Business Project Proposal
Proposed Initiative I would like to propose a Digital Partner consisting of: 1.Budget Advisor: to
analyze customer financial patterns and provide tailored budget advice, including forecasts, raising
financial awareness and avoiding loan defaulting. Feedback will be presented as narratives using a
solution similar to Quill to transform data insights into human readable information and
recommendations 2.Personal Online/Mobile Navigator: Personalized chatbot to help users navigate
applications more effectively using a messaging or voice interface. Features include saving most
common actions and activities and providing, through NLG, real time assistance, language/dialect
settings and ability to interact by voice or text. These chatbots... Show more content on

Notwithstanding, it will also contribute to cost reductions associated with customer support and
loan adjudication; thus, the required investment can be partially offset by cost reductions in these
activities. AI Technology Selection and Technical Requirements The AI technologies that should be
integrated are as follows: 1.Machine learning: to analyze vast amounts of data and provide insights
2.Natural language processing and generation: both for customer interaction (chatbots) and to
translate insight into human readable recommendations 3.Chatbots solutions: to help users to
navigate website and mobile apps more effectively Some technical considerations are: 1.Platform:
whether to implement the solution using open source platforms or partner with AI vendors
including evaluation of requirements such as customization, speed and in house knowledge as well
as the integration of the required parallel processing into existing infrastructure. Other
considerations include platform scalability and performance. 2.Subject Matter Experts: SMEs are
key to evaluate algorithms and ensure recommendations are fact based and not subject to biases.
Additionally, process experts need to identify exposed business processes and what are the key
parameters to enhance customer experience. In both cases, they should participate in POCs to
assess vendors and products 3.Technology Experts: to effectively manage and maintain AI
solutions. They

Human Tooth, Tooth Decay
human tooth , tooth decay

Human tooth
Teeth of humans are small, calcified, whitish structures found in the mouth that are used to break
down food. The roots of teeth are embedded in the maxilla (upper jaw) or the mandible (lower
jaw) and are covered by gums. Teeth are made of multiple tissues of varying density and hardness.
Teeth are among the most distinctive (and long lasting) features of mammal species. Humans, like
other mammals, are diphyodont, meaning that they develop two sets of teeth. The first set (also
called the baby , milk , primary , and deciduous set) normally starts to appear at about six months
of age, although some babies are born with one or more visible teeth, known as neonatal ... Show

Depending on the extent of tooth destruction, various treatments can be used to restore teeth to
proper form, function, and aesthetics, but there is no known method to regenerate large amounts of
tooth structure. Instead, dental health organizations advocate preventive and prophylactic
measures, such as regular oral hygiene and dietary modifications, to avoid dental caries.
Causes
There are four main criteria required for caries formation: a tooth surface (enamel or dentin);
caries causing bacteria; fermentable carbohydrates (such as sucrose); and time. The caries
process does not have an inevitable outcome, and different individuals will be susceptible to
different degrees depending on the shape of their teeth, oral hygiene habits, and the buffering
capacity of their saliva. Dental caries can occur on any surface of a tooth that is exposed to the
oral cavity, but not the structures that are retained within the bone. All caries occurs from acid
demineralization that exceeds saliva and fluoride remineralization, and almost all acid
demineralization occurs where food (containing carbohydrate like sugar) is left on teeth. Though
most trapped food is left between teeth, over 80% of cavities occur inside pits and fissures on
chewing surfaces where brushing, fluoride, and saliva cannot reach to remineralize the tooth as
they do on easy to reach surfaces that develop few cavities.

Walmart Corporate Greed
General Motors, Ford, Nike, Boeing, Walmart. What do all these companies have in common?
Your parents are paying them millions of dollars each year through the government. To this day we
continue to see major corporations avoid paying their taxes through loopholes such as tax havens.
Some of the most well known companies to you and your families, Walmart and McDonald s, have
taken your taxmoney from the government because they pay their employees so little that they
cannot afford any social services. And the big banks of Wall Street are getting bigger and bigger
each day, so big that a collapse would destroy our economy. We are the ones paying for the
corporate greed and the rich are getting richer because major corporations are not paying... Show

An article from The Chicago Reporter discussed the implications of this issue. Low wage
employers put a burden on taxpayers, who pick up the cost of health care, food and housing
assistance for their workforce (Black, 2015). Not only is this driving down the consumer demand,
but it is driving families of the workers down below the poverty line and onto the streets, while the
rich are getting richer. It is not our responsibility to pay for the workers social benefits through
our tax money. It is the responsibility of the mega corporations who refuse to pay their workers
a living wage to give these rights to their workers. Legislation such as the Cook County
Responsibility Business Act will work to force these employers to give in through a raise in the
amount they must pay their workers so that they can afford the most essential social programs. But
this is not enough. We need to raise the minimum wage of all low income workers in America if
we want to lessen the great disparity of wealth in this country. The ugly truth is, a large number of
these corporations choose increasing their profits over the conditions of their employees as long as
the government turns a blind eye to the

Alpha-Beta Exercise Hr595 Essay
Journal Entry 3 Alpha Beta Exercise Beta Group BACKGROUND The name of this negotiation
exercise is ALPHA BETA. The goal of this negotiation is to stay within character and gain as
much information from the other side as possible. The uncertainties confronted were how to lead
the negotiation as a Betan. The skills that we will try to exhibit are trying to embody the style and
culture of the Betans. Our opponents, Alpha Inc., were prepared with their demands. They seemed
to have researched our culture and were not susceptible to them. We did not reach a settlement, our
goal was to remain in character and gather as much information as possible. ANALYSIS Our

The face saving behavior that was displayed was when we offered to pay for a limo and hotel for
Alpha so that we have more time. POST NEGOTIATION REFLECTION In this negotiation, we
learned that it is important to research your opponent, to understand their culture, not only of
their country or backgrounds, but also their company culture. When we are able to understand
our opponent s way of thinking about business and doing business we can then understand how
to approach a negotiation situation with them. In this exercise, we learned that it is difficult for
us to adjust when it involves breaking or acting in a way opposite of what we are accustomed to.
We also learned that although my classmates live in the same country as we do, their
upbringings may have similarities to their origin country and will therefore help them to
communicate and adjust to that country s norms and standards. We were surprised how we
were able to stay in character although it was hard and it was surprising how people responded
when they were unaware of your intentions and strategies. If we had to do this exercise again,
what we can do is do more research on our opponents so that we would have an idea of what to
expect in the negotiation table. LAST ENTRY By taking this course, we have learned the different
types of negotiations and the strategies to be used in

