31]. Cryptography uses the encryption
algorithm and a key to send confidential data through an insecure channel[26] There are mainly
two types of encryption algorithms, private key (also called symmetric key) and public key.
Private key algorithms involve only one key, both for encryption and decryption whereas, public
key algorithms involve two keys, one for encryption and other for decryption [29]. The public key
algorithm is complex and has very high computation time. Private key algorithm is simple and
therefore, it is more suitable for faster implementation [30].

Trove Character Analysis
How to properly build a character in Trove
Have you ever asked a player on Trove what their power rank is and was astonished by their
answer? Then this is how they got where they are and what you will need to get your character or
character up to the desired level.
The first thing you need to do when it comes to becoming a top Trovain player is to look at what
gives the power to you as the player. There are three big things that make up your characters. The
first one is the level of the character. Having a max level thirty character is one of the first things
you need. The second is to keep your eye on your mastery, each level you add to your mastery you
get power rank added to all your characters. Thus, bringing ... Show more content on

Another key factor you will notice as you are leveling up your character is you are unlocking
gem slots. This is key to the power rank portion of Trove, and that s why you need to be level 30
because by doing so you will have unlocked all gem slots and allow you to insert the maximum
number of gems onto that character.
After talking about leveling and gems a little I will go in a little deeper in the matter. To make
sure you can get into the desired portals as you level. Your face, hat, and weapon you should be
changing out with the items you pick up from dungeons if it will give you more power rank.
Your end gear type will be called Stellar gear but you will end up having to buy that from another
player using the in game currency but that will be needed later. So, in the mean time you will
focus on what gear you can find at the end of dungeons. This is also applied to the gems you will
get from opening the gem boxes you receive for completing dungeons. You wantto equip the
highest power ranked gem which is commonly received after opening seventy gem boxes.
The prime goal of you leveling and stick on gear is to reach ten thousand power rank and be
level thirty. You should be able to do such by leveling the radiant gems up to level fifteen that you
will find in Uber eight world. Once you get into Uber nine world with your ten thousand power
rank then you will need to change your game play a little on what gems you will equip

Plant Kinship In Plants
Plants are boring. That has been the belief of mankind for generations. Animals are obviously
highly complex creatures with complex organ systems, and even more intricate organs like the
brain. The animal brain is able to sense surroundings, detect eminent danger, form relationships
with other animals, and recognize families. However, even without a brain, plants are capable of
all this and more. For example, Parasitic plants such as the Dionaea muscipula are able to sense
and trap their prey, the Mimosa pudica has the ability to sense touch and wilt, and plants like the
Cuscuta Pentagona can sense volatile organic compounds (VOCs) from tomato plants to form a
parasitic relationship (Biedrzycki M et al. 2010). Furthermore, some positive ways that plants
exhibit communication includes kinship. As children, humans are taught to share their toys and
food with their siblings. Plants it seems, have the same concept to ensure optimal growth and
survival, as they act selflessly towards their relatives, share resources, and exhibit less competition
and more cooperation with their kin. Plants are able to recognize fellow kin through responses to
VOCs from relatives, and perform acts of altruismto kin by resource partitioning amongst siblings
through rootallocation (Karban R et al. 2013). The current research on plantkinship and areas of
future research will be discussed, as well the controversies surrounding this subject. Despite the
debate on plant kinship,

Historical Significance Of Japanese History
History: Prehistoric Japan dates back to circa 10,000 BCE where the roots of fishing and pottery
making began; however, official Japanese history was first recorded in 1st century BCE (Japan,
2016). In the 1930 s and 40 s, Japan became more prominent in the global stage due to its
participation in the attack on Pearl Harbor (1941) and the U.S. coordinated Hiroshima bombings
(1945) during the World Wars (Japan, 2016). Since the 1950 s, Japan has been recognized as one
of the strongest economies in the developing and globalizing world. The fact that Japan is an
island has historically made it difficult to invade and has allowed the country to withstand
conflict between other countries. This has been demonstrated in various imperialistic conflicts in
certain parts of Asia. Places of Interest There are many notable places in Japan such as Mt. Fuji,
Nachi Falls, Sagano Bamboo Forest, and Aogashima (Ma, 2015). These places have both
historical significance and natural beauty. Mt. Fuji is one of the tallest volcanoes in Japan
(UNESCO, 2013). Life evolves around the dormant volcano, as its large presence has become an
icon and artistic muse for everyday life in Japan (Smithsonian Institution, 2013). Nachi Falls is an
orange, Buddhist and Shinto shrine. It is accompanied by a 133 meter waterfall that has
contributed to religious development in the area for the past centuries (Japan guid.com, 2016).
Lastly, Aogashima is an active volcanic island made up of a volcano

The International Security Threat Report
The International Security Threat Report provides data on cybersecurity attacks and threats
throughout 2012. The report shows that there was a 42% increase in targeted attacks (page 10).
Although the types of attacks have been evolving, the number of people affected and the
amount of damage has increased. Cyber attacks have evolved in such a way that allows them to
be a large threat for citizens, businesses, and governments. Cyber attacks have been putting the
privacy and information of citizens at risk through mobile malware. From 2011 to 2012 the
amount of mobile malware increased by 58% (page 12). The mobile malware was used to steal
the the user s information 32% of the time (page 33). This is especially dangerous considering
people increasingly use their phones to store personal information. Cell phones are tied to the
owner s phone contract, which offers an additional way for the hacker to cause financial damage to
the phone s owner. Cell phone users can decrease the risk of having their private information stolen
and their device compromised by installing securitysoftware on their cell phones, but that does not
get rid of the risk altogether. Social media has also increased the security threat for citizens. In the
past cyber criminals and spammers have attempted to steal information and scam users through
spam emails, however, because of the increasing popularity of social media networks, cyber
criminals and spammers have been using emails less and

Minor Importance
Communication would be a great major but I am passionate about nursing. If anything I would
make it my minor. Of course the major is more important than the minor, but the minor always
benefits you somehow. Some might say minors do not matter, but they do. Minors could help to
shape one s future path a career will take or even open a few potential outcomes for professions
one may seek after. Once in a while, having the right minor can serve as a kind of sudden death
round in the middle of you and a generally just as qualified competitor for the same occupation. To
have communication as my minor, 5 courses are required. Those 5 courses are a total of 18 hours.

The Passionate Shepherd to His Love and The Nymph’s Reply...
The Passionate Shepherd to His Love and The Nymph s Reply to the Shepherd: A comparison
The Passionate Shepherd to His Love was written by Christopher Marlowe. The poem describes
a shepherd s plea to someone he loves urging them to live with him. Marlowe uses imagery to
describe the scenery around the shepherd and his love. The shepherd tries to convince her how
happy they will be, surrounded by mountain yields and groves in stanza one. Marlowe does not
only use imagery in his poem but he also describes the aroma And a thousand fragrant posies. He
creates a tranquil atmosphere by describing the harmonious sound in the second and third stanzas.
Melodious birds sing madrigals. In the third stanza the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In the first stanza she says that if everything that the shepherd had said to her was true she would
live with him and be his love. However she tries to bring him to his senses and make him realize
that things do change and nothing is permanent. The flowers do fade and wanton fields To
wayward Winter reckoning yields. In the quotation above she is expressing the idea that when
winter comes the flowers will no longer be in their full bloom. Again in the fourth stanza the
nymph tells the shepherd that beds of roses and posies will not last in winter. Sir Walter Ralegh
uses the nymph to make the point that spring changes to autumn as youth changes to old age and
because of this she will not live with the shepherd. This conveys the impermanence of nature and
by implication the impermanence of love. In comparison with the shepherd s description it is a
more brutal but realistic portrayal of love. The Passionate Shepherd to His Love is an idealistic
poem with fairytale images of country life whilst Sir Walter Ralegh s poem parodies the style of a
love letter. The poems are similar in that they are connected by a question and answer form. Both
poems have similar structures as they both have six stanzas and rhyming couplets. The rhyming
couplets stress the last word of the sentence drawing attention to them helping the reader to
understand the poem.

The Case Of Hill Chief Constable Of West Yorkshire 1989
TORT LAW ASSIGNENT
INTRODUCTION
This assignment will be explaining various areas of tort law. But mostly will be dealing with the
rule in the case of Hill Chief Constable of West Yorkshire 1989. This assignment will identify the
nature of tortious liability and the range of activities to which the law of tort may be applied.
Tort is a civil wrong which is done to an individual. If a civil wrong is done to an individual the
law provides a remedy where the individual takes the wrongdoer to court. According to Winfield
and Jojowicz negligence is a breach of a legal duty to take care resulting in damage. There are three
Eras of negligence which are:
1.Neighbour principle this principle was brought in the of Donoghue v Stevenson(1932) where ...

