Our school is not a member of a Montessori Erdkinder programme, but Montessori methods have been used, especially in the school curriculum both in preschool and in elementary and secondary education. This kind of methods has been implemented since 1998, with the introduction of national curriculum and school-based curriculum.
We continue to implement Montessori education at our institution as it seeks an ambitious goal: to help children develop into complete adult human beings, comfortable with the way they are, with society and humanity as a whole.
While the traditional approach to education remains focused on the transmission of knowledge, the Montessori approach focuses on sustaining and supporting the natural development of human beings.

Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.
We all have good and bad thoughts from time to time and situation to situation. We are bombarded daily with spiraling thoughts(both negative and positive) creating all-consuming feel , making us difficult to manage with associated suffering. Good thoughts are like our Mob Signal (Positive thought) amidst noise(negative thought) in the atmosphere. Negative thoughts like noise outweigh positive thoughts. These thoughts often create unwanted confusion, trouble, stress and frustration in our mind as well as chaos in our physical world. Negative thoughts are also known as “distorted thinking”.
2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

Erdkinder Montessori for Adolescents in Greece English version
1. The transnational meeting of the Erasmus+ project
"Erdkinder – Montessori for Adolescents" in Greece
The Plato M.E.P.E. School in Greece hosted, from 18th until 22nd March 2019, the fifth
Erasmus+ project meeting, with the reference number 2017-1-PL01-KA219-038429_5; the project was
designed to take place over a period of two years, until August 2019.
The project partners are: CDBWMS Children's House Sp. Z o. O. (Ltd.), in Warsaw, Poland;
Montessori-Initiative Vienna, Austria; "George Voevidca" Secondary School in Campulung
Moldovenesc, Romania; Mesleki Teknik Ortaöğretim, in Nevşehir, Turkey; Plato M.E.P.E., in
Ganochora, Greece, and Gymnázium Duhovka s.r.o., in Prague, the Czech Republic.
Two teachers from our school participated in this mobility meeting: Mrs. Lăcrămioara Băcanu
and Mrs. Petronela Năstase, alongside two teachers from Turkey and teachers and students from
Greece.
On the first day of the project meeting, participants in both the transnational meeting of project
coordinators and in the joint training event of the teaching staff were received by Mr. Anestis
Papadopoulos, Headmaster of PLATO School and we were given a tour of the school's premises. In
LTTA, Mr. Evangelos Kapetis, the project coordinator from Greece, gave a presentation of the Greek
educational system. The presentation was followed by a discussion between all partners comparing
their national education systems, special focus being placed on their positive and negative elements.
The second day of activity consisted in a documentary visit to the second largest city in Greece,
Thessaloniki, and was aimed at gathering information and acquiring knowledge in areas such as art,
history, geography, which we could use in class in activities based on the Montessori Method.
The third day started with Mr. Evangelos Kapetis’ presentation of how the Montessori methods
were adopted and have been used at PLATO School. A brainstorming session between partners on
these implementations followed. After lunch, there was a TPM meeting where, among other things, we
shared the activities implemented so far in the project, we discussed the last mobility meeting
scheduled to take place in Warsaw, Poland, between 14th and 18th May 2019.
On the first half of the fourth day of the meeting, the two teachers from Romania, Mrs.
Lăcrămioara Băcanu and Petronela Năstase, presented the Montessori methods they adopted and have
used in class or in the extracurricular activities carried out at their school. After this presentation,
discussions took place and suggestions were made regarding the implementation of Montessori
methods in the Romanian curriculum. The second half of the day was dedicated to the presentations
given by Mr. Ali Gözübek and by Mrs. Fatma Gümüş Tekin, representatives of the partner school in
Turkey. The presentation of the methods they adopted and have used in their school was followed by
discussions. All those present came to find out a number of interesting facts about Mrs. Fatma Gümüş
Tekin, namely that she holds qualifying courses in the Montessori Method, she set up a kindergarten
class at the level of the high school where she teaches and is the author of numerous books on the topic
of the Montessori Method.
On the fifth and final day of the project meeting, Mr. Evangelos Kapetis, the project
coordinator at PLATO School, gave a presentation on the "growing trend" of Montessori education in
Greece.
Training activities alternated with recreational moments that gave us a chance to become
familiar with many different aspects of Greek mythology, culture, civilization, spirituality and
traditions. All teachers were involved in these activities, benefiting from a real and useful exchange of
experience on the application of Montessori methods and modern didactic-pedagogical tools for the
2. purposes of professional and personal development by connecting to the European dimension of
education from a scientific and cultural perspective.
Lăcrămioara Băcanu, Physics teacher
Petronela Năstase, Kindergarten teacher