Fundamentals Of Juvenile Delinquency
This assignment will illustrate that by understanding the fundamentals of combatting juvenile
delinquency and applying the theories to command practice will enhance the overall knowledge of
the material. This document will demonstrate the juvenile delinquency reduction efforts and
programs currently in operation in the Tampa area community. In addition, I will propose ways to
improve the Tampa area community s juvenile delinquencyprevention efforts. Next, this paper will
attempt to apply the main sociological theories that underlie these interventions that shape the
community s public policy for delinquency prevention. Finally, this paper will identify an
appropriate strategy geared toward preventing delinquency that in consistent with the Behavioral
theory.
When a juvenile commits an act that would be criminal if committed by an adult, the juvenile is
determined to be delinquent. Delinquent acts may include crimes against persons, crimes against
property, drug offenses, and crimes against public order. Delinquency prevention efforts seek to
redirect youth who are considered at risk for delinquency or who have committed a delinquent
offense from deeper involvement in the juvenile justice system (Deling, 2014).
Characteristically, juvenile delinquency follows a similar path just like normal adolescent
development and children tend to follow delinquent and criminal behavior rather than engaging in it
randomly. Research has shown that there are two types of delinquents, those in whom the onset of
severe antisocial behavior begins in early childhood, and those in whom this onset coincides with
entry into adolescence. With either type, these developmental paths give families, communities, and
systems the opportunity to intervene and prevent the onset of antisocial behaviors and justice
system involvement (APA, 2017).
Many people try to point the finger to way children become delinquent, blaming their parents, their
poverty, their friends and/or the system; sometime things are not that simple. Some rich children
who have it all still make the same poor choices and end up on the wrong side of the law. Most
poor children who have nothing, still grow up good and do wonderful things. Many families have

A New Position As Director Of Industrial Operations

reputation, and there was no security plan; important as the DIO was also the Security, Plans, and

wall just outside the window behind my desk. He called my attention to it, and we looked out
the window. There was a 1 inch diameter rope coming down from the roof above. The workers
had finished so he and I went up on the roof to get a better look. When we got up there, we saw
the rope attached to a large fire extinguisher and tied off on a vent pipe. There was a note that read:
Greetings from the Baader Meinhof Gang. We cleared the entire facility and called the Quick
Response Battalion to activate the quick response plan. The Criminal Investigation Division and the
bomb squad came, but no Battalion response team. They found a fire extinguisher bomb with 13

The Pros And Cons Of The Bill Of Rights
Since the creation of the constitution in 1789, people have found ways to disobey the laws
written by our founding fathers. Most crimes have punishments that give fair consequences to
the misconduct of the person, but some cases prove otherwise. The Bill of Rights were created
to override all other law and provide a basis for moral wrongs and rights. Each amendment was
written with a purpose to shape our country and give individual citizens the rights they believed
were naturally theirs. One case, taken into the hands of the Supreme Court during World War I,
caused an uproar of disagreement, to whether the case was decided unfairly. To this day, the case
still remains arguable to whether this individual deserved the punishment that was given. In the
year of 1919, a man by the name of Charles T. Schenck was tried in court for mailing circulars to
draftees. He had very different views against the drafting of military for war, and was punished
for his non violent actions towards it. Around 1914, war broke out in Europe between nations
all over the globe. This war was sudden and caused chaos throughout nations because of the
excessive damage and need for soldiers. This war became known as World War I, and changed
the way in which our nation is shaped today. Soon after the outbreak of war, the Espionage Act
of 1917 was put into law. This was a federal law with intentions to restrain interference with any
military operations or involuntary enlistment into the military. After this, the Federal Government
held a draft for World War I. All male citizens within a specific age range were selected randomly
to serve in the military during this war, and it was not optional, but forced. Charles Schenck was
an associate of the Socialist party of America in Philadelphia, therefore he had disagreements with
the Capitalist government. He was the general of this party, and believed that the war was caused
by the rich only to benefit themselves, while poor lower class men were doing all of the suffering
and hard work. When Schenck became aware of the government s intentions for recruiting military,
he was furious. The government had seemed to have taken the natural born rights of man for
themselves to use as they pleased.

Selfish Motivations In Primeval Forest
In class, how we defined what it meant to be a missionary was an individual responding to a
need, a call to serve. From time to time, the area in which the missionary is called to serve is a
foreign land, where they would have to start anew and sacrifice some of their own privilege
interests. In general, when people think about missionaries, or what it means to be a missionary,
they picture a kind person, sympathetic to those around them. Someone who wants to work to
better the conditions of livelihood to those they will be serving. Missionaries are to be moral
people, or organizations, looking to serve for the better good. However, through the media
discussed in class, the main points of comparisons shed a new light on the term of becoming a
missionary: the sincere, wholesome imagery of missionaries soon start to fade. Instead,
Primeval Forest and Mosquito Coast show the darker side of doing missions: selfishness and
self satisfaction. In all three works seen or discussed in/for class, the main protagonists had
selfish motivations to travel abroad. In Primeval Forest, there seems to be a sense of ennui of the
doctor s life within the first page of the book. Having grown accustomed to the daily routine and
what he saw every day, he decided to embark on a new journey for a life in Africa. Similarly, in
Tanzanian Doctor, the protagonist ended up in Tanzania by coincidence. Wanting more than the
typical hospital life, he quit his job in search for something new. By coincidence,

As Albert Einstein once said, The true sign of intelligence is not knowledge but imagination. This
logic is what sparked the creation of the popular inventions of the 1950 s. Even though some
inventions of this decade may not be around today, they still have a significance on inventions and
thinking today. There are plenty of inventions that we use in modern time. Some examples are the
Barbie Doll, Diet Soda, and today s most popular fast food chain McDonalds. There were many
types of inventions in the 1950 s such as technological, medical, and other inventions that are still

Celebrities Have a Moral Responsibility to Be Good Role...
Celebrities have a moral responsibility to be good role models for the society, would you agree?
First of all by using the dictionary the main definitions can be broken down; the definition for a
celebrity is a famous or well known person . The definition of moral responsibility is the idea
that a person has moral obligations in certain situations. The definition of a good role model is a
person whose behaviour, example, or success is or can be emulated by others, especially by
younger people.
Our opinion as a group is that every human being has a moral responsibility towards society
although celebrities tend to have the upper hand when it comes down to being good role models.
Our three arguments for this topic would be: First, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Also there is Chris Gardner the inspiration for the movie Pursuit of Happiness .
Our third argument is Celebrities influence the youth of today . The youth of today are much
modernised, instead of reading books of history and relating to the heroes of yesterday, they
tend to watch movies, TV shows and make the celebrities the hero of today. The main reason
why the youth especially make celebrities their role models is because at one point of time in
their life they want to become like those role models, they want to have same amount of fame,
they want to be popular and loved amongst others like the role models. Some of them get inspired
so much that they even want to look exactly like the role models. For example: Harman Badeja a
fairly new Indian movie star got so Inspired by Hritik Roshan a superstar in Bollywood, that he has
made his face and hair look exactly like him.
Having stated all the above points, our counter argument is celebrities cannot always be
considered as good role models . Some of the actions committed by the celebrities can be
inappropriate and a very bad influence for the general population/audience. Henceforth why there
is a censor board in place. The censor board is there to prevent celebrities showing or anything
which can be classified as harmful for the audience. They try their best to make celebrities pure in
front of the audience, yet still some