Secondly, if the first question is answered affirmatively, it is necessary to consider whether there
are any considerations which ought to negative, or to reduce or limit the scope of the duty or the
class of person to whom it is owed or the damages to which a breach of it may give rise.
3.Three stage test: foreseeability, proximity, fair, just and reasonable Caparo v Dickman (1990)
1990 2010. In this stage, under the Caparo test the claimant must make sure and establish that the
harm was reasonably predictable, that there was a relationship of proximity and if it is fair just
and reasonable to enforce a duty of care.
Negligence always involves establishing whether a duty of care exists and who has that duty. A
good example is shown in the case of Donoghue v Stevenson 1932. This case introduced the law
of negligence and the neighbour test. In this case a friend took Mrs Donoghue went to cafe with
a friend and bought her an ice cream and ginger beer. The ginger beer came in a bottle which
wasn t clear enough to see the contents inside. After drinking half of her ginger beer she then
poured the rest on top of the ice cream when a discomposed snail came out from the bottle. As a
result Mrs Donoghue fell sick and suffered personal injury. She then went on to claim against the
company that produces ginger beer. It was held that her claim was successful and therefore the
neighbour test was established. Lord Atkins commented

The Great Chilean Earthquake On Chile
Earthquakes throughout the world have devastated certain areas of the world, some places more
than others. One area of the world that has been absolutely devastated by many earthquakes
throughout time is the South American country, Chile. While there have been many very
substantial earthquakes in Chile, one stands out most, The Great Chilean Earthquake. On May 22,
1960, The Great Chilean Earthquake hit Chile. This is the largest earthquake ever recorded with a
magnitude of 9.5 out of 10.0. It absolutely traumatized the country of Chile and surrounding areas.
Just the earthquake itself wasn t the only thing doing damage, the quake caused monstrous
tsunamis across the coast of Chile and it even caused tsunamis in Hawaii, Japan, and the
Philippines. For an earthquake to not only cause mass destruction to the area of the quake, but to
strongly affect other places, just goes to show how powerful The Great Chilean Earthquake was.
Not only has Chile have to deal with this great earthquake, Chile has been hit with almost 30 8.0
earthquake throughout time that we know of. Chile also has 2 of the top 10 biggest earthquakes
ever recorded. The Great Chilean Earthquake and the the amount of big earthquakes Chile has to
deal with, definitely affects how the Chilean people live everyday, they have to live in fear that the
next Big One could devastate their country again.
The Great Chilean Earthquake was caused when the Nazca Plate subducted under the South
American Plate. This exact

Flies Away With Bait Tips
Grilling is a wondrous experience: mouth watering food sizzling on the barbie, white clouds
floating gently across the vast blue sky, and a barrage of flies and other insects doing their best to
annoy everyone. Grilling outdoors is more adventurous than cooking indoors, and it s also an
opportunity for pests to earn their bad reputation. Fortunately, the three tips below will help you
keep the bugs at bay so you can grill in peace!
1. Keep Flies Away With Bait Traps
Swatting flies every few minutes is an exercise in frustration, and it s not exactly sanitary to
splatter flies all over the food containers, benches, and cooking surfaces that the unhygienic insects
frequently land on. Fortunately, fly bait stations are readily available and effective. These traps are
filled with food that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Keep Mosquitoes Away With Citronella Candles
Mosquitoes may not be interested in your food, but they are interested in feeding on you.
Spreading several deadly diseases, mosquitoes are more than just a nuisance they are a potential
threat to your health. That being said, deterring mosquitoes is easy with citronella candles.
These candles are created using the oil of citronella, a type of grass that mosquitoes loathe. Use
this to your advantage by forming a barrier around your grill with citronella candles. Place them
every four feet for optimal coverage. Then those pesky mosquitoes will be forced to find another
BBQ to crash.
3. Keep Ants Away With Powdered Charcoal
Now that you ve made a barrier to keep mosquitoes away, you ll want to make one for ants, too.
This can be done using charcoal. More specifically, powdered charcoal. Yes, you read that correctly.
Charcoal is great for grilling food and keeping ants away from that food.
Simply sprinkle powdered charcoal in a line around areas where you don t want ants traveling. Be
sure that there are no gaps in the barrier, however, or the ants will find the opening(s) and continue
merrily on their journey to your

Alice Came To A Fork In The Road Lewis Carroll Quotes
Alice came to a fork in the road. Which road do I take? she asked. Where do you what to go?
responded the Cheshire cat. I don t know, Alice answered. Then, said the cat, It doesn t matter.
Lewis Carroll, Alice in Wonderland. This is a quote from Alice and Wonderland, by Lewis
Carroll, as said before. Basically what happens in the quote was Alice started walking and then
came to a fork in the road. Now, she does not know her way around Wonderland, so she sees this cat
and says to herself, This cat probably talks, so she asks the cat where she should go. The cat then
asks where she wants to go, and, of course, Alice says she does not know because she has never
been to Wonderland before, and is hoping that the cat will tell her a preferable direction. Well,
instead of just giving a direction, the cat just replies, all non chilan, then it doesn t matter. This
probably leaves Alice thinking, Well that... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Well, this quote means that if you are faced with a tough decision, and you do not know what to
do, even if you ask someone else what to do, their choice does not matter in the slightest. The
only decision that matters is yours. I feel like this quote can relate to me in real life. This quote
could relate to my life because all the time, I feel like I have to make so many choices in life,
and I try to ask other people what I should do. Instead of just choosing for me, they say, Well,
what do you want? and I usually am very wishy washy and I say that I do not know, and they say,
basically, what the Cheshire Cat said to Alice. Likewise, this quote relates to The Road Less
Traveled On because, in the poem, Robert Frost talks about two paths, and he chose to take the
road less traveled on, which means that he was given two choices, and he chose the less popular
one. Although, in this quote, Alice does not actually choose a path, she is faced with two choices,
much like in the aforementioned

The Stone Angel by Margaret Laurence
In her novel The Stone Angel, Margaret Laurence uses the stone angel monument to embody the
qualities of Hagar . Over the course of the novel, Hagar reflects back on the memories that have
made up her life. Hagar s loneliness and depression are self induced and brought on by her pride,
lack of emotion, stubbornness and the ignorance which she has towards anyone s opinion but her
own. The qualities of Hagar are identical with those possessed by the stone angel monument and
paralleled by Laurence many times throughout the novel. The angel was certainly not a suitable
statue to mark the death of Mrs. Currie as it was uncharacteristic of her. The statue of the angel is a
more fitting representation of Hagar s father Jason Currie and hence... Show more content on

When her son John dies she does not weep, almost as if she was made of stone. The night my son
died I was transformed to stone and never wept at all. (Laurence 243) Hagar believed if she cried
it would damage her pride and make her appear weak. She would simply not have people think
that. I wouldn t cry in front of strangers, whatever it cost me. (Laurence 242) Hagar makes love
to Bram and never lets him know that she enjoyed it. He never knew. I never let him know. I
never spoke aloud, and I made certain the trembling was all inner. (Laurence 81) She could never
allow others to know how she felt. Hagar remained emotionless throughout her life. When Bram
dies Hagar does not even dare to shed a tear. But when we d bury Bram and come home again
and lighted lamps for the evening, it was John who cried, not I. (Laurence 184) In many ways
Hagar s passionless life was identical to that of the Angel; it never shed a tear, rarely did she. Her
inability to express emotion led to her relentless ignorance of others and their opinions.
Hagar Shipley is a very stubborn woman at the age of ninety. She is very set in her ways, and does

The Pardoner, a Symbol of Greed in Geoffrey Chaucer’s...
Geoffrey Chaucer s famous medieval classic, The Canterbury Tales, offers its readers a vast
array of characters. This God s plenty features numerous unique and challenging individuals, but
there is one specifically who stands out as particularly interesting. The immoral Pardoner, who, in
a sense, sells away his soul for the sake of his own avarice, puzzles many modern readers with his
strange logic. Already having laid his considerable guilt upon the table, this corrupted agent of the
Church attempts to pawn off his counterfeit relics for a generous price. His actions are slightly
troubling and mysterious, but his shameless misdeed is easily explainable if a reader chooses to
interpret the man as a symbol rather than a fully formed human... Show more content on

