Arthur Square lives in the two-dimensional world of Flatland with his family including his daughter Hex. Hex has gone missing after going to discover if there are others like her. Arthur and his wife are worried because Hex said she would be home two days ago but has not returned. Arthur decides to go look for Hex by visiting other polygons in Flatland and taking photos to mail to Hex. He finds Hex at the market with other shapes. They give Arthur glow points and send him home, concluding the story.

She will be back soon.
That’s what he said yesterday, and the day before.
But not today.

she would be doing her homework
and learning about geometry.