Descriptive Essay About Tattoos
Coco
This wonderful idea all started when I was around 15. This was maybe one of my less great
ideas, but I really liked the thought of me having a tattoo.Yea that s right, I said that I wanted a
tattoo! At the time I kept begging and asking my mom to allow me to get a tattoo, I asked her if I
could get this tattoo when I turned 16. After a week of me asking her, she finally said yes, but the
only condition was that I had to pay for it. LIttle did I know that she only said this to keep me quiet.
As soon as my 16th birthday came around I felt joy inside because I was finally getting something
that i ve been wanting for a long time , but once again, my mom showed her true colors and said
no. She told me to wait until summer , fortunately this time she was for real. So as soon as
summer arrived, I was already looking for a place to get a tattoo called Johnny s Tattoos; The
Place Of Regret. Not this place, but tattoos in general are famous for having an effect on how
people with them are viewed and even how they are judged.People have viewed other people with
lots of tattoos as someone who is not fit for the workplace or simply just insane.I made an
appointment a week after I got my first paycheck.
After waiting for what felt like 1000s of years my appointment date was here. Therefore I went to

An International Student Of Public Health Essay
Trying to Fulfil a Dream As an international student, public health is not a major you hear about
regularly. As a Middle Eastern, everyone is expected to pursue a degree in Medicine,
Engineering or Pharmacy. I recall the most common question I got asked when I mentioned I
was majoring in public health was, ...so, you are going to be a nurse? The idea was introduced to
me by my mother some years back, who is a physician, who thought it would suit my lifetime
general goals. As a child I remember always being that one person who would always warn my
classmates about the dangers of doing this and that, and of eating this or drinking that. I would
make presentations in class about the negative effects that soft drinks have on our bodies, laser
printers exhaust on air pollution and aerosol sprays on the ozone, and in turn on our skin from
harmful UV rays. Therefore, with my introduction to public healthas a major, I realized it was the
perfect way to fulfill what I want to do in my future, even though I barely had a clue what it was.
A public health major was yet the first door to open that led to many more doors. Perhaps I was
not so familiar with the number of specialties and career choices that come with a public health
major, but I at least knew which path to follow. Upon research into the different positions I found
that one in specific related most to what I felt I want to do: Epidemiology. It is explained on

An Analysis Of The Play Sure Things By Davis Ives
Sure Things by Davis Ives Analysis
In 1988 David Ives created Sure Things a short play One act comedy where he explores many
possibilities of a common social daily life situation; dating. With only two characters, Betty and Bill,
common names for common people and with fine humor and critic vision, using a peculiar and
functional language the author reveals in many ways how this every day activity can have a
different outcome, depending in the moment, chosen words, characters mood, personality and
intention.
In spite of being One Act short play Sure Things has all elements a plot or play should have. The
setting is a cafГ©, and the first scene describes the characters as Betty, a woman in her late
twenties, is reading at a cafГ© table. An empty chair is opposite her. Bill, same age, enters.

The book s title is a reference to a soliloquy in Shakespeare s Macbeth that talks about how life is a

metaphor for the ridiculous nature of the relationship between Bill and Betty and a backdrop for
the scene itself. ( Sure Things ). In the movie Fielding Mellish falls in love with Nancy who
thinks that he is not good enough for her. He is not part of her social and intellectual circle, but
when he becomes an important business man she falls in love with him. The same happened in

Leblanc Orders The T-Shirts
Step 2: What are the ethical issues involved? If LeBlanc orders the t shirts from China she knows
that it has low wages, rigorous work schedules, poor safety regulations, and a lack of worker s
compensation and benefits for its employees. After all, she had witnessed firsthand similar
conditions when she visited a Bulgarian clothing factory while with the University of Virginia.
She also had to think about the global recession, and how it would make the company look by
outsourcing for cheaper t shirts instead of supporting U.S. companies. However, if she orders
the t shirts from the San Francisco company, which she had worked with in the past, she knows
good working conditions exist for the employees there. Also, even though the t shirts were more
expensive they were made of good quality, fair trade, organic, and eco friendly. Step 3: Who are
the stakeholders impacted by the situation? Stakeholders impacted by this situation would
involve CEO, clients, LeBlanc, business image, and the China and San Francisco companies.
The CEO is impacted because if LeBlanc fails, it will reflect on the decision making of the CEO
in giving such an important project to an intern. Also, the clients, because if LeBlanc makes the
decision to go with the China company the t shirts will not be of as good quality, and stylish as
from the San Francisco company. LeBlanc is also impacted because her grade, and her reputation

An Argumentative Essay About Babymetal
cently, a new( ish) band from Japan called Babymetal (or as they like to be called, BABYMETAL)
has taken the music world by storm. Their rapid rise to success has caught a lot of people s
attention within and outside the metal community, culminating in a North American tour where
they opened for none other than Lady Gaga.
So who are these young teenage girls and what are they doing on stage with a metal band? Are they
really into metal? What kind of music do they play? Are they good? What has the metal
community s reaction been to them? Are they the real deal ? Is life like a flat circle? Let us answer
these questions one by one.

Whatever your opinion may be about the kind of music that they play and perform, there is no
denying that every member is a talented musician. The 3 girls are excellent vocalists overall.
Even the backing band is full of top notch musicians. Guitarist Takayoshi Ohmura even plays for
ex Megadeth guitarist Marty Friedman s band. Live, they are one of the most exciting acts to see
with their high energy performances. Their live shows are well staged events with choreographed
dance routines, elaborate lighting, and heavy use of props. Unlike an average metal concert, their
shows are not only about the music, but also about the whole experience. This is not to say that
their music is not good, because they really bring it on the stage.
What has the metal community s reaction been like? Polarising. Babymetal has faced a lot of
backlash from tr00 metal fans, the primary reasons being their gimmicky style and that they are
just a bunch of musicians who are paid to perform live, and whose music is dictated by record
labels. However some metal fans have accepted them with open arms, calling them a breath of
fresh air in a genre struggling for relevancy. Their fans also include young kids, crossover J pop
fans, and indie fans. Their following is extremely diverse as a result of their unconventional

Comparison Between Edinburgh And France
3.0Comparison between Edinburgh and France
The main reason for the exchange year is to engage yourself with the culture and history of the city
that you have chosen and for me it was Edinburgh. I love this city because it is the perfect example
of a blend of medieval architecture, nature and modernity. Strolling around the city, you can see its
gothic style architecture and other 16th century monuments around the city. While walking the
streets of Royal Mile, we can see the gorgeous gothic style St Giles Cathedral, streets filled with
small alleys that are like secret chambers to the hidden world and the magnificent Edinburgh Castle
at the Castle Hill. From the castle, one could view the Princess Street, one of the busiest and

I have never seen Arthur Seat and the Meadows empty. There are always people who would jog,
hike or cycle near Arthur Seat and also there must be people jogging, playing tennis, games or
enjoying the great weather (if possible) at the Meadows when it is sunny.
Furthermore, one of the important differences between in France and Edinburgh is the diversity
of people that exist here. There are a lot of people who comes from different ethnic background
and nationalities in Edinburgh. There are more than 10000 non European students in Edinburgh.
This contributes to the heterogeneity of the city. It made me have the sense of belonging in this
city and not felt foreign or as an outsider. Apart from that, in Edinburgh alone we have more than
200 Malaysians studying here. This facilitated me in adapting in Edinburgh. However, in Le
Havre, there was lack of diversity making me felt always a foreigner in its homogenous society. It
took more time for me to adapt with the French society even though I am able to speak their
language. I have always felt being judged by the people surrounding me while I was walking
around France.
It is undeniable that France is the location to taste the best cuisine in the world. However, it is
noteworthy to mention that Edinburgh has its own charm in terms of the food. There is a varied