A dishonest clergyman could easily prey on the insecurities of the population in order to profit
from the sale of false relics. The Pardoner, similarly, is only fixed on what [he stands] to win (PP
75). Perhaps this suggests that the corrupted character has little else on his mind, wishing only
to cheat the devout and turn a greedy profit; he thinks of nothing but of his personal gain. He
won t do any labor with [his] hands, but his greedy heart intends to live the life of the most well
to do (PP 114). The Pardoner s sermons, preaching the ills of avarice, condemn the sin of which
he is guiltiest. Radix malorum est cupiditas, is the general theme of the Pardoner s sermons,
meaning that greed is the root of all evil (PP 6). In essence, evil is born from the foolishness of
greed, and playing the part of Greed, the Pardoner is a fool. His sermon drips with the revelation
of his own guilt, for he can think of little else other than his next financial gain, and so, he
thoughtlessly speaks of his own wicked guilt. Then, oddly, the Pardoner has the audacity to pitch
a sale, offering forgiveness for pennies, silver brooches, spoons, or rings (PT 424). He is
incapable of doing otherwise. After all, the Pardoner is the symbol and purest form of guilt; his
avarice is too great a temptation to steer him from making his eloquent sales pitch to the traveling
pilgrims. It is inevitable

Analysis Of Mise En Scene In The Cabinet Of Dr Caligari
A scene analysis of Cesare s awakening
The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari by Robert Wiene
In The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari, Robert Wiene cleverly uses mise en scene and cinematography to
add to the eeriness and originality in the scene of Cesare s awakening. The scene is important to
the overall film because it instills the viewer to believe that there will be a connoting between
Cesare and Alan. The purpose can be seen in the reverse shot sequence at the end of the scene in
the dialogue How long do I have to live? Till dawn tomorrow. The scene is based highly on use of
expressionistic credit design and stylization of acting through exaggerations. Through the theatrical
design set, Robert Wiene builds tension and drama to the scene and draws the views attention to the
constructed nature of the film.
The awakening scene in The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari is filmed in a theatrical manner, where the set
is on a stage, with distorted curtains and secretive shadows. The scene is carefully centered in
the middle to make the viewer less distracted of movement within the frame. The stage curtains
work in favor of the framing and like the clever set; the costume and makeup fit the bizarre
arrangement and design of the scene. The men in the audience are all dressed in gloomy and
flowing long cloaks. To accentuate Cesare s tall and lanky figure he is dressed in a fitting black
leotard and his dark character is obscure in darkness. His dead like face is covered thickly in heavy
make up and his expression is as a warning to the viewer. Caligari, on the other hand, has an
eccentric look with crazy white hair and glasses.
When looking at the understanding of the inner frame in the scene, Cesare s expressive actions
contribute significantly. The state of trance is revealed by his sleek figure and androgynous
appearance in contrast to the other characters that are moving unusually quickly. By repeated
close ups of Cesare s hypnotic expression and tranquil figure forces the viewer to identify with
him and allows us to understand that he is restrained to react only from Dr. Caligari s commands.
Cesare is shot from a high angle ushering the viewer to join into his shocking state. The close up of
Cesare s exaggerated dark eyes, pallid

The Controversy Over Genetically Modified Organisms
A genetically modified organism, GMO, has been altered by genetic engineering techniques.
GMOs are widely used by scientists in many different ways to include the production of food
and in research.8 Zebrafish genetically modified to be a fluorescent bright red, green and
orange have been available for purchase as pets in 49 states in the United States since 2003.8
However, these patented GloFish are banned in California. The California Fish and Game
Commission decided the fish were the result of a trivial use for a powerful technology. 7 The
Commission s belief that the fish should not have been created led to a law making the GloFish
illegal. Originally GloFish were developed by scientists in Singapore to be living pollution
sensors as they would only glow when in the presence of pollutants.7 The Commission s ban on
GloFish highlights the controversy over genetically modified organisms and how public
opinion can be swayed by the beliefs of others whether those beliefs are based on science or not.
This paper will focus first on what genetic modification means and then will look at the pros and
cons of genetically modified foods. Finally, the author s opinion of the issue of GMO food will
conclude the paper. Wikipedia defines genetic modification as the mutation, insertion or deletion of
genes. Consider that for over 14,000 years, humans have been using the practice of selective
breeding by where only those organisms with desirable traits are used to breed the

Social And Natural Resource Issues
For this week s forum, I hold the view of a normative pluralistic which relates the environmental
and natural resource issue of irreversible changes caused by negative consequences for a healthy
planet. Normative pluralism is considered not to be as radical as the belief of a fundamentalist
pluralist. Formally, a normative pluralist assumes that there is a plurality of bearers of value
(Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy, 2011). The irreversible changes caused by negative
consequences for a healthy planet can be associated will the failure to widely produce agreements
globally to tackle environmental and natural resourceissues. In the article, Global Green Pluralism,
pluralistic values discussed that support my argument are comprised of the division of labor
amongst governments and nongovernmental actors to govern the environment.
Some of the values that play a key role in the overall support the creation of an effective
environmental and/or natural resource policy to preserve the environment consist of actors
/governance components, agenda setting, networks, negotiation, compliance, implementation, and
resilience. A brief detailed description of each value is listed below.
Actors and governance components include public, private, and a civil society that engage in the
authority of regulating factors that impact the environment based on their relationships. In various
ways they are able to fulfill a host of governance over activities across their components. These

Hip Hop Satire
Hip Hop Every year from 1985 to 2013 the top 5 hip hop/rap songs combined to make thirty one
thousand five hundred sixty four curse words. Does this make hip hop a respectable genre of
music? This type of music has a negative influence on kids, and it steers them in the completely
wrong direction. This is not the kind of music that should be promoted due to the things it says,
and the views it has on people based on gender or race. Children especially should not listen to
hip hop because it teaches them that it s cool and okay to say bad words and teaches them that
they should judge people and put down the ones that are different.. By looking at hip hop and the
impact it has on people one can see that it is unrespectable which is important... Show more content

I luv da dirty, dirty cause n@#$%z show me luv the ladies start to bounce as soon as I hit da

inappropriate for multiple reasons. First of all, it uses bad language. Second, it is promoting
sexual content, and it is also is disrespecting black people and women. All of this is taking place
at a bar where there is drugs and alcohol. These things are very dangerous because you aren t
thinking straight and they are bad for your body. This not a good thing for kids to listen to
because then they will think doing these things is alright and it s not. An article by Michael
Dyson explains hip hop as adolescent ghetto minstrelsy . Young children and teens that play this
music often will soon start doing things like drinking, and doing drugs without even thinking it s
not right. The songs are what is making people think all of those things are allowed. Some may
believe that the music embraces and understands the struggle of life, that may be true but the way
that it expresses those thoughts and feelings is not a good way of going about it. They say that
drugs are an amazing reliever of the problems in their life, not a path that should be followed.

Spinach Dotss Lab Report
This figure shows the difference among the average speeds at which the spinach dots raised every
minute when they photosynthesized under light with 4 different wavelengths respectively in 7
minutes. The goal of the experience was to explore how the wavelength of light could impact the
speed of photosynthesis. It was hypothesized that comparing to spinach dots under white light, the
dots under red light and blue light would raise slightly slower, and the dots under green light would
not raise up. In this experiment, the independent variable was the color(wavelength) of the light,
and the dependent variable was the speed at which the spinach dots raised. The comparative group
was the group with white light. For each trial of the experiment, 20 spinach dots which were
infiltrated with sodium bicarbonate solution were put into a beaker with the same kind of solution

An important part of the Christian MBA is listening to Jesus. The principles from the Bible aren t
just relevant for Sunday School and small group Bible Studies. They are immediately relevant for
the rough world of business. The Bible teaches about ethics that will help you earn respect,
regardless of the situation. The Bible teaches honesty, open communication, respect, honor,
obedience, and a flawless work ethic all of these are undeniable principles in the world of business.
The Christian MBA does invest you with powerful business training, but adds the indispensable
component of a biblical worldview.
Success is More Than Money
As a Christian, you realize that success is more than just earning a lot of money or achieving a
management position. Even if you are earning six figures right after graduation, this will not
ultimately satisfy you. Your ultimate satisfaction will come from a life lived by integrity and
honesty. A Christian MBA not only trains you in the practice of business excellence, but also
emphasizes the principles of life excellence. At the end of the program, you have the tools that
will earn you financial reward, but you will also be successful in the eyes of God forever.

Ancient Greek Anthropology
From an early age, we ,as humans, are constantly judging and analyzing our surroundings. From
the time we are babies to when we are old and tired, we have a sort of gut instinct which guides
us. Some call it our fight or flight instinct, while others don t care to give it a name. This feeling
has us constantly judging and analyzing everyday situations and tasks to provide both safety and
well being. Throughout our primary and secondary educations, these ideas are emphasized and
fine tuned so that we don t judge just the safety of situations, but also everything from English
essays to mathematical questions in a cookie cutter fashion. That is, we try to fit an over
generalized guideline or rubric to every problem. As we are born to judge and analyze,... Show

Debbie Purdy s Legal Case Study
Debbie Purdy s legal case illustrated a prime example of concerns over good quality of death. She
suffered from Multiple Sclerosis, a chronic disease that degenerates the body over time and attacks
the nervous central system. During her illness she launched a legal battle to clarify the law on
assisted suicideand in 2009 finally won a ruling allowing her husband to support her in ending her

with the reality of the disease reinforced (her) conviction that we need to change the law and allow
assisted dying when life is unbearable (Purdy, 2015).

