February 18th presentation
The survey results from teachers showed that the majority wanted professional development time spent on apps for the classroom. Most teachers do not use iPads at home. The teachers described themselves as knowing basic iPad functions but needing more training. Most had not heard of or used Edmodo, Google accounts, or certain educational apps. They listed favorite apps currently used and asked questions about iPad integration and classroom management strategies when using iPads. Responses provided systems for small group and individual iPad use including rotation schedules and classroom management tips. Suggested engaging apps focused on math, literacy, creativity and content areas.

He is known for developing psychoanalysis, a clinical method for treating psychopathology through dialogue between a patient and analyst to uncover unconscious desires and repressed memories. Gardner received many honors for his work including a MacArthur Fellowship and being the first American to receive the University of Louisville's Grawemeyer Award in Education. His theory of multiple intelligences challenged the traditional view that intelligence is a single general ability and that it can be adequately assessed by standard intelligence tests.

B.F. Skinner was an American psychologist and philosopher born in 1904 in Pennsylvania. He studied psychology at Harvard and developed his theory of operant conditioning, which examines how behaviors are influenced by consequences. Skinner believed behaviors that are reinforced through positive or negative stimuli are likely to be repeated, while behaviors not reinforced tend to weaken and disappear over time. He applied his theories of behavioral conditioning to develop techniques for behavior modification.

Jean Piaget was a Swiss psychologist known as the father of developmental psychology. He spent over 60 years researching cognitive development and proposed that humans progress through four distinct stages - sensorimotor, preoperational, concrete operational, and formal operational - as they interact with their environment and learn from their experiences. Piaget believed that learning is an active process where individuals construct their own knowledge and understanding through assimilation and accommodation.

Some of his major works included My Pedagogic Creed (1897), The School and Society (1900), and Democracy and Education (1916). Dewey viewed nature as continuously evolving and thought as an instrument to improve situations. He believed that education was equivalent to life itself.

He received his PhD from Brown University and worked as a professor at various universities. - 1. Platon, Ernest Joseph July 27, 2009 INTRIST S21 Ms. Estefanie Ulit The software that my partner and I picked was JumpStart 5th Grade. It is a software designed and developed by Knowledge Adventure. The topics of the software include Math, U.S. History, English, Science and a lot more. The software is obviously designed for Students in USA in the 5th Grade ages 11-12. The educational content and the entertainment content is balanced because the user will try and learn the lessons for them to finish the story and they need to understand it in order to finish the assessment in the end of the story. The Incorporation of learning in entertainment is hard because there should be balance on both sides because if it is not balanced the users will either become bored or become too excited that they will not learn anything from the software. Being able to design a local version of this software is very effective for the students here in the Philippines because we have a different curriculum here compared to the one in the US. most students will benefit to this especially those who do not have enough money to study in a good school. The use of an educational learning tool will make learning a better experience because a lot of people today enjoy gaming. Being able to put both entertainment and education in our design will enable us to make more effective learning materials. For me, children today are into games and being able to cope with their wants will help them not only in learning but also for their entertainment.