A Porter analysis will be performed throughout this paper, on the internet sales industry. Included in
the Porter analysis is six relative competitive forces; threat of new entrants, rivalry amongst firms,
threat of substitute services, bargaining power of buyers, bargaining power of suppliers, and
relative power of other stakeholders. Threat of New Entrants: Medium

New entrants must also consider how well existing companies have mastered the art of converting
combining customer and third party seller data together, and converting it into useful information
for future customers. Customers are able to see previous customer reviews and seller ratings
without even meeting the seller. The transparency of sellers, provide customers with the comfort of
knowing what type of seller they are dealing with before a transaction even occurs. New entrants to
the industry would not be able to provide potential customers with the same transparency seller
transparency that an existing seller would be able to (eBay, 2010). Rivalry among Existing Firms:
High
Competition within the internet sales industry is fierce and innovation is the way internet retailers
are looking to grab the top spot. Internet retailers such as Walmart are following in the path of
competitors and building fulfillment centers left and right to allow for faster delivery to
customers. Many internet retailers have explored the possibilities of drone delivery, using
customers to deliver products to other customers on their way home, and allowing customers to
pick up products out of lockers in stores so they don t have to wait in line; these competitive
strategies internet retailers are seeking to implement illustrate how far firms are willing to go to
gain the upper hand on one another (Forbes, 2012).

How Did Abraham Lincoln Changed America
There has been many great men and women in America that has been an influence in the United
States of America who strived to make the United States a better country. One of the many people
who has been and continues to be one of the great American influential people is the sixteenth
president of the United States, Abraham Lincoln. Lincoln strove to do his duties to serve America
during his presidency. He served our country during the time of conflict and kept our country from
falling apart during the American Civil War. Also, Lincoln gave his life for what he believed in.
Other people might believe that there are better American war heroes or technological advances in
the United States; I personally believe Abraham Lincoln was one of the greatest because he
changed America for the better through one of the toughest times of war for America, and he put
his strong mind into ending slavery. Abraham Lincoln entered his reign of Presidency during the
time of many chaotic conflicts. By the time Lincoln was inaugurated as 16th U.S. president in

Short Story Of The Duckling
He was Annoying, so I Threw Him in the Lake
On a late spring morning, within the bamboo forest, there s a lake with crystal clear water. Today,
I stop by the lake to grab a quick drink to quench my thirst. I was staring at the water and lost in
my thoughts until a high pitched squeaky voice startled me, Are you a hybrid of polar bear and a
black bear? I turn around and look down, I come face to face with an ugly creature, which I
assume is the owner of the squeaky voice. Upon closer look I recognize the ugly creature as a
petite mandarin duckling. He then open his beak again asking the exact same question with the
identical agitating voice Mr. Panda, are you a hybrid of polar bear and a black bear?
No, I m not, I responded with a monotone voice.
The duckling keeps staring at me for what seems like eternity. The silence combine with the staring
is too much for me to comprehend, so I walk away from it.
Few seconds later... SNAP! I stop walking, I slowly turn around and my heart almost stopped
when I discover that the duckling was following me along. I kindly asked the duckling Can you
please stop following me? I turn around and continue walking but the duckling is still behind my
trail. This time I walk the opposite direction, I m heading towards the lake, I peek around behind
and the duckling is still tailing me like I m some sort of celebrity. I turn around for the millionth
time, Why are you following me? I questioned the clueless duckling.

Persuasive Essay On Right To Bear Arms
Only this month, 59 were killed and over 500 people were injured during a country music
concert in Vegas in what is now known as the deadliest mass shooting in American history. Last
year, 49 were killed and 58 were injured in a gay nightclub in Florida. In 2012, a mass shooting
in Sandy Hook Elementary School took 27 lives, 20 of them being first graders. The list of these
unthinkable and stomach churning acts is quickly turning endless, forcing us to rethink why we
truly have the right to bear arms. Many defend the second amendment by claiming we need this
right for self defense, which is the most wretched part. When we look at what we have lost
compared to what we have earned in this fight to keep the right to bear arms, this privilege does
not seem worth the sacrifice of so many lives. In today s world, we do not defense through guns
but from them. Our policymakers keep trying to reach a compromise by putting in place certain
regulations. Some states require would be gunowners to fulfill a firearms safety course in order to
obtain their license. Such training courses, however, even when not required, are very advisable
for the would be gun owner, as they ensure that he or she has all the necessary information on
liability issues, on safety, and even on care and maintenance of the gun ( How to Get a Gun
License 1). This lack of attention illustrates that despite the multiple tragedies that have taken place
in our nation, some states do not even require a simple safety course that ensures the safety of our
people. Furthermore, it is required that one must pass a background check. The questions asked on
the test are the following:
*Have you ever been convicted of a felony?
*Have you ever been convicted of a misdemeanor crime of domestic violence?
*Are you an unlawful user of, or addicted to, marijuana or any other depressant, stimulant, narcotic
drug, or any other controlled substance?
*Are you a fugitive from justice?
*Have you ever been committed to a mental institution?

child abuse is shown. For example, we see Soaphead Church molesting young children who have

candy, and the most tragic case of child abuse in the book is when Cholly rapes his own
daughter Pecola at the end of the book and the worst part is he did it twice. But to get to the
point, there are multiple articles and books that are all about trauma and the effects it has on the
children. It is an extremely popular subject that gets talked about on the news, an example of that
is when Larry Nassar molested over 100+ young teens while he had to do health checkups and due

A Critical Evaluation of the Deductive Argument from Evil
Critically Evaluate the Deductive Argument from Evil
Logically, can Evil and the three O God co exist in this universe? The deductive argument from
evil says they cannot. In this essay I will explain the argument and analyze why it is valid but
unsound. I will do this by discussing fallacious nature of the premise that if God were omnipotent
and knew he could prevent the existence of evil without sacrificing some greater good he would
then necessarily prevent it. The essay will propose the following evaluation of the deductive
argument from Evil: that each premise logically follows from its antecedent, but that the concepts
in the premises themselves are not entirely understood and can be refuted. God s Omni benevolence,
... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
An even further analysis of the issue of misinterpretation of Omni benevolence, or false
assumptions about God s nature, is the claim that the deductive argument from evil contains a
referential fallacy; presuming that all words refer to existing things and that their meaning lies
in what the refer to. This claim of the unsound nature of the argument asserts that the deductive
argument from evil fallaciously assumes the idea of Omni benevolence is defined by existing
ideas and worldly concepts of all good nature . It is logically possibly, however, that God s
perfect goodness is beyond man s understanding and cannot be defined by actions or non actions
relating to the evil of this world. Thus leading to the false conviction that God need necessarily
eliminate all evil from the world in order to be inherently good. These forms of counter
arguments to the deductive explanation of evil s non compatibility with God can be refuted. The
following are defenses for the deductive argument that support the primary understanding of God
s Omni benevolence as mandating the elimination of all existing evil. Firstly, Omni benevolence
is a description of God s absolutely good nature and entails that God desires everything that is
good. This desire to bring about good things also means a desire to prevent evil things from
happening. Hence God s good nature doesn t need to necessarily lead to no omission of good
actions, but it does lead to the necessary idea that God

