This document provides an overview and schedule for a school's Virtual Active Schools Week. It includes a variety of activities each day such as art classes, cooking demonstrations, dance lessons, and fitness videos. Students are encouraged to participate in the daily activities and submit entries for competitions in art, baking, and an obstacle course. Photos and videos of the activities will be used as evidence for the school's application for an Active School award. The schedule provides links to online resources as well as materials and instructions needed for the various activities each day.

2. A little note……
We are all very excited here in ENS because this week we are having our own ‘Virtual Active Schools
Week’. For this week we have included a variety of fun activities for you to complete at home with
your family.
We are very lucky to have some local people and businesses involved in our Active Schools Week.
We start off our week with a Virtual School Tour as sent on by your teacher. On Tuesday we have art
with Veronica Moloney from ‘the_positivity_project’, Veronica does children’s art classes and camps.
On Wednesday we have a cook along with Frank Landy and his side kick Faye from Sweet n’Green
Café who will muster up some delicious healthy treats. Thursday, we put on our dancing shoes as we
are joined by dancer Doug Reddan, coach of Fly Youth who performed in Ireland’s Got Talent. On
Friday we have James Ferns from Ferns Fitness who will put us through our paces. We are very lucky
to have these talented people involved in our Virtual Week and very thankful for their amazing videos.
This week is all about taking part and having fun. We want you to participate as much as possible
throughout the week. We are delighted with the competition entries that have already started to come
through to us. We have some extremely talented children in ENS. If you have not already submitted
an entry for the three competitions you still have time, you will see the closing dates for the
competitions in the timetable below. We would love to see photos of your amazing baking, art and
obstacle courses. They can be sent to ennisns@yahoo.com with your name, class and teacher.
We are going for the Active School Flag this year and we are adjudicated on the process in relation to
different criteria. Photographic and video evidence is one part of the criteria and extremely important
to gain our Active School status. We would really appreciate if you could forward on any pictures or
videos of your children practising events for our Virtual Sports day which takes place on Friday
to ennisns@yahoo.com to help with our Active School application.
From Tuesday to Thursday practise events, gather equipment and choose the country you would like
to represent on Friday (Virtual Sports Day). On Thursday, have a family vote to choose 5 events and
the design of the obstacle course. Make out a timetable and display it. Thursday is the day to get
equipment and treats organised.
NB- Read notes/timetable the night before to make sure you are prepared for your day.

OUR VIRTUAL SPORTS DAY IS TODAY!
You should have all logged into the Healthy Kidz App by now. If you are having any technical issues
you can contact Chris from Healthy Kidz on info@healthy-kidz.com. He will be more than willing to
help you.
Get up early. Have breakfast. Put on your country colours and get your face painted (optional).
Warm up with James Fern’s video. Start the music for the ‘official start’ of sports day. Go
through events and don’t forget to record them (photos/videos). Have a break after 3 or 4 events.
Drink plenty of water. The obstacle course is the final event. Make sure you record this event.
