Nearly seven years ago, when I started working for the local DirecTV installation company, it
wasn't exactly a dream come true. I had the aptitude for it, having worked previously as a home
theatre installer back in Kansas City, but this job was much easier by comparison. What made this

Why I Want A Job
During the summer I had made a goal to get my first job. The reason why I wanted a job was
because I wanted to make my own money because I didn 't to depend on my family and I had lot's of
spare time because I only had one class during the summer after that class I would have spare time.
One day my friend Erwin who had been working at Carl's Jr tells me if I wanted to get a job and I
would forsure get the job if he recommended me.so he asks me if I wanted to get an interview
which I responded with a yes because this was a guarnteed job. So I tell him that I would like an
interview and he said that we would talk to his manager the following day. So the next day he texts
me saying he wanted me to come for the interview the following week. So the day comes and I go
to the interview and I meet the manager whose name is Jesus. The interview went by fast he
wanted to know if I could work from certain hours which I said that I could also he explained to
me that I was going to get the job because I was recommended by one of his best workers which
was my friend Erwin. So just like that I got my first job most of the time the manager was talking
and all I had to do was answer a few questions. Finally I would have something during my spare
time as well as make money which made me excited because I was thinking already of that first
paycheck

opportunity to gain a job, especially through their HuskyJobs system, a database that tells students
any job openings or internships all over campus. The jobs with the most availability on campus are
in the library, housing and food services, department of recreational sports, the university bookstore,
and the UW foundation – student calling system. However, some of the academic apartments also
offer internships to students, and those positions are very competitive since it gives a boost to one's

They have rowing, golf, cross country, and beach volleyball, just to name a few of the sports that
are available at the school. Currently, their football team is doing pretty well, as they are seeded
in the top 25 of Division I football and are in the hunt to go to the BCS playoffs. In addition to
intercollegiate sports, UW also offers intramural sports and club sports. For their intramural
sports, they offer everything from basketball to softball to soccer, but one thing that did catch my
eye was that they have a 6 feet and under intramural basketball league, which is something I had
never seen before. For their club sports, they are student led organizations that compete against
other colleges. They club sports that they offer are sports that are in demand by the students, and
not all of the common, classic sports are available as club sports. For example, they don't offer
basketball as a club sport, nor softball, but they do offer water polo, ice hockey, and kayaking,
which must be sports that have a large enough student backing in order to be club sports. Club
sports are competitive, as they do compete against other colleges, so I don't think I am good enough
to play a club sport, but I would definitely like to get involved in intramural sports when I go to
college, since they sounds fun and a good way to socialize. Greek Life at UW is relatively popular,