Essay on The Interesting Narrative of the Life of Olauda...
The Interesting Narrative of the Life of Olauda Equiano The narrative by Olaudah Equiano
gives an interesting perspective of slavery both within and outside of Africa in the eighteenth
century. From these writings we can gain insight into the religion and customs of an African
culture. We can also see how developed the system of trade was within Africa, and worldwide by
this time. Finally, we hear an insider s view on being enslaved, how slaves were treated in Africa,
and what the treatment of African slaves was like at the hands of the Europeans. Olaudah spends a
good part of the narrative acquainting the reader with the customs of his people. He describes the

They seemed, if we take him at his word, to be a friendly and civilized people. As he put it
cheerfulness and affability are two of the leading characteristics of our nation. The village
economy was particularly interesting, and Olaudah s descriptions are very revealing. His
people needed guns because other villages had them. The guns were brought to Africa by the
Europeans, who used them to trade. (That the Europeans both supplied and fulfilled this need
bears mention.) Olaudah states that he had never seen a European; his people traded with
wandering merchants who acted as middlemen. These middlemen traded guns for potash, which
they probably used in trade again elsewhere. Later in his life Olaudah also saw iron pots,
crossbows, and European cutlasses among African people. This clearly illustrates the trade that
developed between coastal tribes and Europeans, and the existence of middlemen who worked
along established trade routes. There is also evidence of the Columbian Exchange in this writing:
the crops that Olaudah mentions his people raised. He says that they grew corn and tobacco,
These crops were unknown in Afroeurasia before Columbus returned from the New World barely
two hundred and fifty years earlier. These two crops traveled from the Western Hemisphere via
very indirect trade routes, over a period of many years. They became staples in a rural village
miles from the African coast. This shows the level of sophistication in

Edmund Iago And Richard III Character Analysis
Shakespeare created the new style of villains he shows the battle between the good and evil side
of human soul. Shakespeare gave more human qualities to a villain than it was already shown in
sixteen century s plays. Shakespeare s villain like Edmund, Iago and Richard iii express their
intentions and motives in the soliloquy effectively. Soliloquy helps them to build a connection

Capital Punishment In The Criminal Justice System
The primary purpose of the criminal justice system is to protect society. All features of the system;
detaining delinquents, trials, and punishments all have costs. Reduction in any part of the criminal
justice system can potentially result in a harmful society. The question most asked about the death
penalty is, Why should honest, hardworking taxpayers, have to pay for murderers for the rest of
their life instead of executing them? Actually the death penalty is the most expensive part off the
system. According to Dr. Ernest Gross, a Creighton University economics professor, who conducted
a study in August 2016, the death penalty cost an average 23.2 million more per year than
alternative sentences (Gross). The study found that states with the death penalty spend about 3.54%
of overall state budgets on court, corrections and other criminal justice functions associated with the
death penalty, while states without the death penalty spend about 2.93% on those functions (Gross).

Settlement House Movement
One important characteristic of the Settlement House Movement is that they wanted to reform
existing social policy and offer services that would help the poor to shake the bonds of poverty
and enjoy a better quality of life. Thus, settlement workers saw the need for a dramatic change in
social, health and reactional services that were offered in slum areas in the large cities (Heinonen
and Spearman, 2010, p. 15). Moreover, the settlement house workers believed that problems people
faced were due to deficiencies of the social structure; not due to character flaw (Course Lecture
Notes, PowerPoint Chapter 2). Contrary to the Settlement House Movement was the Charity
Organization Society. The settlement house movement went against the beliefs of the Charity
Organization Society because they believed that charity was a form of social control.
The Settlement House Movement began in the early 1800s and was a changing force in social
policy and led to the further development of social work. The Settlement House Movement greatly

Louise then exclaims, free, free, free! when she was told about the news of her husband s death
(Chopin 13). Louise exclaims free multiple times because this is essentially her hidden feeling
towards her husband s death, free. In direct correlation to Louise repetition of free, she sits near a
window in which symbolizes her underlying feelings towards the oppressiveness of marriage. After
all the time she stared out the window, now there was a dull stare in her eyes, whose gaze was
fixed away off yonder on one of those patches of blue sky. It was not a glance of reflection, but
rather indicated a suspension of intelligent thought (Chopin 13). Louise undergoes a change in
mindset in which she suddenly realizes the freedom she received over Brently s death. The window
is a symbol to her freedom, in which she enlightens herself after a few moments of thought.
Lastly, irony plays a role in Louise s sudden death. The irony begins when Louise breathed a
quick prayer that life might be long. It was only yesterday she had thought with a shudder that life
might be long (Chopin 14). The death of Brently poured the negative influences in Louise s mind.
She believed that her life was going to be long and dull when she was informed. Eventually, the
doctors came they said she had died of heart disease of joy that kills (Chopin 14). Shortly after she

Cross Academy was a prestigious boarding school known for its state of the art education system

is important because, in order to successfully choose a correct path in life, it is important for the
person to know themselves and align their personalities and abilities to what they choose to do.
Individuals must set goals for themselves in terms of what they want out of their education and
careerso that they can make informed decisions pertaining to their lives. Plans must be carefully
made if people want a successful career that they feel fulfilled with. My client, Randy, has been
through a process of learning about himself, has goals that have been, and will be, fulfilled, and
has set clear plans on what he wants out of his career. Randy is a successful athletic trainer because
he has taken the timeto plan his life out and find a job that best matches his personality and goals.
Self Knowledge Goal A keen understanding of self is important in any important decision, as
someone must know themselves to understand what they want out of life. Self knowledge means
understanding self, including what the person is interested in, values, likes and dislikes, and where
one s priorities lie. In the interview, Randy seemed to go through a process in which he found out

How Energy Plays A Vital Role As A Catalyst For Economic...
Introduction Energy plays a vital role as a catalyst for economic growth and high standard of
living. It is a fundamental input for all sectors, fuelling transport and providing electricity to
industry, commerce, and agriculture. Yet access to energy remains an elusive goal for
approximately 1.5 billion people worldwide (International Energy Agency, 2009). Given energy
s importance in promoting economic growth, governments tend to assist the energy industry
through policies that support research and development, provide low interest loans, and deliver
subsidies to producers and or consumers. The Global Subsidies Initiative estimated that global
subsidies to fossil fuel producers were approximately $100 billion in 2009 (Global Subsidies
Initiative, 2009). Coady et al. (2010) estimated that consumer subsidies for petroleum products
amounted to $57 billion, globally, in 2003, $519 billion in 2008, and $136 billion in 2009.
Subsidies often reduce production costs, make energy affordable to consumers, and encourage
development of new supply sources. Policies involving subsidies often have intended goals to
address market failures or respond to social and distributional objectives. According to Komives et
al. (2007), government support in the form of a subsidy can be critical for ensuring access to
modern energy services, including electricity for the poorest, thereby enhancing societal welfare.
Although these support programs are used to improve the standard of living for various

