This document discusses a Comenius Program project between Bulgaria and Turkey aimed at improving teaching and learning through increased use of information and communication technologies (ICT). The project's goals are to foster understanding between partners, establish lifelong learning habits, improve education quality and standards through enhanced ICT skills, and promote international cooperation. Key activities included visits between partners to share experiences and best practices using ICT in education.

3.  Comenius Program – Regio Partnerships is one of
the many European Union programs aiming to
foster collaborative efforts and exchange of
experience among school goers and teachers from
all EU member states plus Iceland, Lichtenstein,
Norway and Turkey. The program enables regional
and local education authorities from two regions to
cooperate on one or more topics of mutual
interest in collaboration with schools and other
organizations involved in the education process. It
is named after the Czech philosopher, humanist,
theologian and educator Jan Amos Komensky and
is part of the Lifelong Learning Program.

4. Project Rationale
 This project will provide a platform for dialogue between
the two key partners – Turkey and Bulgaria, and the other
stakeholders aiming to enhance teachers’ capacity and
provide regular updates in order to ensure dynamic and up-
to-date policy in the area of EU standards. It will also
provide a suitable framework of program plans and
effective ICT development and integration in education
which will improve the quality of education services.
 Both countries’ education systems will be reviewed in
details and discussed on the spot during the mobilities and
good practices will be shared.

with Montana Municipality and 4th Ivan Vazov Primary School,
in the “Making Teaching and Learning More Attractive through
ICT” project funded by the Comenius Program

 The library has been a place attracting
book loving children for a long time

book stock, but also for its Arts
Department (more widely known as the
Music Department), reading rooms and
ICT room

8. Geo Milev District Library is a dedicated host of
every school celebration or commemoration of
dates and anniversaries related to our history and
culture. Here children are taught of...book-loving.

9. Through their participation in the marathon of
reading people, children become a part of an
invisible highway connecting them to all reading
people from all over the world

10. The library has both books
and…“mice”, it offers enough
computers to those who like online
surfing, and the little ones are
frequent visitors of the ICT room

11. The main goal of the project is to improve the quality of
school subjects management, teaching and learning
through access to ICT which is increasingly important
in modern times and society.