The European Convention on Human Rights protects the value of life and upholding individual
s right to life. However, this core value creates difficulties for the right of self determination, this
is because the right to life constricts a person s right to make autonomous decisions about his/her
life (Tiensuu, 2015, p251). Which results in a paradox for the rights based argument the
convention is primarily based on. The idea behind having a right is that one can waive this right,
if one wished. Therefore, with assisted dying one is making a request to waive his/hers right to
life, and this should be respected (Singer, 1993, p195). A democratic government, as discussed in
Chapter One, should protect all liberties; this includes the liberty to make decisions about the end
of your life. Until 1961, committing suicide in England and Wales was considered a criminal act.
The decriminalisation of suicide is used by supporters of euthanasia as a tool to highlight the
inconsistencies and discriminatory nature of the legal system. If an individual is unable to take his

Disadvantages Of Acupuncture
In traditional chinese medicine, ancient Chinese doctors were the ones that first introduced the
concept of a meridian system, a system of distribution networks all over our body to transport
blood and Qi, as well as connect tissues, internal organs and reflect the pathological changes of
these internal organs. Hence, the meridian system can also be linked to other traditional Chinese
medicineconcepts such as Qi, the fundamental substance that serves as vital energy necessary for
maintaining our life and health and also the concept of Yin and Yang. The distribution network or
pathways can be pictured as a giant web in our body that link different areas together, supplying Qi
to the parts that require it.

The Avoidance Of Eating Cattle
Have you ever craved a nice juicy piece of steak, but had to settle for the dry asparagus? This is
what Hindu people who follow their cultural traditions have to deal with. The food practice that I
am discussing is the avoidance of eating cattle in Hinduism. I will specifically focus on moral
issues regarding killing and eating cattle in the religionas compared to other moral religious codes.
In Western society most cultures don t see a moral issue when eating beef. I know my family eats
beef at least twice a week so I was always surrounded by the meat product. The reason I chose to
write about why Hindus don t eat cattle is because my roommate is Hindu and follows this cultural

Despite popular belief cattle are not worshipped in Hinduism, but rather held in high esteem. There
are a couple different historic reasons why Hindus don t eat cow. The first being that during the
development of the religion cattle were extremely expensive to slaughter as they produced a lot
of other food and work and were more valuable left alive. It was financially impractical for early
Hindus to eat cattle. Additionally, cattle were seen as the appropriate gift for Brahmins who
were the high priests of Hinduism at the time. It eventually came to be seen that killing some
cattle was almost equivalent to insulting a Brahmin in their culture, meaning that there was a
strong taboo against Lastly, the development and subsequent spread of Jainism in the region,
which expressively forbids harming any type of animal, may have influenced early Hindus not
to eat cattle. Many rural Hindu families own a dairy cow which greatly assists them in their way
of life. Due to the value of life placed on cattle in Hinduism there is a moral concern regarding
killing the animal. One that is not commonly held in Western religions in our lives today. The
cow is one of the greatest symbols for selfless giving by providing us milk, curds, ghee butter,
urine, and dong and these are all used in Hindu worship also. The fact that products that the cow
produces are so important not only to the Hindu way of life, but also to

National Girl Child Day The Voice of Tomorrow
Forty Six years ago, on January 24, India got her First Lady Prime Minister Mrs. Indira Gandhi.
The nation of male dominance stood standstill in the awe of the power of this one lady whose
determination spoke volumes. Today, India stands high in the race of urbanization but in the genre
of social development, it is away behind. It is an irony in this country that where mother is
worshipped as Mother Divine, there is domestic violence. In a country where Kumari Puja is done,
there is female foeticide.
It is in this need to raise public awareness, the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government
declared to observe January 24 as the National Girl Child Day in 2009. This day will be celebrated
every year till there is a gender balance in the country and till the time we match the required sex
ratio, said Renuka Chowdhury, then Minister of State for Women and Child Development1.
According to a United Nations survey in 2007, about 2000 unborn girls are illegally aborted
each day in India. The national average of sex ratio is 927 females to 1000 males with states like

A first distinction is between experienced and remembered well being. Experienced well being
depends on moment by moment reports, usually of pleasure or pain, and remembered well being is
reported subsequently, and is hence based on memory. A second distinction relates to the time span
of the emotion or event being experienced or remembered. For experienced well being, the time
span is momentary, but for remembered well being, the report can relate to a past moment (how did
you feel when something happened, or at noon), to the average for any particular event or time
period, whether yesterday, last week, your last holiday, your just finished colonoscopy, or to your
life as a whole these days. A third distinction is between evaluations and emotional reports. An
evaluation is inherently a judgment about something, while an emotional report is more simply the
description of an emotional state. (John F. Helliwell and Shun Wang, 2012)
The report found the following: в–Є Happier countries tend to be richer countries. But more
important for happiness than income are social factors like the strength of social support, the
absence of corruption and the degree of personal freedom. в–Є Over time as living standards have
risen, happiness has increased in some countries, but not in others (like for example, the United

Analysis Of Herbert Hoover s The Great Gatsby
This script presents as a historical, character driven drama that explores an interesting part of
Herbert Hoover s life as a secretary and mining scout in Australia. The tone is consistently dramatic
with a nice element of wit and humor. The era, culture, and time period feel authentic and
believable. The historical information feels well researched.
Hoover s goal to become rich and marry the woman of his dreams is well established and drives
Hoover s actions.
Will the story has the potential to be a compelling drama, the script would benefit from more
development, especially in the area of structure, pace, and tension.
First, the opening begins when Hoover is handing over his Presidency and then flashbacks back in
time. This is a workable structure, although the opening scene doesn t immediately grab the
attention of the audience. It s heavy with dialogue and doesn t highlight the emotion of Hoover.
The first act is driven by Hoover s quest for a job so that he can marry the woman he loves. The
first act is a bit repetitive in dialogue, as his friends repeatedly counsel him about meeting with
Lou s father and what to do and say. Hoover also tends to repeat his goal several times about
getting rich and marrying Lou (page 17 and page 20 are examples).
The second act is driven by Hoover s job in Australia. The concern about the second act is that there
s very little compelling tension to sustain the overall plot. The story requires stronger pivotal plot

of the most controversial calls in NFL history, robbing the Raiders of a win. The rule has since

New York Giants versus New England Patriots, Super Bowl XLII: And the Patriots make the list
once again, this time with a much different outcome. 16 0 in the regular season and 2 0 in the
playoffs for a grand record of 18 0 heading into the Super Bowl, the Patriots were eyeing
perfection. The Giants on the other hand barely snuck into their Wild Card slot. Easy win, right?
It was back and forth the whole game. Then, at the end, with the Patriots up 14 10, the Giants are
put into third long. Eli Manning takes the snap, gets grabbed by a few defensive linemen, breaks
free, and hurls the ball downfield, and David Tyree makes the best catch in NFL history. Plaxico
Burress s catch was just icing on the 18 1

Us Economy On Top Essay
The US should keep US economy on top when it comes to trade. This will provide people in our
country with better products and improve the overall standard of living. We would help poorer
and more underdeveloped countries than us that need assistance. Also, putting the US economy
on top will result in keeping peace with countries. Some say we will focus less on values and
more on resources and money and make other countries economy s weaker, but we will still hold
on to values unless they get in the way and we will actually help other economies by trading with
them even though the US is still on top. We should make sure the US economy is on top so we
can help the people in our country have better lives and help and keep peace with countries other
than us.
Putting the US economy on top will make the citizens of our country have better lives. The US
has more money and better resources, so people get better resources, like gas or electricity. We
can also get better products like food or cars. Americans buy the Subaru even though it is made in
Japan. It s one of the best cars in the world. Americans can also get the porsche even though it is
made in germany. It is another one of the best car brands. Sometimes the resources are even
cheaper like gas. When ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Promoting open trade with countries to the south of us, like Mexico, will reduce poverty in Latin
America and expand the market for US goods. Latin America could use our help, and if we go
through with focusing on american economics being on top, we can help them. We could also do
this with other countries in poverty. If our economy is good we will help other economies because
they will sell and buy products and resources to and from us that will make our economy greater
and they will use that money and those resources to make their economy better. The world is better

