waste.

10. BIO-MEDICAL WASTE MANAGEMENT RULES 2016
 Phase out chlorinated plastic bags, gloves &
blood bags.
 Pre-treatment of laboratory & hospital waste.
 Bar code system.
 Classified into 4 categories.

11. WETLANDS RULES 2017
 Decentralization of wetland management.
 CWRA is replaced with NWC.
 State have to prepare a list of all wetlands.
 Prohibit or regulate the activities of notified
wetland areas.
 Effective conservation & management.
 By new definition 65% of wetland will lose the
status of wetland.

12. THE OZONE DEPLETING SUBSTANCE RULES
 Environment (protection) Act in July 2000.
 Prohibit the use of CFCs.
 Use of Halons is prohibited.
 Use Methyl bromide is prohibited.
 HCFCs are allowed upto 1st January 2040.