The Effects Of Gun Violence On The United States
In the United States, over the past few decades, gun violence has increased massively, leading to
over 10,000 gun related incidents in 2015. The main cause of the massive amount of violence in the
United States in recent decades is mainly because people who are in danger have no means to
protect themselves. This is why guns should be more accessible for citizens, so that they can
protect themselves in dangerous situations. Allowing citizens to conceal weapons would heavily
decrease the amount of incidents that occur because innocent people were unable to protect
themselves. Also, putting less control on guns would prevent crimes from even happening in the
first place. If a criminal had intentions of committing a crime, they would be much less willing if
they knew that they might possibly get shot trying to commit that crime. Thus, criminal activity
and violent crimes will cease to continue at such high rates and more people will have the ability
to protect themselves in dangerous situations. In areas with high crime rates, certain people are
more affected than others, such as minorities, children, and women. America is facing a
continuing epidemic of homicides among young black males. The number of black homicide
victims killed by guns is rising at a sharp rate of fifty four percent. Studies have shown that
consistently there are more black victims than white victims. A specific study done by the FBI has
shown that per 100,000 black lives, 18.07 of people were victims of

Analysis Of The Poem The Golden Sunshine
In a bright morning, the sun shone through the window in my bedroom, quietly. The golden
sunshine, brings me a sense of freshness, comfort and happiness. After half day of paper work, in
the afternoon I slowly came to the woods that situated not far away from home. Perhaps because
the noon drizzle, the air became fresh and sweet, filled with a touch of grass and the fragrance of
wild flowers. In the wood, the green leaves of these ancient pagoda tree brings a trace of
coolness after the breeze passing by. I walk on the earth, the green grass is so delicate, like the
famous artist Spring try to make more people understand that spring is coming; with her most
precious color rendering of this vast expanse of grassland, emerges a thriving scene.
Chirps in the peaceful forest, who is whistling? I guessed right, is the robin who fly around the
bright blue sky; probably beside it is the lady robin he like. Beautiful rhymes, like spring water
flow out. At this sweet moment, I think the chirps is better than all the music in our world. Apart
from the bird call, these agile squirrels and rabbits passing the branches cheerfully; the beauty
butterflies play in between the flowers and the bees are busy gathering nectar for the delicious
honey. I sat on the grass, greedily breath in the mellow soil, and at this point, my mind emerged the
night last winter when I was passing this forest on the way home......
It was two days before the Christmas, I carried the DSLR camera to capture the

Witchcraft
Witchcraft Satan Woship, or Just another Religion?
In today s society, new religions are popping up all over the place. One of the oldest, yet fastest
growing faiths today is witchcraft. This earth based, nature oriented belief has been established
since the thirteenth century, but it is not until recently that it has began to spread across the world.
Everywhere we look we see something associated with the practice of wicca. The movie, Blair
Witch Project, is one example of the growing belief in spells, charms, and covens. However, there
are many people who disapprove of this practice and are labeling it as a false religion. ; Christians,
for example, greatly disagree with the belief of witchcraft and find it in association with ... Show

Basically, it was people who were lonely or were considered to be outcasts. There were also
Indian slaves and anti Christians who were accused of witch craft because of their different point
of views. However, sometimes, everyday people were accused because of their superstitions like
knocking on wood. ; The church saw them as those who didn t put their complete faith in God, and
so therefore, were considered to be witches.
There are many different types of witchcraft, or wicca. Sometimes, it is simply just charms and
spells that people chant. These spells can be considered either good or bad, depending on the
purpose of the hex. The magic used in witchcraft can also vary. It basically comes down to either
black magic, which is meant to do harm, or white magic, which is only meant to heal and help.
In the Bible it is clearly stated that witchcraft is wrong. There are many different chapters and
verses in the Bible that reveal this. Obviously, God does not want his people to be hand in hand
with sin, but the question still remains: Is witch craft tied to Satanism and evil? Many say yes, but
many say no as well. By viewing the facts about witchcraft, one can decide for themselves.
The exact time when witchcraft originated is unknown, but experts say it all began to become
noticed as an evil practice around the 13th century. During this time, the church slightly tolerated
the practice of magic, but as the 14th century moved

Ameican Cowboys Essay
Ameican Cowboys
Have you ever wondered who the cowboys were; how they lived; or what they did? The
American Cowboy s way of life was interesting and unique, and they contributed more to society
than one might think. Besides looking after stock and driving cattle, they had to round up huge
numbers of cattle for ranchers. This paper will examine the American cowboy s character, what
they wore, the everyday things they did like driving cattle and branding calves and the lawlessness
of the old west.
The job wasn t just for anyone. Certain character traits and physical characteristics were required if
someone wanted to be a good cowboy. Considering the distances that they covered, traveling was
rough. ?? the cowboy needed great ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The attire a cowboy chose was very important to his job. Most things he wore had a definite
purpose and suited the job well. ?Their usual gear consisted of a bridle, saddle, rawhide lariat,
spurs, boots, heavy leather chaps, hat, tarp, buffalo robe, and blankets? (The Cowboys). He also
had a woolen or cotton shirt, tight woolen pants and handkerchief. All of the clothing accessories
were chosen for their usefulness. For example, ?A high crowned, broad brimmed felt hat, the
sombrero, shielded him from the sun and rain. His soft legged boots had high heels set far under
the instep to hold his ankle clear of the heavy stirrup? (?Cowboy?). His handkerchief protected
his face by shielding it from the sun and preventing dust from entering his mouth. The tight pants
were worn for a reason; they protected his legs from brush and insects (?Cowboys?). The things
a cowboy wore were essential to life and they always used these things. A cowboy?s job mainly
involved the rounding up of cattle and driving the cattle to the destinations designated by the ranch
owner. The first drives were short; they went over safe routes to locations in Texas and Louisiana
(Java Script). Before moving the cattle, cowboys had to make sure that they were moving the right
cattle from the herd. Cattle were branded to tell them apart from the others. The branding was done
by having an expert roper catch the cattle by the

