• It’s like instructions, to cut open
something.

could be a beautiful

people to escape to the other
side.
“How illegal is it to vandalize a wall, if the wall itself has
been deemed unlawful by the International Court of Justice?
– Banksy in his website introduction to his Wall project.
A conversation between Banksy and an old
Palestinian man
Old Man: You paint the wall, you make it look beautiful.
Banksy : Thanks
Old Man: We don’t want it to be beautiful, we hate this wall, go home.
Type of materials used for mural
painting
• For Banksy, his materials
used are fairly simple.
• Brushes
• Stencil + Spray Paint
• Stencil is usually hand drawn
or printed on a cardboard.
I use whatever it takes. Sometimes that just means drawing a moustache on a
girl's face on some billboard, sometimes that means sweating for days over an
intricate drawing. Efficiency is the key. - Banksy
- In his book, Wall And Piece; Banksy stated that he couldn’t finish his art
at one go, and would often get caught before completing.
- He used stencils to be more efficient.
