He was born in a middle-class family in Nellore and started his career in the gold business by selling his mother's gold bangle. He launched the first Lalitha Jewellery showroom in Chennai in 1983 and has since expanded to 15 branches across India. Last year Lalitha Jewellers turn over Rs. 11,000 crores and this
year it might be Rs. 15,000 crores, approximately.
In a recent interview, Kiran said his target for 2020 is Rs 5000
crore.
10. FREEOF WASTAGECOST:
The first Lalitha Jewellers showroom was launched in 1985
andStarted in Chennai.
And Lalitha Jewellers designers are from Mumbai, Kolkata,
Rajkot, Kerala and Coimbatore areas.
In gold shops in Usual there is 1 to 8% and sometimes 9%
wastage and here there is none of this and there is no even
making charges.

Raja to which Kiran Kumar replied asking back “Why you
should take tension ? One should give tension to others but not
receive.
We will die sooner if we get tensed often.
We have 40 hops now, let’s make it 400” he casually said.
