What is the environment?
The air, water, minerals, organisms, and all other external
factors surrounding and affecting a given organism at any time.
What is sustainability?
The ability to continue a defined behavior indefinitely.
Because the aim of this goal is to manage
the environment so that the natural
resources people need to survive will be
available to future generations.
•Least developed countries are more dependent on
agriculture and natural resources than most countries
• if resources run out then it could have a devastating
impact
•1.7 Billion people live in countries that are water-
stressed where water supply is decreasing
•The number can increase to 5 billion
•Limited resources like water can weaken the
development advancement

YouthCan is a youth run organization that uses technology to
inspire, connect and educate people world wide about
environmental issues, through a network of conferences,
activities and events youth in different countries are able to
exchange ideas about the environment and empower others to
make a difference in their own communities
to be able to succeed in this goal it is necessary for certain
things to be done
•Give poor people more opportunities to participate in making
decision that effect their environment
• Environmental Sustainability need to be integrated into all
policy decisions
•Monitoring and enforcements on the natural resources need to
be strengthened