Other considerations include platform scalability and performance. 2.Subject Matter Experts: SMEs are key to evaluate algorithms and ensure recommendations are fact based and not subject to biases. • 3. Human Tooth, Tooth Decay human tooth , tooth decay [pic] Human tooth Teeth of humans are small, calcified, whitish structures found in the mouth that are used to break down food. The roots of teeth are embedded in the maxilla (upper jaw) or the mandible (lower jaw) and are covered by gums. Teeth are made of multiple tissues of varying density and hardness. Teeth are among the most distinctive (and long lasting) features of mammal species. Humans, like other mammals, are diphyodont, meaning that they develop two sets of teeth. The first set (also called the baby , milk , primary , and deciduous set) normally starts to appear at about six months of age, although some babies are born with one or more visible teeth, known as neonatal ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Depending on the extent of tooth destruction, various treatments can be used to restore teeth to proper form, function, and aesthetics, but there is no known method to regenerate large amounts of tooth structure. Instead, dental health organizations advocate preventive and prophylactic measures, such as regular oral hygiene and dietary modifications, to avoid dental caries. Causes There are four main criteria required for caries formation: a tooth surface (enamel or dentin); caries causing bacteria; fermentable carbohydrates (such as sucrose); and time. The caries process does not have an inevitable outcome, and different individuals will be susceptible to different degrees depending on the shape of their teeth, oral hygiene habits, and the buffering capacity of their saliva. Dental caries can occur on any surface of a tooth that is exposed to the oral cavity, but not the structures that are retained within the bone. All caries occurs from acid demineralization that exceeds saliva and fluoride remineralization, and almost all acid demineralization occurs where food (containing carbohydrate like sugar) is left on teeth. Though most trapped food is left between teeth, over 80% of cavities occur inside pits and fissures on chewing surfaces where brushing, fluoride, and saliva cannot reach to remineralize the tooth as they do on easy to reach surfaces that develop few cavities. Your parents are paying them millions of dollars each year through the government. To this day we continue to see major corporations avoid paying their taxes through loopholes such as tax havens. Some of the most well known companies to you and your families, Walmart and McDonald s, have taken your taxmoney from the government because they pay their employees so little that they cannot afford any social services. And the big banks of Wall Street are getting bigger and bigger each day, so big that a collapse would destroy our economy. An article from The Chicago Reporter discussed the implications of this issue. Low wage employers put a burden on taxpayers, who pick up the cost of health care, food and housing assistance for their workforce (Black, 2015). Not only is this driving down the consumer demand, but it is driving families of the workers down below the poverty line and onto the streets, while the rich are getting richer. It is not our responsibility to pay for the workers social benefits through our tax money. It is the responsibility of the mega corporations who refuse to pay their workers a living wage to give these rights to their workers. Legislation such as the Cook County Responsibility Business Act will work to force these employers to give in through a raise in the amount they must pay their workers so that they can afford the most essential social programs. But this is not enough. We need to raise the minimum wage of all low income workers in America if we want to lessen the great disparity of wealth in this country. The ugly truth is, a large number of these corporations choose increasing their profits over the conditions of their employees as long as the government turns a blind eye to the ... POST NEGOTIATION REFLECTION In this negotiation, we learned that it is important to research your opponent, to understand their culture, not only of their country or backgrounds, but also their company culture. When we are able to understand our opponent s way of thinking about business and doing business we can then understand how to approach a negotiation situation with them. In this exercise, we learned that it is difficult for us to adjust when it involves breaking or acting in a way opposite of what we are accustomed to. We also learned that although my classmates live in the same country as we do, their upbringings may have similarities to their origin country and will therefore help them to communicate and adjust to that country s norms and standards. We were surprised how we were able to stay in character although it was hard and it was surprising how people responded when they were unaware of your intentions and strategies. If we had to do this exercise again, what we can do is do more research on our opponents so that we would have an idea of what to expect in the negotiation table. Fundamentals Of Juvenile Delinquency This assignment will illustrate that by understanding the fundamentals of combatting juvenile delinquency and applying the theories to command practice will enhance the overall knowledge of the material. This document will demonstrate the juvenile delinquency reduction efforts and programs currently in operation in the Tampa area community. In addition, I will propose ways to improve the Tampa area community s juvenile delinquencyprevention efforts. Next, this paper will attempt to apply the main sociological theories that underlie these interventions that shape the community s public policy for delinquency prevention. Finally, this paper will identify an appropriate strategy geared toward preventing delinquency that in consistent with the Behavioral theory. When a juvenile commits an act that would be criminal if committed by an adult, the juvenile is determined to be delinquent. Delinquent acts may include crimes against persons, crimes against property, drug offenses, and crimes against public order. Delinquency prevention efforts seek to redirect youth who are considered at risk for delinquency or who have committed a delinquent offense from deeper involvement in the juvenile justice system (Deling, 2014). Characteristically, juvenile delinquency follows a similar path just like normal adolescent development and children tend to follow delinquent and criminal behavior rather than engaging in it randomly. Research has shown that there are two types of delinquents, those in whom the onset of severe antisocial behavior begins in early childhood, and those in whom this onset coincides with entry into adolescence. With either type, these developmental paths give families, communities, and systems the opportunity to intervene and prevent the onset of antisocial behaviors and justice system involvement (APA, 2017). Many people try to point the finger to way children become delinquent, blaming their parents, their poverty, their friends and/or the system; sometime things are not that simple. Some rich children who have it all still make the same poor choices and end up on the wrong side of the law. Most poor children who have nothing, still grow up good and do wonderful things. • 8. The Pros And Cons Of The Bill Of Rights Since the creation of the constitution in 1789, people have found ways to disobey the laws written by our founding fathers. Most crimes have punishments that give fair consequences to the misconduct of the person, but some cases prove otherwise. The Bill of Rights were created to override all other law and provide a basis for moral wrongs and rights. Each amendment was written with a purpose to shape our country and give individual citizens the rights they believed were naturally theirs. One case, taken into the hands of the Supreme Court during World War I, caused an uproar of disagreement, to whether the case was decided unfairly. To this day, the case still remains arguable to whether this individual deserved the punishment that was given. In the year of 1919, a man by the name of Charles T. Schenck was tried in court for mailing circulars to draftees. He had very different views against the drafting of military for war, and was punished for his non violent actions towards it. Around 1914, war broke out in Europe between nations all over the globe. This war was sudden and caused chaos throughout nations because of the excessive damage and need for soldiers. This war became known as World War I, and changed the way in which our nation is shaped today. Soon after the outbreak of war, the Espionage Act of 1917 was put into law. This was a federal law with intentions to restrain interference with any military operations or involuntary enlistment into the military. After this, the Federal Government held a draft for World War I. All male citizens within a specific age range were selected randomly to serve in the military during this war, and it was not optional, but forced. Charles Schenck was an associate of the Socialist party of America in Philadelphia, therefore he had disagreements with the Capitalist government. He was the general of this party, and believed that the war was caused by the rich only to benefit themselves, while poor lower class men were doing all of the suffering and hard work. When Schenck became aware of the government s intentions for recruiting military, he was furious. The government had seemed to have taken the natural born rights of man for themselves to use as they pleased. