- 3. Environment means the surroundings or conditions in which a person ,animal, or plant lives or operates. Or Environment is a place ,people ,thing and nature that surrounds any living organism. It is a combination of natural and man made resources.

- 13. Solid crust or hard top layer of the Earth. Made up of rock ,soil and minerals. Includes landforms like mountains, plains, plateaus, valleys, etc,. Found in continents and ocean floor.
- 14. Comprises all sources of water Like rivers, lakes, ponds, seas, oceans,etc,. It is essential for all living organisms.
- 15. Thin layer of air that surrounds the Earth. Gravitational force of the Earth holds it. It protects us from harmful ultra violet rays from the Sun. It consists of number of gases, dust, water vapour. The changes in atmosphere causes changes in weather and climate.
- 16. Narrow zone of the Earth where land, water, air meet and support life is called biosphere. Plants and animals together make biosphere.
- 18. An eco system includes all of the living things (plants, animals and organisms) in a given area ,interacting with each other and also with their non-living environments (weather, sun , soil, climate)

- 20. Human beings interact with the environment and modify it according to their needs. We learned to grow crops and create a system wherein transaction take place.
