 Post a flat start, the Nifty remained choppy throughout the day. However, expiry activity in the last hour led the in-
dex to close 93 points lower. India VIX fell 1.49% and settled at 15.07. Nifty future started with 103 points premium
for the January series. Nifty rolls were at 66.05%, lower than the 3M average of 70.66%.
 FIIs sold 2808 crore while DIIs bought 510 crore in the cash segment. FIIs sold 1303 crore in index futures and
bought 1036 crore in index options. In stock futures, they sold 1646 crore
 The highest Put base is at the 8000 strike with 39 lakh shares while the highest Call base is at the 8500 strike with 31
lakh shares. The 8300 and 8400 Calls witnessed addition of 10.14 and 17.28 lakh shares, respectively. The 8100 and
8000 Put strikes saw addition of 3.51 and 11.25 lakh shares, respectively
 Nifty Future: TThe Nifty is likely to open flat on the back of mixed global cues. It is likely to trade in the 8270-8340
range.
 Bank Nifty Future: The index has witnessed good rollover activity with a significant rise in rollover cost indicating
support is likely to come on dips.

F&O HIGHLIGHTS
INDEX OUTLOOK
 Equity market plunged sharply in late trades on Thursday on account of F&O expiry. The market moved in a thin
range today and exhibited lacklustre movement for a major part of the trading day, before taking a sudden knock in
late trades.
 The oil & gas, IT, FMCG, Healthcare and banking stocks were among the top laggards. Only the realty index on the
BSE managed to close in the positive terrain. The NSE Nifty touched a high of 8,286 in early trade, thereafter slipped
into the negative zone.

OI Chart Analysis: From the OI Chart we can see that in December Series addition of open interest
on the calls front is existent in the band at strike price of 8400-8300 indicating it as resistance on the
upside whereas on the put options front we can see that addition of open interest is existent at strike
price of 8200-8100 indicating it as immediate support zone on the downside