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 9. Selfish Motivations In Primeval Forest In class, how we defined what it meant to be a missionary was an individual responding to a need, a call to serve. From time to time, the area in which the missionary is called to serve is a foreign land, where they would have to start anew and sacrifice some of their own privilege interests. In general, when people think about missionaries, or what it means to be a missionary, they picture a kind person, sympathetic to those around them. Someone who wants to work to better the conditions of livelihood to those they will be serving. Missionaries are to be moral people, or organizations, looking to serve for the better good. However, through the media discussed in class, the main points of comparisons shed a new light on the term of becoming a missionary: the sincere, wholesome imagery of missionaries soon start to fade. Instead, Primeval Forest and Mosquito Coast show the darker side of doing missions: selfishness and self satisfaction. In all three works seen or discussed in/for class, the main protagonists had selfish motivations to travel abroad. In Primeval Forest, there seems to be a sense of ennui of the doctor s life within the first page of the book. Having grown accustomed to the daily routine and what he saw every day, he decided to embark on a new journey for a life in Africa. Similarly, in Tanzanian Doctor, the protagonist ended up in Tanzania by coincidence. Wanting more than the typical hospital life, he quit his job in search for something new. By coincidence, ... First of all by using the dictionary the main definitions can be broken down; the definition for a celebrity is a famous or well known person . The definition of moral responsibility is the idea that a person has moral obligations in certain situations. The definition of a good role model is a person whose behaviour, example, or success is or can be emulated by others, especially by younger people. The youth of today are much modernised, instead of reading books of history and relating to the heroes of yesterday, they tend to watch movies, TV shows and make the celebrities the hero of today. The main reason why the youth especially make celebrities their role models is because at one point of time in their life they want to become like those role models, they want to have same amount of fame, they want to be popular and loved amongst others like the role models. Some of them get inspired so much that they even want to look exactly like the role models. For example: Harman Badeja a fairly new Indian movie star got so Inspired by Hritik Roshan a superstar in Bollywood, that he has made his face and hair look exactly like him. Having stated all the above points, our counter argument is celebrities cannot always be considered as good role models . Some of the actions committed by the celebrities can be inappropriate and a very bad influence for the general population/audience. Henceforth why there is a censor board in place. As a Middle Eastern, everyone is expected to pursue a degree in Medicine, Engineering or Pharmacy. I recall the most common question I got asked when I mentioned I was majoring in public health was, ...so, you are going to be a nurse? The list of these unthinkable and stomach churning acts is quickly turning endless, forcing us to rethink why we truly have the right to bear arms. Many defend the second amendment by claiming we need this right for self defense, which is the most wretched part. When we look at what we have lost compared to what we have earned in this fight to keep the right to bear arms, this privilege does not seem worth the sacrifice of so many lives. In today s world, we do not defense through guns but from them. Our policymakers keep trying to reach a compromise by putting in place certain regulations. Some states require would be gunowners to fulfill a firearms safety course in order to obtain their license. Such training courses, however, even when not required, are very advisable for the would be gun owner, as they ensure that he or she has all the necessary information on liability issues, on safety, and even on care and maintenance of the gun ( How to Get a Gun License 1). This lack of attention illustrates that despite the multiple tragedies that have taken place in our nation, some states do not even require a simple safety course that ensures the safety of our people. Furthermore, it is required that one must pass a background check. The questions asked on the test are the following: *Have you ever been convicted of a felony? *Have you ever been convicted of a misdemeanor crime of domestic violence? *Are you an unlawful user of, or addicted to, marijuana or any other depressant, stimulant, narcotic drug, or any other controlled substance? *Are you a fugitive from justice? *Have you ever been committed to a mental institution? The deductive argument from evil says they cannot. In this essay I will explain the argument and analyze why it is valid but unsound. I will do this by discussing fallacious nature of the premise that if God were omnipotent and knew he could prevent the existence of evil without sacrificing some greater good he would then necessarily prevent it. The essay will propose the following evaluation of the deductive argument from Evil: that each premise logically follows from its antecedent, but that the concepts in the premises themselves are not entirely understood and can be refuted. God s Omni benevolence, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... An even further analysis of the issue of misinterpretation of Omni benevolence, or false assumptions about God s nature, is the claim that the deductive argument from evil contains a referential fallacy; presuming that all words refer to existing things and that their meaning lies in what the refer to. This claim of the unsound nature of the argument asserts that the deductive argument from evil fallaciously assumes the idea of Omni benevolence is defined by existing ideas and worldly concepts of all good nature . It is logically possibly, however, that God s perfect goodness is beyond man s understanding and cannot be defined by actions or non actions relating to the evil of this world. Thus leading to the false conviction that God need necessarily eliminate all evil from the world in order to be inherently good. These forms of counter arguments to the deductive explanation of evil s non compatibility with God can be refuted. The following are defenses for the deductive argument that support the primary understanding of God s Omni benevolence as mandating the elimination of all existing evil. Firstly, Omni benevolence is a description of God s absolutely good nature and entails that God desires everything that is good. This desire to bring about good things also means a desire to prevent evil things from happening. Hence God s good nature doesn t need to necessarily lead to no omission of good actions, but it does lead to the necessary idea that God ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Finally, we hear an insider s view on being enslaved, how slaves were treated in Africa, and what the treatment of African slaves was like at the hands of the Europeans. His people needed guns because other villages had them. The guns were brought to Africa by the Europeans, who used them to trade. (That the Europeans both supplied and fulfilled this need bears mention.) Olaudah states that he had never seen a European; his people traded with wandering merchants who acted as middlemen. These middlemen traded guns for potash, which they probably used in trade again elsewhere. Later in his life Olaudah also saw iron pots, crossbows, and European cutlasses among African people. This clearly illustrates the trade that developed between coastal tribes and Europeans, and the existence of middlemen who worked along established trade routes. There is also evidence of the Columbian Exchange in this writing: the crops that Olaudah mentions his people raised. He says that they grew corn and tobacco, These crops were unknown in Afroeurasia before Columbus returned from the New World barely two hundred and fifty years earlier. These two crops traveled from the Western Hemisphere via very indirect trade routes, over a period of many years. They became staples in a rural village miles from the African coast. Given energy s importance in promoting economic growth, governments tend to assist the energy industry through policies that support research and development, provide low interest loans, and deliver subsidies to producers and or consumers. The Global Subsidies Initiative estimated that global subsidies to fossil fuel producers were approximately $100 billion in 2009 (Global Subsidies Initiative, 2009). Coady et al. (2010) estimated that consumer subsidies for petroleum products amounted to $57 billion, globally, in 2003, $519 billion in 2008, and $136 billion in 2009. Subsidies often reduce production costs, make energy affordable to consumers, and encourage development of new supply sources. Policies involving subsidies often have intended goals to address market failures or respond to social and distributional objectives. According to Komives et al. (2007), government support in the form of a subsidy can be critical for ensuring access to modern energy services, including electricity for the poorest, thereby enhancing societal welfare. • 43. The Effects Of Gun Violence On The United States In the United States, over the past few decades, gun violence has increased massively, leading to over 10,000 gun related incidents in 2015. The main cause of the massive amount of violence in the United States in recent decades is mainly because people who are in danger have no means to protect themselves. This is why guns should be more accessible for citizens, so that they can protect themselves in dangerous situations. Allowing citizens to conceal weapons would heavily decrease the amount of incidents that occur because innocent people were unable to protect themselves. Also, putting less control on guns would prevent crimes from even happening in the first place. If a criminal had intentions of committing a crime, they would be much less willing if they knew that they might possibly get shot trying to commit that crime. Thus, criminal activity and violent crimes will cease to continue at such high rates and more people will have the ability to protect themselves in dangerous situations. In areas with high crime rates, certain people are more affected than others, such as minorities, children, and women. America is facing a continuing epidemic of homicides among young black males. The number of black homicide victims killed by guns is rising at a sharp rate of fifty four percent. Studies have shown that consistently there are more black victims than white victims. A specific study done by the FBI has shown that per 100,000 black lives, 18.07 of people were victims of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