Syria Between The And Ottoman Empire
Another specific conflict area that this paper will examine is Syria. The area, today known as
Syria, is in a unique location which has made it subject to many empires, including the Roman and
Ottoman. Since the area has been at the center of history for thousands of years it is home to a
diverse ethnic and religious culture. Currently the country is home to Kurds, Armenians,
Assyrians, Christians, Druze, Alawite Shia and Arab Sunnis, the last of who make up a majority
of the Muslim population, (BBC). Prior to World War I, the area was under control of the Ottoman
Empire, after the war the empire was broken up and France took control of the area. In 1946,
France granted Syriaindependence, and the country has been dealing with political instability
ever since. From 1958 1961, Syria joined up with Egypt to create the United Arab Republic. The
following years brought about a succession of upheavals within the government. In the 1960 s the
Arab nationalist group, Baath, took over power, and in 1970 one of their leaders, Hafiz al ASAD,
took control, which brought about political stability. In 1967 there was a war taking place between
Israel and Syria, which resulted in Israel occupying a southwestern region of the country. In 1970,
Syria s neighbor of Lebanon broke out into civil war and Syria extended their military power into
that country. The Baath government has been known to be a strong authoritative power and has
powerful anti western policies in place that

Gender Roles In Colonial America
Gender Roles in Colonial America
Gender Roles were very important in Colonial America. Nowadays, young women are taught that
they could grow up and be whatever they want but it wasn t always this way. In Colonial times
women were limited in what they could do or even say. Although they had limitations, without the
roles they played many people wouldn t have survived. Gender Roles were passed from generation
to generation with many limitations for women. Despite these limitations, many women were
comfortable in their roles. The lifestyles of these women have directly impacted today s society in
the form of the feminist movement.
Gender Roles were forced upon people at a young age. Fathers would teach their sons how to be a
man which ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
On the contrary, some argue that women not only felt fulfilled by their roles in Colonial America,
but they even enjoyed them. They were not as impotent as they are made out to be. Without a
higher understanding of the Puritan culture, misconceptions have been made about the treatment of
women. Many women enjoyed their household tasks and cherished their time spent caring for
children. Post 1960s feminism has painted these women as miserable, oppressed, and discriminated
against. In her essay Leora Hall highlights a fact that many people may not know, Women were also
not required to submit to all men. A womanwas only called to submit to the decisions made by her
own husband, (Understanding Puritan Womanhood in Feminist America). Submission was a
common Puritan belief. The submission of a wife was apart of the divine will. The submission
of a wife was to honor her husband s role as the leader of the house, not to demean her or treat her
as a slave. Puritan relationships were built on love, which most often stems from respect. There
were no arranged marriages and couples courted before marriage. Courtship helped the couple test
the relationship and see if it had the potential to last. Most puritan women respected and loved their
husbands deeply, making it no problem for them to submit to them. Many say that Anne Bradstreet
was among these women. Her poem To My Dear and Loving Husband shows the depth of her love
and admiration for her

Midsummers Night Dream
How does the play within the play enhance your enjoyment of the rest of A Midsummer Night s
Dream? If not, why not? I would argue that A Midsummer Night s Dream is one of Shakespeare
s greatest comedies. Comedy is in abundance in A Midsummer Night s Dream, especially in the
play within the play . The play within the play is a key characteristic in A Midsummer Night s
Dream and deserves a thorough analysis as it holds a tight link to the main plot of this play. This
part of the play takes up most of act V and allows a cheerful and comical ending to the play. The
play within the play adds deeper meaning and understanding to the play as an entirety and it
mirrors certain aspects of the play as a whole. The play that group of... Show more content on

However puke gets mixed up and instead he anoints the eyes of Lysander therefore causing him
to fall in love with Helina, leaving Hermia without her beloved Lysander. Yet the Oberon soon
makes Puke correct his mistake and reunites the lovers correctly. Lysander and Hermia fall back
in love with the help of some more love juice. Helina eventually gets her wish. Demetrius is as in
love with her as she is in love is with him. As if there wasn t enough characters getting upset and
confused, Shakespeare also adds nearly an equal measure of confusion into the play within the
play . Just as the Athenian lovers were bewildered and fooled, so too was Pyramus. He
mistakenly believed that his love Thisbe has been killed by the lion. This almost exact
mirroring of the main themes and ideas of A Midsummer Night s Dream enhances the quality
and enjoyment of the play within the play and the entire play itself. The play within the play
gave me something to compare my views on A Midsummer Night s Dream against. The impact
that the play within the play has on the audience is very subtle yet it is a major link in the play
as a whole. When A Midsummer Night s Dream begins it has all the making of a tragedy. The
father who refuses to let her daughter wed the man she is in love with, who instead orders her to
marry a man who he sees fit. Hermias father wants her killed for disobeying her. The mention of

Odysseus Downfall
By putting his men in constant danger, resulting in all of his men dying, Odysseus demonstrates
the hallmark of a dreadful leader. In the episode The Cyclops, Odysseus leads his men into the
cave of polyphemus looking for a fight, because polyphemus is the child of Poseidon. In the
process of looking for a fight he loses quite a few men to the Cyclops, and after escaping continues
to egg polyphemus on by yelling in triumph at the Cyclops. Which almost leads to the crews
demise. After the Cyclops defeat Odysseusboasts, O Cyclops! Would you feast on my
companions?... How do you like the beating we gave you, you damned cannibal? (The Cyclops.
476). This demonstrates Odysseus being a dreadful leader because he puts his men into the danger
of being killed by the Cyclops, and risking their lives by proudly boasting to Polyphemus after
himself and the crew have already escaped.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The narrator speaks to the reader, Odysseus does not tell his men of Circe s last prophecy that he
will be the only survivor of their long journey (The Sirens; Scylla; and Charybdis. 715). This is
another demonstration of dreadful leadership due to the fact that Odysseus knows that all of his
men will die on their journey, but he does not share this information nor does he try to protect his
men; causing the result of his men dying. After leaving Aeolia for a second time, Odysseus and
his men are attacked by gigantic cannibals and escape to the home of the enchantress and goddess
Circe. Circe gets all of Odysseus s men drunk and proceeds to cast her magic on the men, So,
squealing, in they went. And Circe tossed them acorns, mast, and cornel berries fodder for hogs

Essay Roman Pool
Roman Pool
The private residence built by newspaper publisher William Randolph Hearst in San Simeon,
California is quite a site to behold. Originally named La Cuesta Encantada it is now often referred
to as Hearst Castle. It is located on a hilltop overlooking the Pacific Ocean in the Santa Lucia
Mountains. The estate took 28 years to build and includes the main house, guest houses, two pools,
and acres of gardens, terraces and walkways. Its rooms and gardens are decorated with an
impressive collection of antiques from around the world. One particularly interesting building is the
Roman Pool.

274.) Only guests of Hearst were allowed to use his pool whereas anyone could go into the Baths
of Caracalla. Both the Roman Pool and the baths could be used by men and women. The main
function of the pool and the baths was for recreation and socializing. Hearst s pool was not used for
bathing.
The Roman Pool is decorated from ceiling to floor with 1 square mosaic tiles. These glass tiles,
called smalti, are either colored (mainly blue or orange) or are clear with fused gold inside. The
intense colors and shimmering gold of the tiles combine to create a breathtaking effect. The
designs created by the tiles were developed by muralist Camille Solon. The inspiration for some
of these designs came from the 5 C. Mausoleum of Galla Placidia (Kastner, p. I 261.)
Galla Placidia was the daughter of Roman emperor Theodosius. She built a cruciform oratory for
her own mausoleum where she was to lie between her brother Honorius and her son Valentinian.
This monument to her is located in Ravenna, Italy (Hutton, p. 203.)
Hearst was affected by the beauty of the mosaics in the mausoleum and incorporated similar
styles into his Roman Pool. The walls of the mausoleum are marble but the vaulted arches are
composed of blue and gold smalti. The roofs and dome are covered with mosaics of night blue,
powdered with stars (Hutton, p. 204.) The Roman Pool is similar to the mausoleum with its blue
and gold color scheme and stylized star

Judge Gray s Argumentative Essay
To support his claims, Judge Gray cites two court cases: Gains v. Gains (1820) and Leaycraft v.
Simmons (1854). The first case states that testator intention was to destroy the will, but was
prevented from doing so. However, the testator s intention could not be substituted as revocation,
making the will still valid. The second case involves a testator who wanted to alter his will to
grant more gifts to the benefactor. But, the testator s son refused to give back the will for
alteration. It was decided that the will sustains its integrity since it was not altered or revoked.
These cases provide convincing proof for the dissent judge s arguments that since the will was not
revoked, the court should grant Elmer his inheritance. On the contrary,

