Enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems integrate internal and external resources across business functions on a centralized database. ERP allows for real-time information sharing without data redundancy. Implementing ERP in logistics provides several benefits: it increases operational efficiency by allowing status tracking of goods; facilitates vehicle monitoring; enables connectivity with third parties; and improves communication between departments by providing a common database. Potential threats to ERP implementation will also be evaluated to determine the best technique for adoption within the organization.
