categorized based on gender. Starting from birth males and females are assigned roles based are
expected to act and adhere to stereotypes given to that sex. Only in recent times have either gender
stepped outside of the gender boundaries. However, despite the new sense of individuality society
tries to restrict them to gender archetypes. Males are expected to be masculine and females are

In 2010, my cousin went on a hiking trip with her Residential Treatment Center (RTC). On that
trip, she collapsed and wasn t taken to the hospital until a couple weeks later. By that time, we

Two Guvnors production in 2013, and the feelings of chaos, shock, anarchic laughter and
anticipation sparked my interest of exploring this play, and why its lazzi and improvisation
added to the heightened experience I had, whist viewing this performance. I became interested
in how much the One Man, Two Guvnors play written by Richard Bean, was based of the
traditional Commedia dell Arte play The Servant of Two Masters written by Carlo Goldoni. I
planned to explore the extent of how much the play was improvised and the extent of how much
it was scripted and planned. I looked at why Commedia dell Arte used improvisation and the
approach of incorporating improvisation and lazzi into a performance. I went about doing so by
comparing the characters and the scripts of Bean s One Man, Two Guvnors to Goldoni s The
Servant of Two Masters. I researched the role of Improvisation and Lazzi in traditional commedia
dell Arte and compared it to its role in One Man, Two Guvnors. I decided to carry out my research
by surveying audience members who had viewed the production of One Man, Two Guvnors , and
finding out how the incorporation of improvisation and lazzi heightened the experience for the

throughout the United States trying to escape the rigors of his old life. An issue arises for
Paradise because every time he begins to settle down somewhere the place turns old and his desire
for movement returns. Paradise s desire for movement eventually becomes second nature to him.
He thrives on the uncertainties of the road and the people he sees only get passing reactions and
glances at him from other people on the road. Throughout his journeys, trouble always finds

I don t know about you, but I don t often star at myself in the mirror, studying my own face. Does
anybody? The longest amount of time I spend looking at myself is when I m shaving, and even
then, I m just concentrating on not being a klutz and cutting myself open. I m not being down on

child maltreatment and gender roles. It is based on the narrative of Ruth Anne Bone Boatright

Discussion: In part A the melting points I observed were similar to those of my classmates. During
the first trial the temperature was climbing quickly and the Biphenyl melted quickly. During the
next two trials the Mel temp was set at a lower setting and our melting point was closer to the
known melting point.
Conclusion: I have determined that Unknown E is Acetanilide. The melting point of the mixtures
was very close to the melting point of plain Unknown E. The 2 Chloracetamide and Unknown E s
mixture had to high of a melting point. Based on my results and observations I would conclude that
Unknown E is Acetanilide.
