 Wiping out most of its early gains, the Indian stock market ended lower in a volatile trading session on Wednesday,
taking a breather after Tuesday’s surge.
 Finally, the BSE Sensex ended with a loss of 66 points at 27,984. The BSE Sensex opened at 28,112 touched an intra-
day high of 28,131 and low of 27,926. The NSE Nifty closed with a loss of 19 points at 8,659. The Nifty opened at
8,698 hit a high of 8,699 and low of 8,637.
 The Nifty remained lacklustre and choppy for a major part of the day. With 1:1 advance decline ratio in Nifty stocks,
the index ended 20 points lower. Nifty futures premium settled at 6 points. India VIX rose 0.6% to 14.6.
 FIIs sold 283 crore while DIIs bought 723 crore in the cash segment. FIIs sold 112 crore in index futures and bought
133 crore in index options. In stock futures, they bought 111 crore.
 The highest Put base is at the 8600 strike with 49 lakh shares while the highest Call base is at the 9000 strike with 63
lakh shares. The 8700 and 8800 Call strikes saw additions of 1.5 and 1.9 lakh shares, respectively, while the 8600 and
8700 Put strikes saw additions of 3.7 and 1.8 lakh shares, respectively.
 Nifty Future: The Nifty is likely to open positive on the back of strong Asian cues. Buy Nifty in the range of 8640-
8650 for target of 8720, stop loss: 8625.
 Bank Nifty Future: Few private sector banks witnessed a decent rally on the back of short covering. However, on the
back of selling in other stocks, the index ended almost flat. We feel the index has a strong support near 19300. A
move above 19600 is likely to trigger short covering. Buy Bank Nifty in the range of 19350-19400, targets: 19550-
19650, stop loss: 19290