Similarities Between John Brown And Nat Turner
John Brown was very similar to Nat Turner they both believed that they were chosen by god to
lead slaves into freedom and if that required a fight then that was what they had to do. John
Brown had a goal and that was to abolish slavery throughout the united states. The trouble in
Kansas began when the Nebraska Act was signed by President Pierce, this act engaged that
people make a determination on whether Kansas territory should be free or slave. In hopes that
Kansas would become free of slaves, the opposing side which was named Border Ruffians invaded
their territory and forced the pro slaveryelection. After John heard about the fear of Kansas
becoming a slave state and after also hearing that the Border Ruffians ransacked the town of

The Problem Of Food Waste
There are billions of people struggling every day to have enough to eat, and billions of tons of
food being tossed in the garbage, food waste is gaining increasing awareness as a serious
environmental and economic issue. Research shows that about 60 million metric tons of food is
wasted a year in the United States, with an estimated value of $162 billion. About 32 million
tons of it end up in landfills, at a cost of about $1.5 billion a year to local government this
economic crisis is worldwide! My research estimates that a third of all the food produced in the
world is never consumed, and the total cost of that food wastecould be as high as $400 billion a
year. The food discarded by retailers and consumers in the most developed countries would be
more than enough to feed all of the world s hungry people, but it is not just those countries that
have problems with food waste, it is also an issue in African countries like South Africa. The
problem is expected to grow worse as the world s population increases, unless actions are taken to
reduce the waste. Food waste is not only a social cost, but it contributes to growing environmental
problems like global warming, experts say, with the production of food consuming vast quantities
of water, fertilizer and land. The fuel that is burned to process, refrigerate and transport it also adds
to the environmental cost. Most food waste is thrown away in landfills, where it decomposes and
emits methane, a potent greenhouse gas.

