  4. Analysed the programme using the JISC digital capabilities model
  5. Identified issues
  6. Gaps identified
  7. Building a resource library
  8. Resource library, using multiple sources
  9. Support structure in the University
  10. We need to construct the curriculum in a way that will allow the student to develop better digital skills
  11. First make sure that everybody pulls in and is on board!
  12. Identifying the staff’s strengths and where they can be developed
  13. We need to use the SCQF’s Digital Skills structure together with the Digital Capabilities and Beetham and Sharpe’s model (Modules need to be less prescriptive in terms of the technology that students can use)
  14. Build new curriculum taking into account all aspects of the programme and basing the development of the digital skills on the Digital Capabilities framework, Beetham and Sharpe’s framework AND the SCQF
  15. Build-up of the skills throughout the programme needs to be developmental
  16. Make sure that support is available at all levels!
  17. Add Digital Skills explicitly to the module descriptors and module handbooks
  18. Students can develop their eportfolio easily throughout their studies
  19. The result would be digitally confident and competent graduates
