2. I walked home from my football match, with my body covered with mud and
dirt, and foul stench that can be sniffed from miles away. As my mother noticed my
arrival, she flinched and quickly grabs a mysterious object from the top shelves and
handed it onto my hand.
“Use it well or there won’t be any dinner for you tonight,” She whispered in my
ear, then she kicked and locked me in the basement bathroom.
Confused from that spontaneous awkward scene, I stood up and looked at my
locked fist,too afraid to discover what mysterious object lies under. Trusting my
senses, I felt the object’s icy cold body, like the skin of a cold-blooded predator, but
its gentle weight feels like a delicate dove. I hold my breath and closed my eyes,
slowly exposing the object under my hand. I peaked, and what I thought it is, it is not.
I lay naked on the floor, puzzled by this mysterious object. I observed from top
to bottom and it looks just like a plain blue brick-like object,with minor scratches on
its surface probably caused by my fingernails when I was clenching my fist. And from
that, I knew it may seem hard to break, but it can be easily damaged as well.
Furthermore there’s a weird inscription embedded on its surface writing “Protex
Fresh”. Is it a verse to summon the demon? I knocked the object with my knuckles to
check whether there’s a spawn of mini Satan hiding inside. But all I hear is a thick,
dull echo through my ear. I exhaled, knowing that I’m safe, for now.However I gave
up and threw the object aside and started showering.
But midway through, I started to smell a delightful aroma coming from the
corner of the room. I followed the scent, and it led me to that object I just threw aside.
But this time, its physical appearance has somehow changed. As soon as I picked it
up, I felt as if the object is covered with some lubricant substance, surrounded with

3. beautiful bubbly foams. Does water unlocks the hidden power kept in this mysterious
object? And while I was thinking, it slipped through my fingers and hit the ground. I
gazed onto my foamy palm and sniffed, and it smelled like a field of a thousand
roses. Fascinated, I picked up the object again and wonder what happens if I rub this
object around my foul and dirty body? Would I be blessed with this aroma? Without
hesitation, I rub that object around my body under the steamy shower.
As I was showering, the physical appearance of the object started to change
again, it started to get smaller and smaller, as if it’s dying. And for all the blessing it
has done to my body, I would give it an honorable death. So after 3 hours of
intensive showering, the object finally disappears into nothingness, with some of its
remains still attached onto my body. I kneeled down, cried and screamed in sorrow.
“Is everything alright inside? You have been there for 3 hours, stop playing
with the soap bar and come out!” My mother yelled at the top of her lungs, with a
tone of sympathy
I stopped, raised my eyebrows and replied “What is a soap bar?”