  • 2. Security Measures And Encryption Standard Abstract Security is one of the primary concern in today s era.Lots of Cryptographic Schemes are evolved in order to accomplish this.Advanced encryption standard is one of the secure cryptographic schemes now a days. The Proposed architecture incorporates the AES 128 bit Algorithm, compares the features of Core AES and Pipelined AES (on the basis of device utilization summary). The design is synthesized on the device Vertex 5 using XilinxISE. Keywords component; formatting; style; styling; insert (key words) I.INTRODUCTION The large and growing number of internet and wireless communication users has led to an increasing demand of security measures and devices for protecting the user data transmitted over the unsecured network so that unauthorized persons cannot access it. The increasing need for Secured data communication has led to development of several cryptography algorithms [31]. Cryptography uses the encryption algorithm and a key to send confidential data through an insecure channel[26] There are mainly two types of encryption algorithms, private key (also called symmetric key) and public key. Private key algorithms involve only one key, both for encryption and decryption whereas, public key algorithms involve two keys, one for encryption and other for decryption [29]. The public key algorithm is complex and has very high computation time. Private key algorithm is simple and therefore, it is more suitable for faster implementation [30]. The AES (Advanced ... • 3. Trove Character Analysis How to properly build a character in Trove Have you ever asked a player on Trove what their power rank is and was astonished by their answer? Then this is how they got where they are and what you will need to get your character or character up to the desired level. The first thing you need to do when it comes to becoming a top Trovain player is to look at what gives the power to you as the player. There are three big things that make up your characters. The first one is the level of the character. Having a max level thirty character is one of the first things you need. The second is to keep your eye on your mastery, each level you add to your mastery you get power rank added to all your characters. Thus, bringing ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Another key factor you will notice as you are leveling up your character is you are unlocking gem slots. This is key to the power rank portion of Trove, and that s why you need to be level 30 because by doing so you will have unlocked all gem slots and allow you to insert the maximum number of gems onto that character. After talking about leveling and gems a little I will go in a little deeper in the matter. To make sure you can get into the desired portals as you level. Your face, hat, and weapon you should be changing out with the items you pick up from dungeons if it will give you more power rank. Your end gear type will be called Stellar gear but you will end up having to buy that from another player using the in game currency but that will be needed later. So, in the mean time you will focus on what gear you can find at the end of dungeons. This is also applied to the gems you will get from opening the gem boxes you receive for completing dungeons. You wantto equip the highest power ranked gem which is commonly received after opening seventy gem boxes. The prime goal of you leveling and stick on gear is to reach ten thousand power rank and be level thirty. You should be able to do such by leveling the radiant gems up to level fifteen that you will find in Uber eight world. Once you get into Uber nine world with your ten thousand power rank then you will need to change your game play a little on what gems you will equip ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Plant Kinship In Plants Plants are boring. That has been the belief of mankind for generations. Animals are obviously highly complex creatures with complex organ systems, and even more intricate organs like the brain. The animal brain is able to sense surroundings, detect eminent danger, form relationships with other animals, and recognize families. However, even without a brain, plants are capable of all this and more. For example, Parasitic plants such as the Dionaea muscipula are able to sense and trap their prey, the Mimosa pudica has the ability to sense touch and wilt, and plants like the Cuscuta Pentagona can sense volatile organic compounds (VOCs) from tomato plants to form a parasitic relationship (Biedrzycki M et al. 2010). Furthermore, some positive ways that plants exhibit communication includes kinship. As children, humans are taught to share their toys and food with their siblings. Plants it seems, have the same concept to ensure optimal growth and survival, as they act selflessly towards their relatives, share resources, and exhibit less competition and more cooperation with their kin. Plants are able to recognize fellow kin through responses to VOCs from relatives, and perform acts of altruismto kin by resource partitioning amongst siblings through rootallocation (Karban R et al. 2013). The current research on plantkinship and areas of future research will be discussed, as well the controversies surrounding this subject. Despite the debate on plant kinship, Volatile Organic ... • 5. Historical Significance Of Japanese History History: Prehistoric Japan dates back to circa 10,000 BCE where the roots of fishing and pottery making began; however, official Japanese history was first recorded in 1st century BCE (Japan, 2016). In the 1930 s and 40 s, Japan became more prominent in the global stage due to its participation in the attack on Pearl Harbor (1941) and the U.S. coordinated Hiroshima bombings (1945) during the World Wars (Japan, 2016). Since the 1950 s, Japan has been recognized as one of the strongest economies in the developing and globalizing world. The fact that Japan is an island has historically made it difficult to invade and has allowed the country to withstand conflict between other countries. This has been demonstrated in various imperialistic conflicts in certain parts of Asia. Places of Interest There are many notable places in Japan such as Mt. Fuji, Nachi Falls, Sagano Bamboo Forest, and Aogashima (Ma, 2015). These places have both historical significance and natural beauty. Mt. Fuji is one of the tallest volcanoes in Japan (UNESCO, 2013). Life evolves around the dormant volcano, as its large presence has become an icon and artistic muse for everyday life in Japan (Smithsonian Institution, 2013). Nachi Falls is an orange, Buddhist and Shinto shrine. It is accompanied by a 133 meter waterfall that has contributed to religious development in the area for the past centuries (Japan guid.com, 2016). Lastly, Aogashima is an active volcanic island made up of a volcano ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. The International Security Threat Report The International Security Threat Report provides data on cybersecurity attacks and threats throughout 2012. The report shows that there was a 42% increase in targeted attacks (page 10). Although the types of attacks have been evolving, the number of people affected and the amount of damage has increased. Cyber attacks have evolved in such a way that allows them to be a large threat for citizens, businesses, and governments. Cyber attacks have been putting the privacy and information of citizens at risk through mobile malware. From 2011 to 2012 the amount of mobile malware increased by 58% (page 12). The mobile malware was used to steal the the user s information 32% of the time (page 33). This is especially dangerous considering people increasingly use their phones to store personal information. Cell phones are tied to the owner s phone contract, which offers an additional way for the hacker to cause financial damage to the phone s owner. Cell phone users can decrease the risk of having their private information stolen and their device compromised by installing securitysoftware on their cell phones, but that does not get rid of the risk altogether. Social media has also increased the security threat for citizens. In the past cyber criminals and spammers have attempted to steal information and scam users through spam emails, however, because of the increasing popularity of social media networks, cyber criminals and spammers have been using emails less and ... The Passionate Shepherd to His Love and The Nymph s Reply to the Shepherd: A comparison The Passionate Shepherd to His Love was written by Christopher Marlowe. The poem describes a shepherd s plea to someone he loves urging them to live with him. Marlowe uses imagery to describe the scenery around the shepherd and his love. The shepherd tries to convince her how happy they will be, surrounded by mountain yields and groves in stanza one. Marlowe does not only use imagery in his poem but he also describes the aroma And a thousand fragrant posies. He creates a tranquil atmosphere by describing the harmonious sound in the second and third stanzas. Melodious birds sing madrigals. In the third stanza the... However she tries to bring him to his senses and make him realize that things do change and nothing is permanent. The flowers do fade and wanton fields To wayward Winter reckoning yields. In the quotation above she is expressing the idea that when winter comes the flowers will no longer be in their full bloom. Again in the fourth stanza the nymph tells the shepherd that beds of roses and posies will not last in winter. Sir Walter Ralegh uses the nymph to make the point that spring changes to autumn as youth changes to old age and because of this she will not live with the shepherd. This conveys the impermanence of nature and by implication the impermanence of love. In comparison with the shepherd s description it is a more brutal but realistic portrayal of love. The Passionate Shepherd to His Love is an idealistic poem with fairytale images of country life whilst Sir Walter Ralegh s poem parodies the style of a love letter. The poems are similar in that they are connected by a question and answer form. Both poems have similar structures as they both have six stanzas and rhyming couplets. The rhyming couplets stress the last word of the sentence drawing attention to them helping the reader to understand the poem. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 10. The Case Of Hill Chief Constable Of West Yorkshire 1989 TORT LAW ASSIGNENT INTRODUCTION This assignment will be explaining various areas of tort law. But mostly will be dealing with the rule in the case of Hill Chief Constable of West Yorkshire 1989. This assignment will identify the nature of tortious liability and the range of activities to which the law of tort may be applied. Tort is a civil wrong which is done to an individual. If a civil wrong is done to an individual the law provides a remedy where the individual takes the wrongdoer to court. According to Winfield and Jojowicz negligence is a breach of a legal duty to take care resulting in damage. There are three Eras of negligence which are: 1.Neighbour principle this principle was brought in the of Donoghue v Stevenson(1932) where ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Secondly, if the first question is answered affirmatively, it is necessary to consider whether there are any considerations which ought to negative, or to reduce or limit the scope of the duty or the class of person to whom it is owed or the damages to which a breach of it may give rise. 3.Three stage test: foreseeability, proximity, fair, just and reasonable Caparo v Dickman (1990) 1990 2010. In this stage, under the Caparo test the claimant must make sure and establish that the harm was reasonably predictable, that there was a relationship of proximity and if it is fair just and reasonable to enforce a duty of care. Negligence always involves establishing whether a duty of care exists and who has that duty. A good example is shown in the case of Donoghue v Stevenson 1932. This case introduced the law of negligence and the neighbour test. In this case a friend took Mrs Donoghue went to cafe with a friend and bought her an ice cream and ginger beer. The ginger beer came in a bottle which wasn t clear enough to see the contents inside. After drinking half of her ginger beer she then poured the rest on top of the ice cream when a discomposed snail came out from the bottle. As a result Mrs Donoghue fell sick and suffered personal injury. She then went on to claim against the company that produces ginger beer. It was held that her claim was successful and therefore the neighbour test was established. Lord Atkins commented ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 11. The Great Chilean Earthquake On Chile Earthquakes throughout the world have devastated certain areas of the world, some places more than others. One area of the world that has been absolutely devastated by many earthquakes throughout time is the South American country, Chile. While there have been many very substantial earthquakes in Chile, one stands out most, The Great Chilean Earthquake. On May 22, 1960, The Great Chilean Earthquake hit Chile. This is the largest earthquake ever recorded with a magnitude of 9.5 out of 10.0. It absolutely traumatized the country of Chile and surrounding areas. Just the earthquake itself wasn t the only thing doing damage, the quake caused monstrous tsunamis across the coast of Chile and it even caused tsunamis in Hawaii, Japan, and the Philippines. For an earthquake to not only cause mass destruction to the area of the quake, but to strongly affect other places, just goes to show how powerful The Great Chilean Earthquake was. Not only has Chile have to deal with this great earthquake, Chile has been hit with almost 30 8.0 earthquake throughout time that we know of. Chile also has 2 of the top 10 biggest earthquakes ever recorded. The Great Chilean Earthquake and the the amount of big earthquakes Chile has to deal with, definitely affects how the Chilean people live everyday, they have to live in fear that the next Big One could devastate their country again. Flies Away With Bait Tips Grilling is a wondrous experience: mouth watering food sizzling on the barbie, white clouds floating gently across the vast blue sky, and a barrage of flies and other insects doing their best to annoy everyone. Grilling outdoors is more adventurous than cooking indoors, and it s also an opportunity for pests to earn their bad reputation. Fortunately, the three tips below will help you keep the bugs at bay so you can grill in peace! 1. Keep Flies Away With Bait Traps Swatting flies every few minutes is an exercise in frustration, and it s not exactly sanitary to splatter flies all over the food containers, benches, and cooking surfaces that the unhygienic insects frequently land on. Fortunately, fly bait stations are readily available and effective. These traps are filled with food that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Keep Mosquitoes Away With Citronella Candles Mosquitoes may not be interested in your food, but they are interested in feeding on you. Spreading several deadly diseases, mosquitoes are more than just a nuisance they are a potential threat to your health. That being said, deterring mosquitoes is easy with citronella candles. These candles are created using the oil of citronella, a type of grass that mosquitoes loathe. Use this to your advantage by forming a barrier around your grill with citronella candles. Place them every four feet for optimal coverage. Then those pesky mosquitoes will be forced to find another BBQ to crash. 