3. •MATHEMATICS
• In maths , I have been using rulers to
find how many centimetres a shape is.
• I have been measuring irregular shapes
and writing outside each edge how
many cm it is.
• I have been solving addition
, subtraction , multiplication and division
word problems.
• I have also been doing venn diagrams
and fractions.
• We have started learning Area &
Perimeter
4. •Literacy
• In literacy , we have been making a setting
, a character , a problem , a resolution and
an ending for space story.- we dressed up
as aliens and had an ‘ Alien Invasion Day’
• We learnt about in Egypt and Australia and
had various activties about them- even
dressed up as Pharaohs!!!
• We did lots of poems on different topics and
shape poems about recycling.
• We have been turning the story jack and
the beanstalk into a play script.
5. •humanities
• In humanities , we have been looking at the
earth , sun and moon . we have been using
balls and showing how the moon spins
around the earth and how the earth spins
around the sun.
• We have also been looking at the new moon
, the half moon , the crescent moon and the
gibbous moon.
6. •ICT
In ICT , we have been making PowerPoints –
such as on which tells us what do the houses
in Egypt have.
We have been finding pictures and information
about the houses in Egypt.
We have been going to websites and finding
out how many days each planet has in a year.
7. •Science
•We learnt about topics such as gravity
, shadow , magnets and sound.
•In science , recently, we have been
learning about friction .
•We have been using toy cars and making
it slide on different materials .
8. •Social studies
• In social studies , we have been discovering what
equipment old hospitals have and what equipment
modern hospitals have.
• We have been also making posters telling
information about the continents.
• We have been also making a poster which tells
information about landmarks in the middle east.
9. •FRENCH
In French , we have been learning how to
say the body parts.
We have also been learning to say pen
, book etc.
We have been learning to sing a song in
french.
10. •ARABIC
We have been learning how to say all the
body parts in arabic.
We have been learning how to say fruits
in arabic
We have been singing a song about the
traffic lights.