3. Keep Ants Away With Powdered Charcoal Now that you ve made a barrier to keep mosquitoes away, you ll want to make one for ants, too. This can be done using charcoal. More specifically, powdered charcoal. Yes, you read that correctly. Charcoal is great for grilling food and keeping ants away from that food. I don t know, Alice answered. Then, said the cat, It doesn t matter. Lewis Carroll, Alice in Wonderland. This is a quote from Alice and Wonderland, by Lewis Carroll, as said before. Basically what happens in the quote was Alice started walking and then came to a fork in the road. Now, she does not know her way around Wonderland, so she sees this cat and says to herself, This cat probably talks, so she asks the cat where she should go. The cat then asks where she wants to go, and, of course, Alice says she does not know because she has never been to Wonderland before, and is hoping that the cat will tell her a preferable direction. This quote could relate to my life because all the time, I feel like I have to make so many choices in life, and I try to ask other people what I should do. Instead of just choosing for me, they say, Well, what do you want? and I usually am very wishy washy and I say that I do not know, and they say, basically, what the Cheshire Cat said to Alice. Likewise, this quote relates to The Road Less Traveled On because, in the poem, Robert Frost talks about two paths, and he chose to take the road less traveled on, which means that he was given two choices, and he chose the less popular one. Over the course of the novel, Hagar reflects back on the memories that have made up her life. Hagar s loneliness and depression are self induced and brought on by her pride, lack of emotion, stubbornness and the ignorance which she has towards anyone s opinion but her own. The qualities of Hagar are identical with those possessed by the stone angel monument and paralleled by Laurence many times throughout the novel. The angel was certainly not a suitable statue to mark the death of Mrs. Currie as it was uncharacteristic of her. (Laurence 242) Hagar makes love to Bram and never lets him know that she enjoyed it. He never knew. I never let him know. I never spoke aloud, and I made certain the trembling was all inner. (Laurence 81) She could never allow others to know how she felt. Hagar remained emotionless throughout her life. When Bram dies Hagar does not even dare to shed a tear. But when we d bury Bram and come home again and lighted lamps for the evening, it was John who cried, not I. Her inability to express emotion led to her relentless ignorance of others and their opinions. Hagar Shipley is a very stubborn woman at the age of ninety. • 16. The Pardoner, a Symbol of Greed in Geoffrey Chaucer’s... Geoffrey Chaucer s famous medieval classic, The Canterbury Tales, offers its readers a vast array of characters. This God s plenty features numerous unique and challenging individuals, but there is one specifically who stands out as particularly interesting. The immoral Pardoner, who, in a sense, sells away his soul for the sake of his own avarice, puzzles many modern readers with his strange logic. Already having laid his considerable guilt upon the table, this corrupted agent of the Church attempts to pawn off his counterfeit relics for a generous price. His actions are slightly troubling and mysterious, but his shameless misdeed is easily explainable if a reader chooses to interpret the man as a symbol rather than a fully formed human... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... A dishonest clergyman could easily prey on the insecurities of the population in order to profit from the sale of false relics. The Pardoner, similarly, is only fixed on what [he stands] to win (PP 75). Perhaps this suggests that the corrupted character has little else on his mind, wishing only to cheat the devout and turn a greedy profit; he thinks of nothing but of his personal gain. He won t do any labor with [his] hands, but his greedy heart intends to live the life of the most well to do (PP 114). The Pardoner s sermons, preaching the ills of avarice, condemn the sin of which he is guiltiest. Radix malorum est cupiditas, is the general theme of the Pardoner s sermons, meaning that greed is the root of all evil (PP 6). In essence, evil is born from the foolishness of greed, and playing the part of Greed, the Pardoner is a fool. His sermon drips with the revelation of his own guilt, for he can think of little else other than his next financial gain, and so, he thoughtlessly speaks of his own wicked guilt. Then, oddly, the Pardoner has the audacity to pitch a sale, offering forgiveness for pennies, silver brooches, spoons, or rings (PT 424). He is incapable of doing otherwise. After all, the Pardoner is the symbol and purest form of guilt; his avarice is too great a temptation to steer him from making his eloquent sales pitch to the traveling pilgrims. It is inevitable ... • 18. Analysis Of Mise En Scene In The Cabinet Of Dr Caligari A scene analysis of Cesare s awakening The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari by Robert Wiene In The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari, Robert Wiene cleverly uses mise en scene and cinematography to add to the eeriness and originality in the scene of Cesare s awakening. The scene is important to the overall film because it instills the viewer to believe that there will be a connoting between Cesare and Alan. The purpose can be seen in the reverse shot sequence at the end of the scene in the dialogue How long do I have to live? Till dawn tomorrow. The scene is based highly on use of expressionistic credit design and stylization of acting through exaggerations. Through the theatrical design set, Robert Wiene builds tension and drama to the scene and draws the views attention to the constructed nature of the film. The awakening scene in The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari is filmed in a theatrical manner, where the set is on a stage, with distorted curtains and secretive shadows. The scene is carefully centered in the middle to make the viewer less distracted of movement within the frame. The stage curtains work in favor of the framing and like the clever set; the costume and makeup fit the bizarre arrangement and design of the scene. The men in the audience are all dressed in gloomy and flowing long cloaks. To accentuate Cesare s tall and lanky figure he is dressed in a fitting black leotard and his dark character is obscure in darkness. His dead like face is covered thickly in heavy make up and his expression is as a warning to the viewer. Caligari, on the other hand, has an eccentric look with crazy white hair and glasses. When looking at the understanding of the inner frame in the scene, Cesare s expressive actions contribute significantly. The state of trance is revealed by his sleek figure and androgynous appearance in contrast to the other characters that are moving unusually quickly. By repeated close ups of Cesare s hypnotic expression and tranquil figure forces the viewer to identify with him and allows us to understand that he is restrained to react only from Dr. Caligari s commands. Cesare is shot from a high angle ushering the viewer to join into his shocking state. The close up of Cesare s exaggerated dark eyes, pallid ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Originally GloFish were developed by scientists in Singapore to be living pollution sensors as they would only glow when in the presence of pollutants.7 The Commission s ban on GloFish highlights the controversy over genetically modified organisms and how public opinion can be swayed by the beliefs of others whether those beliefs are based on science or not. This paper will focus first on what genetic modification means and then will look at the pros and cons of genetically modified foods. Finally, the author s opinion of the issue of GMO food will conclude the paper. Wikipedia defines genetic modification as the mutation, insertion or deletion of genes. Social And Natural Resource Issues For this week s forum, I hold the view of a normative pluralistic which relates the environmental and natural resource issue of irreversible changes caused by negative consequences for a healthy planet. Normative pluralism is considered not to be as radical as the belief of a fundamentalist pluralist. Formally, a normative pluralist assumes that there is a plurality of bearers of value (Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy, 2011). The irreversible changes caused by negative consequences for a healthy planet can be associated will the failure to widely produce agreements globally to tackle environmental and natural resourceissues. In the article, Global Green Pluralism, pluralistic values discussed that support my argument are comprised of the division of labor amongst governments and nongovernmental actors to govern the environment. Some of the values that play a key role in the overall support the creation of an effective environmental and/or natural resource policy to preserve the environment consist of actors /governance components, agenda setting, networks, negotiation, compliance, implementation, and resilience. A brief detailed description of each value is listed below. The European Convention on Human Rights protects the value of life and upholding individual s right to life. However, this core value creates difficulties for the right of self determination, this is because the right to life constricts a person s right to make autonomous decisions about his/her life (Tiensuu, 2015, p251). Which results in a paradox for the rights based argument the convention is primarily based on. The idea behind having a right is that one can waive this right, if one wished. Therefore, with assisted dying one is making a request to waive his/hers right to life, and this should be respected (Singer, 1993, p195). Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Despite popular belief cattle are not worshipped in Hinduism, but rather held in high esteem. There are a couple different historic reasons why Hindus don t eat cow. The first being that during the development of the religion cattle were extremely expensive to slaughter as they produced a lot of other food and work and were more valuable left alive. It was financially impractical for early Hindus to eat cattle. Additionally, cattle were seen as the appropriate gift for Brahmins who were the high priests of Hinduism at the time. It eventually came to be seen that killing some cattle was almost equivalent to insulting a Brahmin in their culture, meaning that there was a strong taboo against Lastly, the development and subsequent spread of Jainism in the region, which expressively forbids harming any type of animal, may have influenced early Hindus not to eat cattle. Many rural Hindu families own a dairy cow which greatly assists them in their way of life. Due to the value of life placed on cattle in Hinduism there is a moral concern regarding killing the animal. • 38. Analysis Of Herbert Hoover s The Great Gatsby This script presents as a historical, character driven drama that explores an interesting part of Herbert Hoover s life as a secretary and mining scout in Australia. The tone is consistently dramatic with a nice element of wit and humor. The era, culture, and time period feel authentic and believable. The historical information feels well researched. Hoover s goal to become rich and marry the woman of his dreams is well established and drives Hoover s actions. Will the story has the potential to be a compelling drama, the script would benefit from more development, especially in the area of structure, pace, and tension. First, the opening begins when Hoover is handing over his Presidency and then flashbacks back in time. This is a workable structure, although the opening scene doesn t immediately grab the attention of the audience. It s heavy with dialogue and doesn t highlight the emotion of Hoover. The first act is driven by Hoover s quest for a job so that he can marry the woman he loves. The first act is a bit repetitive in dialogue, as his friends repeatedly counsel him about meeting with Lou s father and what to do and say. Hoover also tends to repeat his goal several times about getting rich and marrying Lou (page 17 and page 20 are examples). The second act is driven by Hoover s job in Australia. The area, today known as Syria, is in a unique location which has made it subject to many empires, including the Roman and Ottoman. Nowadays, young women are taught that they could grow up and be whatever they want but it wasn t always this way. In Colonial times women were limited in what they could do or even say. Although they had limitations, without the roles they played many people wouldn t have survived. Gender Roles were passed from generation to generation with many limitations for women. On the contrary, some argue that women not only felt fulfilled by their roles in Colonial America, but they even enjoyed them. They were not as impotent as they are made out to be. Without a higher understanding of the Puritan culture, misconceptions have been made about the treatment of women. Many women enjoyed their household tasks and cherished their time spent caring for children. Post 1960s feminism has painted these women as miserable, oppressed, and discriminated against. In her essay Leora Hall highlights a fact that many people may not know, Women were also not required to submit to all men. A womanwas only called to submit to the decisions made by her own husband, (Understanding Puritan Womanhood in Feminist America). Submission was a common Puritan belief. The submission of a wife was apart of the divine will. The submission of a wife was to honor her husband s role as the leader of the house, not to demean her or treat her as a slave. Puritan relationships were built on love, which most often stems from respect. There were no arranged marriages and couples courted before marriage. Courtship helped the couple test the relationship and see if it had the potential to last. Most puritan women respected and loved their husbands deeply, making it no problem for them to submit to them. Many say that Anne Bradstreet was among these women. • 51. The Problem Of Food Waste There are billions of people struggling every day to have enough to eat, and billions of tons of food being tossed in the garbage, food waste is gaining increasing awareness as a serious environmental and economic issue. Research shows that about 60 million metric tons of food is wasted a year in the United States, with an estimated value of $162 billion. About 32 million tons of it end up in landfills, at a cost of about $1.5 billion a year to local government this economic crisis is worldwide! My research estimates that a third of all the food produced in the world is never consumed, and the total cost of that food wastecould be as high as $400 billion a year. The food discarded by retailers and consumers in the most developed countries would be more than enough to feed all of the world s hungry people, but it is not just those countries that have problems with food waste, it is also an issue in African countries like South Africa. The problem is expected to grow worse as the world s population increases, unless actions are taken to reduce the waste. Food waste is not only a social cost, but it contributes to growing environmental problems like global warming, experts say, with the production of food consuming vast quantities of water, fertilizer and land. The fuel that is burned to process, refrigerate and transport it also adds to the environmental cost. Most food waste is thrown away in landfills, where it decomposes and emits methane, a potent greenhouse gas. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
